Kirstie Allsopp Lansdowne Rose Shower Gel, Hand Soap & Hand Lotion

Hi there! My local Home Bargains store is now stocking Kirstie Allsopp products for only £1.99 each (they’re about £8 each at Waitrose). So I got myself three 400ml rose-scented products. Meet Kirstie Allsopp Lansdowne Rose Shower Gel, Hand Soap and Hand Lotion.

I like that the shower gel and the hand soap aren’t drying at all. And the hand lotion is non-sticky and fast-absorbing – and it makes my hands feel moisturised and soft. I like!

Now let’s get to the fragrance! I think this Lansdowne Rose fragrance is very nice. Most of the time I find rosey scents a bit annoying. I think they’re usually not very well done – or they smell a bit sweaty. But this rose fragrance is absolutely perfect. It’s clean, clear, feminine and it’s very ‘Turkish delight’. Very nice!

I also love the cute bottle designs. And I think these products would look great in a home-made gift box or hamper. If you’d like to try Kirstie Allsopp products for less than their RRP, you should swing by your local bargain stores. Good luck!

Olay Total Effects Radiance Enhancing Cream Wash

Olay TT Face WashHi there! If you read my blog, you know I’m an Olay girl who’s on a long-term quest to try all the Olay products out there. 🙂

And I wanted to try Olay’s Total Effects Radiance Enhancing Cream Wash for ages – but the product seemed to disappear from the shelves. But the last time I swung by my local Family Bargains store, I found this face wash for £1.99 only!

Now that I’ve used the face wash for about two weeks, I wish I’d tried it sooner. I’m not sure if this face wash makes my skin more radiant, but it feels absolutely great on the skin, and it exfoliates very gently. I love it!

If you always wanted to try this face wash, pop by your local discount stores to check if they have it. Priced at £1.99 (Family Bargains) this face wash is a total steal!

My Holy Grail Of Hair Care – Herbal Essences Classics Silk N’ Shine & Moisture Balance Shampoo and Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about my all-time favourite shampoos and conditioners: Herbal Essences Silk N’ Shine and Herbal Essences Moisture Balance. I think Herbal Essences’ Classics collection is the holy grail of hair care.

But before I review the products, let me tell you what my hair is like. I’ve got long and curly hair which I wash, condition and blow-dry every day. I don’t use any styling products or tools and I gave up brushing my hair ages ago. Yeah, I’m one of those! But what’s most important is that I don’t have any split ends, and my hair is soft, bouncy and shiny.
Herbal Essences Classics
OK, let me start with the shampoos: They’re excellent at cleansing and restoring shine. Honestly, nothing else cleanses my hair the way these shampoos do. They get rid of grease and grime, but at the same time they’re incredibly gentle. And I’m saying this as someone who has not only sensitive skin but also eczema.

My husband also loves the original Herbal Essences shampoos, especially after the gym, because they cleanse his hair and scalp like nothing else does.

The conditioners are the best ones I’ve ever used. Nothing else could compete with them. Even if it were my mission in life to think up the perfect conditioner, I couldn’t even imagine anything that could be better than these.

That’s because these Herbal Essences conditioners detangle my curly hair easily, they provide tons of moisture without weighing my hair down or making it greasy, they smell absolutely divine, and they make my hair silky, soft and shiny.

Herbal Essences Silk N’ Shine and Herbal Essences Moisture Balance shampoos and conditioners are available as 400 ml bottles for £3.79 each – but there’s always a half price or BOGOF offer somewhere. Seriously, try this collection!

No matter if you pick the pink or the yellow bottles – the products work for all hair types. And they will give you clean, shiny and gorgeous smelling hair. What’s not to love? Feel free to let me know what you think about this collection. 🙂

Naked 1 Dupe – MakeUp Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 1

Hi there! Today’s post is about my MakeUp Revolution Iconic 1 eye palette. It’s been sitting in my drawer for ages. But I’ve finally gotten around to use it. You may know that I’ve got lots of eyeshadows and palettes and I’m trying hard to empty products before I start to use new ones. But that doesn’t always work. And I’ve accepted that. 🙂

Now let’s have a look at the Iconic 1 palette. This is a beautiful nude/neutral palette. It contains 12 yeshadows – 10 shimmers and 2 mattes. It’s a great dupe for Urban Decay’s Naked Palette. But this isn’t news. I think everyone who knows MakeUp Revolution knows that many of their products are dupes for high end beauty products.
MUR Iconic 1
Let’s take a closer look at the eyeshadows. Shade 1 is a pale nude shimmery highlighter shade. Shade 2 is similar, but it’s more pinkish. Shade 3 is a pale beige / light brown. Shade 4 is a pale pinkish bronze. Shade 5 is a matte light brown. And shade 6 is a beautiful gold. All the shimmers (1, 2,4,6) are highly pigmented. The mattes (3,5) are ok – they’re not great, but they’re not bad either.
MUR Iconic 1
Shade 7 is a deep golden brown. Shade 8 is a warm brown. I love the intensity of shade 9 which is a beautiful vintage rose colour. Shade 10 is another brown. It’s lighter and (in my opinion) a bit ‘toastier’ than shade 8. Shade 11 is a shimmery dark grey. And shade 12 is a beautiful steel blue.
MUR Iconic 1
My favourite shades are 6, 7 and 9 – the two goldie ones and the vintage rose. But all the other shades are beautiful too. I think the Iconic 1 is a very pretty nude eye palette. And the quality is great. The eyeshadows last long and most of them are highly pigmented. The Iconic 1 palette is £4 only – a total steal!

Hi there! Today’s post is just a little shopping advice. 😉 OK, here it is! If you love I Love… products, swing by your local Poundland! I was really happy when I found a few I Love… Cherry Almond Sparkle body butters the other day – but now I found so much more!

I bought…

I won’t touch the Coconut & Cream products because I hate the taste, texture and smell of coconuts. But I know many people who love all things coconut. So the two I Love… Coconut & Cream products I bought will be given to someone who will like and use them. I also have a few (unopened) Cherry Almond Sparkle body butters now. These will also be given away.

So if you’re looking for a few little beauty treats for yourself, keep your eyes peeled the next time you’re at Poundland. Or if you’d like to give someone a really nice beauty hamper – go get a basket and fill it with I Love… products!

I Love… products are £2.99 at drugstores, supermarkets, etc. But Poundland currently stocks the Cherry Almond Sparkle limited edition and a few other lines (which I think are about to be discontinued). I’ll go back to Poundland soon!

Cute Necklaces – Strawberry’s Owl and Melon Necklaces

Hi there! Today’s post is not about beauty, toiletries or skin care, but about two of my favourite necklaces. I have lots of necklaces – mostly cute ones – but also a few grown-up ones. But let’s start with the fun ones. 🙂

The necklace on the left is basically a super cute little owl that’s ‘hanging’ from a branch. I bought it years ago – at Claire’s Accessories. But I still love to wear it.
Necklaces
The necklace on the right is another one I bought ages ago – but this one’s from Accessorize. I really love my melon (slice) necklace. It’s cute, but it’s not over the top. And I love to wear it to work.

What do you think? How cute are these two necklaces? And do you have any cute (cheap) necklaces or bracelets etc. which you’ve had for ages and which you’re still wearing? 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rainbow Foils

Hi there! The past few days were really busy because Christmas 2015 was the first time I ordered most of my sale stuff online. Chasing the postie for my parcels, trying on countless items and returning some of them was quite a drag.

122015 FoilsI usually hit the stores on Oxford Street on Boxing Day – and I am one of those people who catch the first tube to make sure I arrive before everyone else. 🙂

But not this year. I ordered my ‘half price or less’ shopping online, and I only went to Boots to check which half price gift sets were still available in store.

I was really busy with all the clothes, parcels, bags and return notes (first world problems, I know). And I didn’t have the energy to make a fuss about my nails.  So I went with a simple foil mani.

I painted my nails with NYC Expert Last 205 Boundless Berry. And then I went nuts with my favourite multi-coloured foils again. Then top coat. And the job was done!
