Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab, Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate, Barry M Masquerade & Stamping With JQ-L04

Rimmel Black Cab Andrea Fulerton Kate JQ-L02, Essence Stampy Polish White Barry M MasqueradeHi there! After a few recent nail fails I seem to have found my mani mojo again. 🙂 So today’s post is about a recent mani I really, really liked.

As usual, I didn’t know what to do with my nails. So I started with two base colours – Andrea Fulerton Nail Boutique Kate (pinky, index finger) and Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab (ring finger, middle finger, thumb).

I wanted to stamp. So I selected a few pretty images from my JQ-L04 stamping plate. And I stamped on the images with Essence’s Nail Art Stampy Polish in white.

But I also wanted some sparkle. And I opted for Barry M‘s Masquerade (gold, fuchsia and light blue glitter in a clear base).

I’m very pleased with how the mani turned out. It’s got a butterfly and floral images, glitter, purple and black & white. What’s not to love? 🙂 Please feel free to let me know what you think about this mani. And thank you for stopping by!

    • Thank you so much! xoxo

Please don’t give up stamping! Just keep the following in mind:

Don’t press the stamper onto your nails – but do roll your nail over the stamper to pick up the image.

Don’t just stamp – check the image on the stamper first. If it doesn’t look right, try again.

Don’t clean your stamping supplies right away – just leave them until you remove your nail polish, then you clean up your nails and your stamping supplies in one go. 🙂

Anything in particular that’s difficult or annoying. If so, let me know. I’m happy to see if I can help. My manis go wrong all the time too. And I’ve stamped for ages and I’ve come across so many problems… but I solved them all, I think. So maybe I can help? Just give me a virtual shout. xx

    • Thank you! 🙂

I’m doing my nails every two to three days. I get bored of my manis quickly. Actually I’d love to do my nails every day. If I win the lottery – no, hold on. I mean AS SOON AS I win the lottery, I’ll be a lady of nail art and leisure. 😀

The posts I’m doing this week are actually ‘old’ pics & posts from the last few weeks. Even though I had the posts written up, I never got around to actually publish them ‘on time’… and I also forgot to put a picture of the pink and black ‘sample mani’ in the stamping tutorial post and I only realised it last Sunday when I went through my nail photos…

So this week is all about catching up with last month’s manis. I don’t want to deprive the world of my nail adventures. 😀

All jokes aside, maybe I can help someone find a cool stamping plate or encourage them to play with colours, glitter polishes and stamping….

      • I do mine once a week but I’ve been wanting to increase it to twice a week simply because I have SO. MANY. nail polishes that remain unworn! It’s a shame, truly.
I don’t do stamping / nail art simply because I work in an office and I’m unsure how it would be received. But I think if I was to do it for Fridays, it won’t raise eyebrows as much…
All the best to you on your lottery goals – you can do it! 😛 😉

      • Thanks, stashy! 🙂

I think you could try an accent nail, maybe with a floral image or something like that.

I too work in an office. I work in Financial Services. In Compliance. Serious business, so to speak. But we don’t have a dress code. Well, we’re not supposed to wear football shirts or clothes with rude prints and things like that – but almost everything else is OK. And no one bats an eyelid when people wear flip flops or when dye their hair green (not joking!) or when they have funny manis. I think it helps that we’re a specialist department and that we don’t face cusromers. But I have to admit that this non-existent dress code is quite rare in my field of work. All other companies I’ve worked for insisted on ‘business dress’…
