Hi there! Today’s post is another nail post. I’ve previously mentioned that orangey colours are my least favourite nail polish colours.
However, I have lots of orange and coral nail polishes, and for some reason I keep buying them.
For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 027 Love Match – a bright summer orange that’s fully opaque in two thin coats.
The stamping plate I chose is called Flowers 18. It’s a cheap no-name plate I found online.
I liked the green/green, blue/blue and mauve/pink manis I did recently, so I thought I’d try orange/red this time.
I chose an old untried polish, Manhattan Quick Dry 60 Seconds 46K, as my stamping polish. 46K isn’t a glamorous name, but the polish looks nice – it’s a creamy vampy red that also stamps well.
I think this mani turned out OK. The images don’t look that great on my nails, and the colour combo isn’t a favourite. But the mani looked really nice from a few feet away. 🙂 Please feel free to let me know what you think. And thanks for reading!
I don’t own many orange polishes either – I feel like they’re only good for toes or for Halloween! 😛 I used to have a few of those NYC polishes but they chipped quickly on me.

I love NYC’s formula. Too bad it doesn’t work for you. I think it’s because not every base or top coat works with every polish. I can make most formulas work for me when I use simple clear polish as base and top coat.

I actually love this floral motif ! It looks like it would be nice out at the beach with a white sundress and a big straw hat !

Thank you! Try stamping, it’s super easy once you get the hang of it. I’ve written a full tutorial – including everything you need and all those tips and tricks that I wish I had known when I started. If you’re interested, you can read it here:

It’s pretty much a fact – or at least it is for me – that you’ll use the polishes you like the least the most. 🙂

Absolutely! It feels like “OK, I don’t like it, but I bought it and now I have to use it.” I guess one could call it product guilt. 😀
But your manis look always awesome! You have brilliant mani ideas all the time. You’re so creative!

Thank you so much, that’s really nice of you to say. I try to keep it weird and random. 🙂 “Product guilt” is awesome – that’s what I’m going to call it from now on, because that’s totally what it is!
