Hi there! Today’s post is another nail post. I don’t wear yellow nail polish very often. But I’ve got dozens of yellow polishes. And since it’s still summer, I thought now’s the time for a yellow mani.
You may notice that my nails are considerably shorter than last week. Nope, no nail accident this time. (Yay!) They just got too long so I filed them down again.
Now back to the mani! I painted my nails with Bourjois So Lacque 39 Jaune Trendy (two coats).
The stamping plate I chose was JQ-L02. This is one of my stamping plates that feature smaller (but beautiful!) images only – so I can only use these plates when my nails are relatively short.
I don’t remember which black polish I used to stamp on the images. And I also don’t remember how I managed to put a dent in the middle finger, but in real life it was barely noticeable.
All in all, I think the mani turned out alright. I think the yellow polish is quite ugly on its own, but it’s a wonderful base colour for stamping. Actually, I have an idea for an awesome mani that requires a yellow base. If I manage to pull it off, you’ll read it here first. 🙂
I really like these and I love the shade of yellow. Also, I am so jealous of your nail shape!

creative use of the yellow.not a colour i would be adventurous with though. probably looks better on certain skin tones. but after your stamping it looks like a batik print. very nice

Why do you have so many yellow polishes! I think I own 2… and I’ve only worn one and only once as my pedi. I don’t think I could wear yellow on my mani with a straight face. 😛 The stamping design is really pretty though!

Thanks. 🙂
I have so many yellow polishes because they’re always on sale for £1 at the discount stores.
I know yellow isn’t the greatest nail colour for lighter skin tones, but I still like it a lot better than orange or ‘nude’ nail colours, or frosty finishes… and yellow is a great base for stamping! By the way, this week is going to be nail week again, and I’ll be showing some off some of my most shocking nail fails!
About those toes… I always paint my toe nails black. Always. It sounds stupid, but these cute little black toe nails put a smile on my face every time I step in the shower. I think they really look cute! 😀

I know yellow is an unusual nail colour, but it’s a great base colour for stamping.
