Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Brightening Radiance Balm. This product is meant to be a applied onto freshly cleansed skin – that’s what it says on the box. And it promises to awaken skin’s natural glow and to illuminate skin instantly – with the help of kiwi, mulberry and sugar beet extracts, and light reflecting particles. Is this product any good? Does it work? If you read on, I’ll let you know.
The first thing I noticed is that this product doesn’t contain sunscreen. I know some people prefer to use a separate sunscreen, and some people don’t use any sunscreen at all. However, I want my day creams to have at least SPF 15, otherwise I can’t really bring myself to use them as day creams.
Another thing I don’t love is the insane amount of shimmer in this product. It’s just too much. And the shimmer particles are relatively chunky, so they’re visible. I must, however, say that this product makes my complexion look surprisingly nice and healthy. I didn’t expect this at all!
But then… this product isn’t very hydrating. When I apply it, it feels quite rich – for about 15 seconds. And then it starts to feel dry and tight which isn’t OK at all. Because of this I think this product can only be suitable for people with oily skin. People with dry skin won’t get much joy from it.
I will empty this tube, no doubt. But I’ll be using this product on homeworking days and stay-at-home-and-do-nothing Sundays only. And I’ll mix the radiance balm with Olay’s Total Effects CC Cream – which is quite rich, so my skin should be fine. 🙂
If you’d like to try Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant Brightening Radiance Balm, the 50ml tube is £5.99 at Superdrug. I got mine for £2.95 (better than half price offer), so keep your eyes peeled for promotions!
I’m not a fan of super sparkly face creams. Too bad this one wasn’t moisturizing enough.

The good thing is that I know I don’t have to stock up on this product! 😉

Such a bummer this didn’t work out. The chunky glitter would bother me as well.

Aww I suffer from dry skin so this wouldn’t really work out for me. Shame because I’m a massive fan of glitter ⭐️🎉
