    • Sorry to heat about your nails. I think it’s best to avoid gel and acrylics… just avoid the salon altogether. Just do your nails at home. If you think the surface of your nails is too uneven, just apply 2 layers of base coat before your colour polish. That way you can hide ridges and your nails will look perfectly smooth. And in addition to that your nails will feel much stronger. ♥

      • Practise, practise, practise! You’ll get better, no doubt!

There were times when I thought I could never wear nail polish because my nails were so ugly and I was really bad at painting my nails. However, I started to paint my nails anyway. Yes, my manis were awful, my nails had different shapes and lengths, I had nail polish under my cuticles all the time… but I didn’t give up and I got better. At some point I realised that I had better manis than the girls who had their nails done at a salon. So I played with different top coats and I started to buy stamping plates… I went from nail ripper (yes, it was that bad) to nail nut in 6 months. And I haven’t looked back. 🙂

      • Oh no! I used to do that too… try to moisturise your hands (incl the cuticles) like a maniac. You won’t love your sticky hands, but it shouldn’t take longer than 10 days for your cuticles to heal. And they will heal because hand cream doesn’t taste great so you have no choice but to stop chewing. Good luck!
