Hi there! Whilst I love reasonably priced hair care products, I’ve never tried Superdrug’s Extracts hair products – until just a few weeks ago. So now let me tell you if Superdrug’s Extracts Grapefruit & Papaya Shampoo & Conditioner for fine hair are any good.
I think the shampoo is average. It cleanses alright, it feels OK on my head and in my hair… and that’s basically it. The conditioner is perfectly mediocre too. It’s not a good conditioner, but it’s also not a bad one. If I use a generous amount of product, I can detangle my hair without too much trouble. However, this conditioner doesn’t make my hair feel very smooth – and I haven’t noticed any other benefits.
I will continue to use these products. I think they’re OK for as long as they last me. But I won’t be buying the shampoo or the conditioner again. If you’re looking for great hair care products that smell lovely and cost next to nothing, try Alberto Balsam!
Superdrug’s Extracts Grapefruit & Papaya Shampoo & Conditioner are vegan and cruelty-free. They’re BUAV-approved and they carry the Leaping Bunny logo. Superdrug’s Extracts shampoos and conditioners are usually £1.99 each for 400ml. I paid 89p each (promotion)!
That’s too bad these are average / mediocre – the packaging looks really nice. Ooh I remember Alberto Balsam – I haven’t seen that brand in stores in ages.

The packaging looks really nice, too bad that they didn’t perform well!
