Hi there! January 2019 is already over, so it’s time for my January Empties post. Read on if you’d like to know which products I said goodbye to last month and what I’d repurchase. 🙂
1 Elizavecca Gold CF Nest Collagen Jella Pack Mask – this stuff was terrible. Good riddance!
2 Wonder Woman Shower Gel (travel size, x2) – I did enjoy these. I would definitely pick up another Wonder Woman toiletries set in the future.
3 The Body Shop Almond Milk & Honey Calming & Protecting Hand Cream – this is a nice hand cream, but priced at £5 for 30ml it’s too expensive for what it is. I received this hand cream as part of a gift, but I wouldn’t buy it for myself.
4 Nivea Indulging Moisture Cocoa Caring Shower Cream – my husband and I loved this shower cream, so this is a shared empty. I will repurchase it.
5 Imperial Leather Uplifting Raspberry & Pomegranate Shower Gel – this is a nice shower gel that, fortunately, doesn’t smell half as sweet as it sounds. I might buy it again.
6 Patisserie De Bain Sugared Violet Hand & Body Lotion – this is an average body lotion. It’s good for when you’re in a hurry because it absorbs quickly, but it’s not good enough for dry to very dry skin. I won’t repurchase it.
7 NSPA Orient – a lovely and unique fragrance that I enjoyed very much. I’d love to buy it again, but it’s been discontinued.
8 Boots Garden Collection Magnolia Body Wash (travel size, x2) – this is a lovely shower gel. I hope Boots will bring back their Garden Collection at some point because I would love to buy the set again!
9 Skinlab Revitalise & Hydrate Facial Serum – this serum makes my skin glow! I would like to buy it again!
10 Nivea Indulgent Moisture Orange Shower Cream – I love it! I have another bottle or 2 in my stash.
11 Original Source Skin Quench Pineapple & Moringa Oil Body Lotion – this body lotion smelled terrible, so my husband and I used it as a foot lotion – and it actually did a great job. I wouldn’t buy it again, though.
12 Gliss Hair Repair Total Repair Conditioner – this is a lovely conditioner. I will repurchase it (and the matching shampoo), no doubt.
On top of this I’ve used a number of single-use face masks. No, I still don’t keep the empty sachets for the monthly empties post, but if you’re interested in the masks I’ve tried recently, click here to read about my latest face masks finds. 🙂
Well done this month!

I read about the terrible weather in North America. I hope you’re OK. Stay warm! xoxo

Thank you! 🙂
I’m still trying to get on top of my toiletries stash… Eventually I’ll get there.
Thanks for stopping by!

I always get a little envious of those who can go through shower gels and body washes so quickly! Some scents sound really nice but I can’t use anything like that as I have super sensitive skin x

It’s too bad about your skin. I remember you wanted to try to TBS honey and almond shower milk. I know it was ages ago, but did that work out?

You seem to finish so many shower gels and creams each month! Are they really that easy to use up? Or have you been working on them for a while? Either way, the amount of empties you have each month is impressive!

Thanks! 🙂
But don’t forget that 4 of the shower gels I emptied last month were travel sizes!
Anyhoo, yes, I go through toiletries quickly. I shower twice a day, and I use body lotion or body butter after pretty much every shower because I have insanely dry skin and eczema.
My husband sometimes “helps” with the shower gels. He has his own shower and hair stuff (At the moment he has 3 shampoos and 4 shower gels in his rota!), but if he likes one of my shower gels, he’ll use it too (he loved the Nivea Cocoa shower cream last month).
Sometimes it takes me a while to get through a product – it took me over 1 year to finish the tiny TBS hand cream, almost a year and a half to finish the Elizavecca face mask, and there are 2 shower gels that have been sitting by the shower since last summer…
This month I’ve already finished a body butter (although that one’s been in use for ages), a cleansing milk and 2 travel sized shower gels. I think I’ll finish another body butter and a face wash by the end of the week. 💪 😆

Ahh I see, now I understand why you go through them so quickly! LOL. I hate when there’s no end to certain products, for me it’s an eye primer right now, and I’ve been using it at least a year now LOL

Eyeprimers are highlighters are impossible to finish. But some products make you wonder whether they’re self-replenishing! 😜

hahah right?! I have squeezed so many products out thinking I’m just about done with them but nope! LOL. Luckily I keep some pots to put those products in to keep using them 🙂
