Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Salon Pro 312 Ultra Violet & Stamping With MoYou London Suki 14

Hi there! I hope you had a good weekend. 🙂

I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Salon Pro 312 Ultra Violet (2 coats).

This kind of nail colour (which I like to call milky purple) is my favourite nail colour!

The stamping plate I used it MoYou London‘s Suki 14 plate. I really like the image that I stamped on the pinkies and middle fingers!

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

Whilst this wasn’t the most spectacular mani, I did like the look of it!

Palmolive Aroma Moments Shower Gels – Just Fabulous & So Luminous

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 new Palmolive shower gels which I picked up at my local Wilko store – Palmolive Aroma Moments Just Fabulous and Palmolive Aroma Moments So Luminous. These 2 shower gels contain oils which promise to leave your skin feeling soft. I’ve now tried these shower gels, and here’s what I think.

Palmolive Aroma Moments Just Fabulous with iris extract and avocado oil is a revelation. It smells of velvety iris petals, and it feels amazing on my skin. If you want a shower gel that feels luxuriously and that goes with Prada’s Infusion d’Iris fragrance, this is what you’re looking for! Great stuff, Palmolive!

Palmolive Aroma Moments So Luminous with peony extract and macadamia oil feels wonderful on my skin too. The fragrance is more nutty than floral. I like it a lot, but of these two shower gels, I prefer the iris and avocado one.

Palmolive Aroma Moments Just Fabulous and Palmolive Aroma Moments So Luminous are available as 250ml each. Prices vary depending on where you shop. I paid 90p each (special offer).

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Sante Naturkosmetik Instantly Smoothing Night Cream

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing a skin care product – Sante Naturkosmetik Instantly Smoothing Night Cream. I swapped The Crème Shop’s Rose Oil Overnight Gel Mask for Sante’s night cream when I realised that this vegan and cruelty-free night cream has an expiry date. 😲 I still have a few months to finish this night cream before it “expires”, but I thought I should start using it right away so I won’t feel rushed 4-6 weeks from now.

OK, this night cream contains paracress as well as tea extracts, and it’s is aimed at people with demanding skin. It promises to revitalise skin and to smooth lines and wrinkles. I’ve been using it for a few weeks now, and here’s what I think.

The first thing I noticed about this night cream is its scent. Or smell. This night cream smells strongly of random oils. I’m more or less OK with the scent. However, my husband hates it – and this isn’t great.

I don’t think that this night cream has any skin-revitalising or wrinkle-smoothing properties. I believe the formula is to blame. I have very dry skin, and I find that this night cream is way too rich – greasy even. It feels like a heavy oil film that’s sitting on my skin. However, when I wake up in the morning, my skin feels strangely dry. I can feel a bit of an oily residue on my skin, but the skin underneath feels dehydrated. I’m not impressed.

I will try to finish this night cream, but I’ll use it in conjunction with a facial oil, otherwise it might do the opposite of what it promises to do.

Sante Naturkosmetik Instantly Smoothing Night Cream is available as 30ml. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

Aussie Mega Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing the hair care products I’m using at the moment – Aussie Mega Shampoo & Conditioner. These 2 products contain kangaroo paw flower extract, and they promise to leave hair soft, shiny and full of bounce.

To be honest, I didn’t expect much from the Mega products. Last year I tried Aussie’s Colour Mate hair care combo which turned my hair into a dry and dull mess. However, I decided to give the Mega products a chance. And here’s what I think…

Aussie Mega Shampoo is simply wonderful. It smells like paradise, and it feels amazing! It expands once it lathers up – this is awesome fun, and it also means that you only need to use a small amount of shampoo. If you’ve never tried this shampoo, you need to change that. I could kick myself for not trying it sooner!

Aussie Mega Conditioner is very nice too. It detangles my hair well – not perfectly, but definitely well enough. However, what’s really important is that this conditioner delivers on its promises! It makes my hair soft, shiny, big and bouncy. This is truly impressive!

I think Aussie did an amazing job with these 2 Mega products – which are in my all-time top 10! I love using them, and I’ll buy them again – soon! Aussie Mega Shampoo (300ml) & Conditioner (250ml) are available for £4.19 each. I paid £1.95 each (special offer).

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink & Stamping With Pueen 80

Hi there! Today’s post is not only the last post this week, but it’s also the last post this Nail Week.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink (2 coats). This is a pretty peachy-pink shade with microshimmer galore. It’s not my favourite nail colour, but it looks amazing in the sun!

I thought that a few simple rosey images would look nice with this base colour, so I chose Pueen‘s 80 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure collection).

The black polish I stamped with is the one and only Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Fearne Lola Lavender & Stamping With Pueen 73

Hi there! I have another Nail Of The Day post for you today. This mani is from last summer, but I hated the photos I took (it was too sunny), so I never bothered to crop and resize them – until now. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Fearne Lola Lavender (2 coats). This is a gorgeous colour. I love it!

I decided to double-stamp. I used my Pueen 73 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Stamping Buffet collection) and two colour polishes – Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto (black) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (gold).

In theory, this should have been an awesome mani, but it was just about OK.

Nail Of The Day – Models Own Sarong Wrap & Stamping With Pueen 83 (Nail Fail)

Hi there! Nail Week is still on, so here’s another mani I did some time ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark‘s PS… Snow White nail polish (1 coat). Once the white base had dried, it was time for Models Own Sarong Wrap (2 coats). Sarong Wrap is a low-quality polish. It’s terribly thin, and I don’t think I would have gotten much (or any) joy from it had I not started with a white base.

Anyhoo… I thought that light pink accents would look nice, so I used a small piece of a makeup sponge to apply pink polish to my nails. Well, it didn’t look great, but I didn’t have the time to correct the mistake, so I just left it as it was.

Then I stamped! I used Pueen‘s 83 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure collection) and Revlon Top Speed 880 Black Star.
