July Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s the last day of the month, so today’s post is about all the products I’ve enjoyed the most for the past 4 weeks. I chose my TOP 3 from all the products I reviewed this month, and there will be a few honourable mentions as well. Let’s start with the TOP 3!

3rd place – Herbal Essences Bio Renew Rosemary & Herbs Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner

Herbal Essences did an amazing job with these 2 hair products. I would recommend them!

Runner-Up – Primark PS… Exfoliate & Cleanse Watermelon Body Scrub

Primark’s Watermelon Body Scrub is simply amazing. It smells like watermelon ice cream! I’m happy this is a big 475ml tub!

WINNER – Superdrug Vitamin E All Over Body Cream With Moonstone Extract

Superdrug created another mind-blowing limited edition moisturiser for their Vitamin E collection. This is truly awesome stuff!

Onto the honourable mentions! Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Blemish Mud is a great face mask, Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Gold Gel Cleanser & Peel Off Mask is an effective cleanser and mask duo which I’ve already repurchased, and I was really happy with the Skin Treats Pineapple Toning Sheet Mask.

The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask is very enjoyable, and Primark did a fab job with their PS… Deep Cleansing Cucumber Peel-Off Mask and their PS… Cleansing & Polishing Scrub Mask.

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try any of them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading! 😊

Skin Treats Pineapple Toning Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Treats Pineapple Toning Sheet Mask. This face mask contains vitamins and minerals, and it promises to soothe and tone skin for a youthful and refreshed look with a healthy glow.

This is a regular sheet mask that’s supposed to be used after you’ve cleansed your face. Just leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the remaining essence into your skin.

Since Skin Treats’ Blueberry sheet mask left me underwhelmed, I didn’t expect much from this mask. However, I’m happy that I gave this mask a try because it’s actually very good! The sheet mask itself is of much better quality (comparable to The Crème Shop’s sheet masks) which was a nice surprise.

I also think the essence is really good. It felt refreshing and toning, and the subtle pineapple fragrance was very enjoyable too. I have already repurchased this mask, and if you come across it, I’d recommend you give it a try too!

Skin Treats Pineapple Toning Sheet Mask is available as a single use face mask for £1. I bought mine at B&M Bargains.

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Wild Orchid & Double Stamping With Pueen 106

Hi there! Today’s short post is about a cute mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Wild Orchid (2 coats). This kind of milky purple is my favourite nail colour. 🥰

For the images I used Pueen‘s beautiful 106 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Make Your Day stamping plate collection.

I decided to double-stamp. I used Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto (black) and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 819 Coat Of Arms (gold) for the images.

I liked this mani a lot – but I used some of my favourite products, so I knew I’d be happy with the result. 😊

100 Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Lemon & Honey Peel-Off

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug‘s Lemon & Honey Peel-Off Mask.

This face mask is aimed at all skin types. It promises to lift away dirt, impurities and dead skin cells for softer skin.

When I gave this mask a try, I wasn’t impressed. Within seconds of applying this mask, it felt hot, almost burning, on my skin. I’ve never experienced this with any other peel-off mask. Fortunately, the burning sensation went away quickly.

Yes, the mask made my skin feel softer, and the honey & lemon lozenge scent is amazing. However, I wouldn’t buy this mask again because it gave me a major scare.

If you’d like to try it, Superdrug‘s Lemon & Honey Peel-Off Mask is available as 10ml. It’s 99p but these masks are on a 3 for 2 promo most of the time. This product is 100% cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny certified) and suitable for vegetarians.

Primark PS… Deep Cleansing Cucumber Peel-Off Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Primark’s PS… Deep Cleansing Cucumber Peel Off Mask which contains cucumber, jasmine and ginseng root extracts.

This mask promises to free pores from dirt and to lift off dead skin cells. All you have to do: Apply the mask to your face, let it dry for about 15 minutes, then peel it off. After that, simply wash your face, and you’re good to go. ☺️

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s very good! I like the fresh cucumber scent, and I’m happy with its first rate cleansing powers. This a very effective peel off mask! Montagne Jeunesse should take note because this is what their cucumber peel off mask should be like!

PS… Deep Cleansing Cucumber Peel Off Mask is available as 10ml (single use) for 80p (Primark).

Primark PS… Cleansing & Polishing Scrub Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Primark’s PS… Cleansing & Polishing Scrub Mask with charcoal and black sugar. This mask promises effective exfoliation as well as a deep cleanse. How does it work? Apply the mask to your face, leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then rinse with water.

I’ve given this mask a try, and whilst it’s not an actual mask, I liked the exfoliating effect. This product is essentially a sugar scrub for the face. It feels effective but not too harsh, and it doesn’t have that disgusting oily residue that sugar scrubs for the body come with. Yay! If they bottled this stuff and called it “sugar face scrub”, I’d buy it and consider it a beauty staple!

Primark’s PS… Cleansing & Polishing Scrub Mask is available as 15ml single use sachet for 80p (Primark).

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Dead Sea Sheet Masque

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Dead Sea Sheet Masque.

This face mask contains chopped seaweed, crushed Dead Sea salt and pressed red algae.

On the front of the sachet it says the mask is cleansing and calming. On the back it says the mask revives stressed out skin and leaves it smooth and rehydrated.

These statements couldn’t be more conflicting, so what’s actually true?

When I placed the mask on my face, I felt a tingling sensation. Not unpleasant or scary, but it felt very refreshing, almost cold. I also found the mask very cleansing. It made my face feel and look clean and clear.

The face mask didn’t feel hydrating or calming, but I’m not unhappy about it. The mask did what I hoped it would do, so I have no reason to complain. 😊

Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Dead Sea Sheet Masque is certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo). The mask is available as a single use sheet mask for about £1. I picked up a few mask at my local Home Bargains store when they ran a 3 for 2 promotion on Montagne Jeunesse face masks.

The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing this The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask with pumpkin and cinnamon. According to The Crème Shop, pumpkin enzymes help boost skin cell renewal to reveal a rejuvenated and brighter complexion, and cinnamon absorbs excess sebum.

This is a sheet mask which is supposed to be left on for 15-20 minutes. I always leave sheet masks on until they’re dry to make the most of the product. 😎

I’ve now used 3 of these masks already, and I think they’re fantastic. I would agree that these masks make my skin look brighter, clearer and more refreshed. At the same time I’ve also noticed a calming and smoothing (!) effect. I’m enjoying these masks very much, and I would recommend them.

If you’re looking for a product that has a calming effect on moody skin, or if you want a product that gives you a brighter and fresher complexion, these sheet masks are for you! The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask is available as a pack of 5 masks. I paid £4.99 (TK Maxx).

Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Gold Gel Cleanser & Peel Off Mask

Hi there! Not too long ago I picked up this Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Gold Gel Cleanser & Peel-Off Mask (£1, B&M Bargains). This is a 2-step “treatment” that promises to cleanse skin deeply.

The gel cleanser works like any other normal face wash. Splash a bit of water in your face, massage the cleanser into your skin so that it lathers up, then rinse with water.

The mask is easy to use too. Apply it your cleansed face, leave it on for 15 minutes, then simply peel it off. Now read on if you’d like to know if this cleanser and mask duo is any good. 😎

The gel cleanser is really nice. It smells fresh (citrus + something I can’t put my finger on), it lathers up well, and it cleanses my skin gently and effectively. If I find this cleanser in a bottle, I’ll buy it!

The peel off mask is one of the best peel off masks I’ve ever tried. It pulls the gunk right out of your pores. If you want to try this mask, please make sure you don’t get it in your eyebrows and / or hair to avoid unwanted hair removal. This is powerful stuff!

I’d recommend this Beauty Formulas Deep Cleansing Gold Gel Cleanser & Peel-Off Mask to anyone who wants an effective peel off mask. Priced at £1, this mask is a total steal!

Maxbrands Alpaca Face Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about a face mask that I found at my local Home Bargains store – Maxbrands Alpaca Face Sheet Mask. This face mask contains cucumber extract, and it promises to help improve skin’s elasticity and to boost the skin.

This is a normal sheet mask – you place it onto your cleansed face, leave it on for 15 minutes, then bin the mask, and massage the leftover essence from the sachet into your face. Job done! Read on if you’d like to know if this mask is any good. 🙂

Whilst I’m still not sure what boosting the skin is supposed to mean, I’m satisfied that this mask feels deeply hydrating without being sticky. This mask also seems to plump up my skin – I guess this is what boosting the skin might refer to…

Having said this, I think this mask could smell nicer. Parfum is listed as the last ingredient on the list, so there can’t be much fragrance in it. However, some people prefer products with little or no added fragrance, so if this is what you like, this mask might be worth a try.

Maxbrands Alpaca Face Sheet Mask is available as 25ml. I paid 79p (Home Bargains).

Have you tried this mask or would you like to try it? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂
