September Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month, so today’s post is about the products I loved the most in September. I picked my TOP 3, and there are quite a few honourable mentions. But let’s start with the TOP 3. 🙂

3rd place – Anna Sui Romantica Exotica

I bought Anna Sui Romantica Exotica for its insanely cute packaging, but I ended up loving the fragrance!

Runner-Up – Primark PS… Smoothing Dead Sea Mask

Primark did an amazing job with this face mask. It’s one of the best face masks I’ve tried all year.

WINNER – Makeup Revolution London Lip Hug Love Can Set You Free

This lipstick is one of the best lipsticks I’ve ever had. The colour, the formula, the flavour… it’s an all-time favourite. 11 stars!

Onto the honourable mentions! The Body Shop’s Polynesian Island Tiaré is my favourite TBS product ever. I’m enjoying Nourish’s Cooling Toning Mist. Essence’s Coral Delight lipgloss is simply wonderful, and W7’s Bare It All eye palette is my current go-to palette.

I’m also enjoying Kallos’ Multivitamin Hair Mask, and I’m very fond of The Crème Shop’s koala mask and their Maca Root mask.

Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by!

Boots Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Boots’ Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask. It promises to lift dirt out of skin pores, to help remove blackheads, to help tighten pores and to prevent future breakouts.

The instructions state that you should apply the mask to cleansed skin, leave it to dry for 15-20 minutes, peel it off and then wash your face to make sure you remove any mask residue.

I’ve given this mask (2 of these masks actually) a try, and I think this is one of the most pointless face masks I’ve ever used. It removes nothing at all – not even itself. I think you’d be better off trying to remove blackheads and dead skin cells with sticky tape (although I wouldn’t recommend that).

I won’t be repurchasing this mask. But if you’re interested, Boots’ Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Peel Off Face Mask used to be available as single-use sachets. However, Boots now offers this mask as a 50ml tube for £3.50.

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink & Stamping With Biutee 02

Hi there! I have a short and sweet Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink (2 coats). This is a pale rosey shade with micro-shimmer. I’m not a fan of the colour, but it’s a great base colour for stamping!

For the images I used my Biutee 02 stamping plate. I like the Biutee plates a lot. Most of the images are stunningly beautiful. ♥

The black polish I stamped with is, of couse, the one and only Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I liked this mani because it looked nice and summery!

Anna Sui Romantica Exotica Eau De Toilette

Hi there! Today’s post is about one of the fragrances I’m using at the moment – Anna Sui Romantica Exotica Eau De Toilette.

This fragrance contains the following notes: fresh citrus and blackcurrant (top notes), jasmine sambac, salty notes, lotus flower and orange blossom (heart notes), and tropical gardenia, cottonwood and hinokiwood (base notes).

I think Romantica Exotica is a cute fragrance. It smells of citrus and floral notes (orange flower and gardenia are noticeable) with a hint of sandalwood and banana. Yes, I know there’s no sandalwood or banana in this fragrance, but… go have a sniff yourself!

My husband actually says that this fragrance smells like Light Blue with banana – and I somewhat agree. But I do think that Romantica Exotica is warmer and sunnier than Light Blue. If Light Blue smells light blue, Romantica Exotica smells like a sunny yellow version of it. ☀️

All in all, I like this fragrance a lot. I bought it because of the cute packaging, and I didn’t really know what to expect. So you can imagine how happy I was when the fragrance turned out to be such a little gem! And now I’m even considering buying the big 75ml bottle!

Anna Sui Romantica Exotica Eau De Toilette is available as 30ml, 50ml and 75ml Eau de Toilette. I paid £10.99 for the 30ml bottle.

XBC Black Tissue Charcoal Detox Facial Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this XBC Black Tissue Charcoal Detox Facial Mask with hyaluronic acid and, you guessed it, charcoal. This face mask promises to fight blemishes and to purify and revitalise the skin.

The instructions on the back of the sachet state that you should cleanse your skin, then place the mask on your face, leave it on for 20 minutes, rinse, pat dry – and you’re good to go.

I’ve used this mask, and whilst I didn’t love it, I did like it. I found this mask to be cooling, refreshing and cleansing. It made my face look clean and clear. I don’t think it had a moisturising effect, but I didn’t expect this anyway because this mask is supposed to be rinsed off after use.

XBC Black Tissue Charcoal Detox Facial Mask is available as a 28ml single use sheet mask. I paid 99p (B&M Bargains).

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Salon Pro 500 Peppermint & Stamping With Nicole Diary ND 076

Hi there! Today’s short post is about a cute mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Salon Pro 500 Peppermint (2 coats). This polish has grown on me over the years. I used to think it’s a filler polish. But now I love it!

For the images I used my new Nicole Diary ND 076 stamping plate. The 2 polishes I stamped with are Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto (black) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (gold).

I really loved this mani, and I will redo it shortly – maybe with a light blue, lavender or lilac base.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Food Dead Sea Mineral Cleansing Masque AND Avocado Oil & Walnut Exfoliating Masque

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing a face mask duo – it’s Montagne Jeunesse Face Food Dead Sea Mineral Cleansing Masque AND Avocado Oil & Walnut Exfoliating Masque. I bought this face mask duo at my local Savers drugstore – and I paid 69p!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Food Dead Sea Mineral Cleansing Masque with seaweed, sea salts and aloe vera is a nice face mask. I didn’t care for the seaweed scent, but I was happy with this mask’s skin cleansing powers. Thumbs up!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Food Avocado Oil & Walnut Exfoliating Masque was surprisingly nice too. I don’t usually use face scrubs with crushed walnut shells or apricot pits because they’re generally too harsh for the face. However, this scrub mask wasn’t harsh at all. It was effective, I did enjoy it, and I would recommend it.

Montagne Jeunesse Face Food Dead Sea Mineral Cleansing Masque AND Avocado Oil & Walnut Exfoliating Masque is available as a face mask duo. I’ve also seen (and purchased) other varieties, so if you’re interested in trying out new face masks, you should swing by your local Savers drugstore.

Kallos Cosmetics Multivitamin Energising Hair Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Kallos Cosmetics Multivitamin Energising Hair Mask with ginseng and avocado oil. This hair mask promises new energy and nourishment for dull hair. Using the hair mask is easy – simply use this hair mask like a regular conditioner, but leave it on for 5 minutes before you rinse it out of your hair.

I’ve been using this hair mask once to twice weekly since the beginning of July, and I think it’s great! It makes my hair feel soft without weighing it down, and it makes my hair look great. I’m glad I bought this hair mask because I’m enjoying it very much!

Kallos Cosmetics Multivitamin Energising Hair Mask is available as a huge 1kg tub. I paid £7.99 (TK Maxx).
