July Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s post is about my favourite products in July. There’s no big intro today, so onto the goodies!

3rd place – Primark PS… Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask

Primark did a fantastic job with this deeply hydrating sheet mask. 😍

Runner-Up – Yves Rocher Collection Été

Yves Rocher’s Collection Été fragrance was a very welcome surprise! 🥰

WINNER – Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil

Boots knocked it out of the park with this amazing facial oil. The product page on Boots’ website says “turn back the time” – and based on my experience, I think this product has true anti-ageing powers. I’m a fan!

Onto the honourable mentions! L’Oréal’s Fine Flowers face wash is really great, and I Love…’s Raspberry & Blackberry shower gel is fabulous.

I’ve also enjoyed Spa Premium’s Epsom Salts and Palmolive’s summery limited edition shower gels are firm summer favourites.

Which products have you (re)discovered lately? Feel free to comment, and thanks for reading! 😘

Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil which I’ve been using since June.

This facial oil with jojoba oil and retinyl palmitate is one of the core pieces of the No. 7 skin care collection.

It promises to give dry skin the boot and to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. The product page on Boots’ website says “turn back the clock” and “say bye-bye to dry and dehydrated skin…” Well, OK then!

When I started to use this facial oil, I didn’t believe that it would live up to its promises. I didn’t like it for the first few days, and I didn’t think it was rich enough. However, I kept using it, and after about 10 days, I found that it that killed off the 2 eczema patches which I’ve had for a few months now.

I’ve tried other products, and some did help with the eczema. But this facial oil has really gone the extra mile for my skin. I’m glad I continued to use it even though I was sceptical at first.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this facial oil. It’s a non-greasy formula, so you might be thinking it’s not rich enough for dry skin. But it actually is rich and deeply hyrating. I will buy it again, no doubt!

Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil is available as 30ml for £23. Smaller 15ml bottles are usually available as part of seasonal gift sets.

Nail Of The Day – Feat. Rimmel, Revlon & Pict You (Nail Fail)

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did recently. It’s also a Nail Fail!

For this mani I painted my nails with the white Revlon polish that’s part of Revlon’s double-ended neon polishes. The white polish is chalky and streaky. You can see it in the photo even though I used plenty of top coat.

I double-stamped – and the results weren’t great either. The polishes I used are Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap Victoria and Revlon Nail Art Expressionist 330 Silhouette. The stamping plate is Pict You PY-J034.

Ah well… better manis will follow soon!

Palmolive Italian Gardens, Palmolive Santorini Breeze

Hi there! Today’s post is about these 2 limited edition shower gels I picked up at Poundland – Palmolive Italian Gardens and Palmolive Santorini Breeze.

Palmolive Italian Gardens is a lovely and sunny lemon shower gel. It’s not a pure, tangy lemon, but more of a lemon and lemon flower scent. It’s very nice!

Palmolive Santorini Breeze is simply fantastic. It smells like green figs, fig leaves and honey. Wow! I also like the non-drying formula which is gentle on dry and moody skin.

Palmolive Italian Gardens and Palmolive Santorini Breeze are available as 500ml each for £1.50 each (Poundland).

100% Cruelty-Free – Primark PS… Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this bio-degradable Primark PS… Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask which promises to boost skin hydration.

You’re supposed to use the mask after you’ve cleansed your face. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes before you massage the leftover essence from the sachet into your skin.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s very good! The mask felt deeply hydrating, and I’m happy to report that it didn’t leave a sticky film on my skin. I found this mask very enjoyable, and I’ll buy it again next time I swing by Primark.

Primark PS… Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask is available as a 23g single-use face mask for £1.50. This mask also carries the Leaping Bunny logo; this means that it’s certified cruelty-free. 😍

Spa Premium Epsom Salts

Hi there! Today’s post is about these Spa Premium Epsom Salts which I’ve tried just last week. I’ve previously tried different bath salts from this brand, and I was happy with those. So when I overdid it with the exercise last week, it was the perfect opportunity to try these bath salts.

The instructions state that 250g of bath salts are sufficient for 1 bath. The pack contains 495g = enough for 2 baths. The recommended soak time is 15-20 minutes.

I took a 45-minute bath with these bath salts, and I think they’re very good. On the pack it says that these bath salts are great for post-workout recovery – and I agree!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these bath salts. If you’re interested, Spa Premium Epsom Salts are available as 495g for £1 (Poundstretcher). I will buy them again, no doubt!

Nail Of The Day – Miss Sporty Lasting Colour 470 & Color Club Holiday Splendor

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Miss Sporty Lasting Colour 470 (2 coats). I’m impressed with this cheap polish – the dark green shade is beautiful, the formula is amazing, and I’ve also noticed that the polish dried fairly quickly. 😍

The glitter top coat I used is Color Club Holiday Splendor – it’s holographic silver glitter in a green jelly base. It’s also a Christmas glitter top coat. 🎄

What colour nail polish are you wearing at the moment? Feel free to let me know via the comments. And thanks for reading!

100% Cruelty-Free – Primark PS… Priming Sheet Mask With Salicylic Acid

Hi there! Today’s post is about this bio-degradable Primark PS… Priming Sheet Mask With Salicylic Acid, charcoal powder, tea tree oil, jojoba oil, shea butter, hyaluronic acid, etc.

You’re supposed to use this mask after you’ve cleansed your skin. The instructions state that you should leave it on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the remaining essence into your skin.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s good but not great. I’m pleased to report that the mask felt cleansing and that it made my pores appear smaller. However, the essence left a slightly sticky film on my skin, and I didn’t care for the strong tea tree oil scent.

If you’re interested, Primark PS… Priming Sheet Mask With Salicylic Acid is available as a single use 23g sheet mask for £1.50 at Primark. Like all Primark beauty products, this sheet mask is certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo! 😍
