February Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the end of the month, so it’s time for my Monthly Favourites post. As usual, I picked my favourites from all the products I reviewed this past month, and there’s a Top 3 as well as a few honourable mentions.

3rd place – Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Shampoo & Conditioner

Alberto Balsam did a great job with these amazing mango-scented hair products.

Runner-Up – Jayjun Pollution-Proof Refreshing Mask

Jayjun’s green sheet mask was a lovely surprise! I can’t wait to stock up!

WINNER – Agent Provocateur Fatale Eau De Parfum

Fatale is simply a great fragrance. I already bought a big 100ml bottle as a backup!

Onto the honourable mentions! Radox Mineral Therapy Muscle Soak Bath Salts, Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Original Moisturising Shower Cream and Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream are super lovely.

Boots No 7 Radiant Results Revitalising Daily Face Polish, Creightons Manuka Honey Hydrating Hand Cream and Masking Beautifying Rose & Green Tea Sheet Face Mask are awesome too!

Have you tried any of these products, or would you like to try any of them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to comment and thanks for stopping by! 😘

Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream, Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels which I started to use about 2 weeks ago – Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream and Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream. Onto the reviews!

Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream is quite likely the most delicious and authentic smelling chocolate shower product I’ve ever used. It’s outstanding! I love the formula too – non-drying, maybe even slightly hydrating. I love this shower gel!

Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream is nice and pleasant, but it’s not the most special shower gel. The formula is amazing (same as the chocolate shower gel), but the vanilla fragrance isn’t spectacular. My husband likes this one, and I’m happy for him to finish it.

If you’re interested, Palmolive Gourmet Chocolate Passion Body Butter Shower Cream and Palmolive Gourmet Vanilla Pleasure Body Butter Shower Cream are available as 250ml each. I paid £1 each (special offer at Asda, I believe).

Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 hair care products which I’m using at the moment – Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Shampoo & Conditioner. These products have been reformulated, and they’re aimed at all hair types.

Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Shampoo is very nice. It’s a clarifying shampoo that doesn’t feel drying. The beautiful mango fragrance is an added bonus!

Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Conditioner is great too. The conditioner is on the thinner side, but it detangles my hair quickly and makes it feel super soft. Amazing!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these products. Alberto Balsam Exotic Mango Shampoo & Conditioner are available as 350ml for £1 each.

Boots No 7 Radiant Results Revitalising Daily Face Polish

Hi there! Happy Tuesday! Today’s post is about this Boots No 7 Radiant Results Revitalising Daily Face Polish.

This product with red ginseng and vitamins C, E and B5 promises radiant, smoother, brighter, more even and healthier looking skin after just 1 week of use. As the name of the product suggests, you can use it daily, and it’s suitable for sensitive skin too.

I’ve been using this product 3-4 times per week since the end of January, and I think it’s very good.

I’m using a number of very effective products already, so I’m not seeing or feeling any drastic changes, but I agree that this face polish makes my skin feel smoother. I also like the formula – it’s a cream wash and a gentle face scrub in 1 product.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this product. But if you have very sensitive skin, you might want to use it 3-4 times a week (and not on consecutive days) only.

Boots No 7 Radiant Results Revitalising Daily Face Polish is available as 100ml for £7. I have 3 small 15ml tubes from gift sets. 😊

Nail Of The Day – Barry M Molten Metal Holographic Sunburst & Stamping With Maniology BM-XL216

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Barry M Molten Metal Holographic Sunburst (2 coats).

This is a beautiful polish, and I love absolutely everything about it – the colour, the holographic shimmer, the quick drying time…

For the images I used my Maniology (formerly Bundle Monster) BM-XL216 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is the one and only Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I liked this mani a lot, and I’ve got another idea for a similar one.

Skin Treats Banana Clay Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Skin Treats Banana Clay Face Mask. This face mask promises to purify and to refresh skin. Cleanse your face, apply the mask, leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse it off with water – done! This face mask also claims to be vegan & cruelty-free – this is great!

I’ve given this mask a try, and I wasn’t impressed. I didn’t see or feel any positive effect, and I also found the formula quite strange – removing the mask was a mess! I liked the insanely bright yellow colour of the mask – but that was pretty much it. I didn’t care for its other qualities.

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend this face mask. If you’re interested, Skin Treats Banana Clay Face Mask is available as a 20g single use face mask (although the content of one pack is more than sufficient for 2 uses) for £1 at B&M Bargains.

Masking Beautifying Rose & Green Tea Sheet Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Masking Beautifying Rose & Green Tea Sheet Face Mask which I found at my local Tesco store. I’ve never seen this brand before, but these masks were cheap and they claimed to be vegan & cruelty-free, so I picked up 2 of them (different ones).

This mask with rose and green tea extracts promises to hydrate skin for a healthy glow. You’re supposed to use the mask after you’ve cleansed your face. Just leave the mask on for about 15 minutes, and then massage the excess serum into your skin.

I didn’t expect much from this mask, but it’s actually very good! The essence felt deeply hydrating without leaving a sticky film on my skin. I enjoyed the subtle rosey scent, and when I looked at the ingredients, I was positively surprised to find lots of botanical extracts as well as pro-vitamin B5 and sodium hyaluronate.

This is a very nice mask, and based on my experience, I would recommend it! Masking Beautifying Rose & Green Tea Sheet Face Mask is available as a 20ml single-use sheet mask for £1 (Tesco).

NSPA Brightening & Radiance Peeling Mask With Papaya & Hops

Hi there! Today’s post is about this NSPA Brightening & Radiance Peeling Mask With Papaya & Hops which is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. This mask promises to exfoliate and brighten dull and lacklustre skin.

You’re supposed to apply the mask after you’ve cleansed your face. Leave it on until it’s dry (about 15 minutes), then peel it off and wash off any mask residue.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I don’t think it did much. I enjoyed the fruity scent, but the mask itself came off too easily. I don’t think it took any dead skin cells with it. After the amazing Primark and Montagne Jeunesse peel-off masks I’ve tried recently, this one was a disappointment!

NSPA Brightening & Radiance Peeling Mask With Papaya & Hops is available as a 15ml single-use face mask for £1.50. I paid £1 (special offer).

Jayjun Pollution-Proof Refreshing Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Jayjun Pollution-Proof Refreshing Mask. This mask promises to moisturise skin and to repel dust (?). I’m not sure what they meant to say. 🤷 Anyhoo, this face mask is loaded with botanical extracts, and you’re supposed to use it after you’ve cleansed your face. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes, then follow with your normal skin care.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s very good! The mask itself is light green, and the essence is clear. I found this mask to be deeply hydrating and very refreshing. I liked that the mask didn’t feel sticky, and I loved that it plumped up my skin. Based on my experience, I’d recommend this face mask! If my local TK Maxx has any of these left when the store reopens, I’ll stock up!

Jayjun Pollution-Proof Refreshing Mask is available as a pack of 5 x 27ml face masks. I paid £3.99 (TK Maxx).
