July Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s post is about my favourite products in July. I haven’t reviewed many products, so there are no honourable mentions this month. Just the TOP 3:

3rd place – Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak
Runner-Up – Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life

The Sanctuary Spa’s Foaming Bath Soak is simply lovely.
And Soap & Glory’s Scrub Of Your Life blew me away.

WINNER – Poundland #6 Anti-Ageing Retinol Day Cream With SPF 25

Poundland’s cheap own brand retinol day cream is simply wow! I’m glad I picked it up!

Have you tried any of these products, or would you like to try any of them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to let me know via the comments, and thanks for stopping by! x

Soap & Glory Clean On Me, Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life

Hi there! Today’s post is about Soap & Glory Clean On Me and Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life. These products were part of a big Soap & Glory gift set which I picked up for half price (Boxing Day sale).

Soap & Glory Clean On Me is an OK shower gel. The creamy formula is nice, and if you like the girly Soap & Glory fragrance, this product is probably right up your alley. However, the pump is very annoying. I didn’t count, but I think it took about 20 pumps for half a handful of shower gel.

Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life is a really good body scrub. I like how effective it is! What a nice surprise! I’m not the biggest fan of the pink scent, but this is a great product in every other way. My favourite Soap & Glory product so far!

If you’re interested, Soap & Glory Clean On Me is available as 500ml for £6.50. Soap & Glory The Scrub Of Your Life is available as 200ml for £7.

Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau De Parfum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau De Parfum which I’ve been wearing for the past 2 weeks now. This fragrance has the following notes: tangerine, yuzu and whipped cream (top notes), datura, white camellia and pink lotus (heart notes), and bamboo, musk and black saffron (base notes).

I found this fragrance to be a huge disappointment. Fatale Pink is remarkably faint, and it doesn’t last for more than 30 minutes on me. I’m almost halfway through a 100ml bottle after 2 weeks – ridiculous. What little I can smell is nice enough – citrus and a whiff of pink flowers. However, I wouldn’t recommend this fragrance for obvious reasons.

Agent Provocateur Fatale Pink Eau De Parfum is available as 30ml, 50ml and 100ml. I paid £19.07 for the 100ml.

Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak, Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Wet Skin Moisture Miracle

Hi there! Today’s post is about Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak and Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Wet Skin Moisture Miracle. These are travel sizes which were part of a gift set I bought for myself.

Alrighty, let’s start with Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak. The 75ml bottle is sufficient for 1 bath. I took a cool bath the other day, and I enjoyed it very much. I loved the foam and the bubbles, the gorgeous Sanctuary Spa fragrance, and I’m happy that the product didn’t dry out my skin. I would definitely buy the full size (on a 3 for 2 special, of course).

Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Wet Skin Moisture Miracle is meant to be used as an in-shower moisturiser. Take your shower as usual, then turn off the water, then apply the product all over your body while the skin is still wet. Then towel your skin dry as usual.

I think this product is really good. I’ve used it about 9 or 10 times now, and I’d say there’s enough product left in the 50ml tube for another 5 uses. It’s not as nourishing as an actual body lotion or body butter, but if you don’t have much time, this stuff is really helpful. Also, the lovely Sanctuary Spa fragrance is an added bonus.

Sanctuary Spa Foaming Bath Soak is available as 500ml for £12. Sanctuary Spa Ultra Rich Wet Skin Moisture Miracle is available as 200ml for £10. Boots often runs promotions on the Sanctuary Spa line. It’s 25% on most Sanctuary Spa products right now. Also, on the back of the bottles, it says that the Sanctuary Spa products are now vegan-friendly.

Declutter & Swatches Part 2 – Maybelline, B., Astor, Manhattan, Rimmel, & Technic

Hi there! Welcome to part 2 of the inofficial major declutter and swatchfest of 2021. I’m going through my stash – I’ll bin everything that I don’t want anymore or that has gone off. Let’s see how these products fared!

1 Superdrug B. Brilliant Rich Colour Lipgloss 185 Bambi

I regret not having used this lipgloss when it was new. The colour is nice! But it’s old now, and it has to go!

2 Superdrug B. Lipstick 186 Rose Quartz

Same as above! I should have given this lipstick a try when it was new. Now it has to go.

3 Superdrug B. Lipstick 083 Tagine

Wow, what an unflattering lipstick shade! Binned.

4 Manhattan X-Treme Last & Shine Lipstick 56T

Not a terrible lip colour, but not really my colour. Also – it has micro shimmer which I find ugly on me. Binned.

5 Manhattan Soft Mat Lip Cream 95M

I’m not the biggest fan of matte lip products but this shade looks nice. I’ll give it some wear over the next few weeks.

6 Astor Rouge Couture 104 Satin Fuchsia

Wow, what a colour! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good on me. I’m a pale girl, and this lipstick gives me neon lips. Unfortunately, this one has to go.

7 Astor Colour Last VIP 345 Provocative

Not a bad colour, but it doesn’t really look good on me. So it has to go too.

8 Technic Juicy Sticks Plum

Technic is a super cheap brand with so-so products. This moisturising lip colour is not terrible, but the shade is awful on me. Another product I’m saying goodbye to.

9 Rimmel Vinyl Gloss Mirror Shine Lipgloss 115 Snog

“Mirror Shine” – not true! I didn’t care for this one. Binned.

10 Maybelline Colorsensational Lipgloss 550 Watermelon Punch

This looks amazing – but it has to go because it’s old.

I’ll do a post about eye products shortly. Maybe next week? Let’s see how far I get with those! Thanks for stopping by today! x

Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Shampoo & Conditioner For Chemically Damaged Hair

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Shampoo & Conditioner which I started to use just under 2 weeks ago. These products contain agave, hibiscus oil and pineapple extract, and they promise to smooth, revive and quench chemically damaged hair.

Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Shampoo lathers up quite well for an SLS-free shampoo. However, it doesn’t make my hair feel as squeaky clean as other shampoos do. I wash my hair every day, so I’m satisfied that my hair is squeaky clean, but I do prefer the clean feel that shampoos with SLS give me.

Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Conditioner isn’t my favourite because it makes it difficult for me to detangle my hair in the shower. I never brush my hair. I only “comb” through my hair once a day – using only my fingers and a dollop of conditioner in the shower. But this conditioner isn’t a great help when it comes to detangling my hair.

Unfortunately, these products haven’t blown me away. They’re not bad, and I think they would work well if you have dry hair and/or if you don’t rely on your conditioner to detangle your hair. But I don’t think that I’d buy them again. They’re not the best products for my hair type (not their fault), and I’m also not the biggest fan of their coconut scent. I would, however, give other products from this range a try as I like what the brand does!

If you’re interested, Maui Moisture Strength & Anti-Breakage Agave Shampoo & Conditioner are available as 385ml each for £9 each. I paid £2.49 (B&M Bargains)! According to Maui Moisture, all their products are vegan-friendly! 😍

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask. This face mask contains sugar, orange peel, goji berry and kakadu plum, and it promises to exfoliate, to purify and to brighten the skin.

How does it work? Superdrug recommends you apply a thin layer to your face. Leave the mask on for 5-10 minutes, then splash some water onto your skin and massage the product all over your face in circular motions.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s fun to use! It’s really sticky – like jam indeed. It has a bit of a warming effect which I found unusual but not bad at all. The sugar can be seen and felt – it acts as an exfoliant – not when you apply the mask, but once you massage the product all over your face before you wash it off.

I’m not sure if the mask has an actual brightening effect, but based on my experience, I would recommend it. If you’re interested, Superdrug Vitamin C Detox Skincare Revitalising Jam Face Mask is available as 75ml for £4.99. I bought it alongside another product from the same product range when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotion. Also, this product is vegan and certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny! 😍
