Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème with organic rosehip oil, aloe vera, jojoba oil and shea butter. It is made in New Zealand, and it says that it’s vegan and cruelty-free – which is awesome! This night cream claims to moisturse and nourish the skin, to promote skin elasticity and a healthy complextion.

I started to use this night cream a few weeks ago, and I liked it right away. The rich formula is certainly deeply hydrating and nourishing – without clogging up my pores. It can be hit and miss with richer night creams but this one of the good ones. I’ve also used it as a day cream under make-up the other day – no issues here either. This night cream sat nicely under the foundation, and it played well with all the other products I used that day.

I can’t comment on whether it will do anything special to my complexion. I’ve only been using this night cream for a few weeks. Also, it’s not like I’ve never used any skin care before – I’m hardly starting with the worst possible skin!

In any event, based on my experience, I’d recommend this night cream – just make sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients and maybe do a patch test. If you’re interested, Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème is available as 50g. I’ve seen it for £15-£20 on different websites. I paid a ridiculous £6 (TK Maxx clearance).

Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Body Lotion & Eau De Parfum

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Body Lotion & Eau De Parfum gift set. I dug it up from my stash the other day, and I was delighted to find it. I used to love Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited – I went through several bottles 10+ years ago. Memories of a much different time in my life…
diesel-fuel-for-life-1
Alrighty, let’s look at the products. Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Eau De Parfum has the following notes: lemon, mandarin, guava and peach (top notes), licorice, jasmine, tuberose, aloe vera and lily (heart notes), and sandalowood, cedar and musk (base notes).

This fragrance is simply divine! It starts off with fresh and sunny citruses. After a few minutes the citruses have disappeared, and the fragrance smells spicy and warm – with a lot of licorice and a touch of musk, kissed by sandalwood. Gorgeous!

The body lotion is lovely too! It smells just as good as the fragrance, and it’s a beautifully scented base for the EdP. I find the body lotion to be hydrating and easy to use – it’s not too runny, and it sinks right into the skin. This is a quality body lotion! I’m enjoying it very much!

I still love these products all these years later. It’s a shame that this fragrance has been discontinued. I believe it was only ever meant as a limited edition – although I never understood why you’d have “unlimited” in the name of a limited edition fragrance.

Anyhoo… Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Body Lotion is available as 200ml and Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Eau De Parfum is available as 50ml. These items now sell for stupid money online – I would never pay that much. So I’ll just enjoy these products for as long as they last (and I’ll give myself a pat on the back for hoarding fragrances and fragrance gift sets).

Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner. These hair products are aimed at people with damaged hair, and they promise hydration.

I think Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Shampoo is really nice. It feels cleansing but not stripping. Hydrating? Could be. It feels good! The fragrance is “pink” and girly (similar to other keratin-themed hair products).

I also really like Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Conditioner too. This is a really good product that detangles my hair with ease. It has the same “pink” and girly fragrance – which is pleasant. This conditioner is a very good product!

If I hadn’t bought these products myself, I would never have thought that they were cheapos. They’re just so good! Based on my experience, I would recommend these products! I will definitely buy them again. Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner are available as 200ml each for £1 each. A total steal!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Sukin Certified Organic Rosehip Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Sukin Certified Organic Rosehip Oil for dry and distressed skin types.

According to Sukin, this facial oil contains “no less than 70% essential fatty acids”. In addition, vitamins have been added – to soften, hydrate and soothe the skin.

The facial oil claims to help reduce the appearance of scars, to fight the signs of ageing, to reduce redness and dry skin, and to maintain skin health.

How do you use it? You’re supposed to massage 2-3 drops of oil into cleansed skin. Nothing complicated.

I’ve been using this facial oil for almost a month now, and I think it’s average at best.

This facial oil is quite thick, so I always use it in conjunction with 2-3 sprays of face mist, otherwise it’s rather difficult to spread it all across my face and neck.

Despite the thick formula, it’s not as rich as other facial oils that I’ve used in the past.

And yes, I’ve also “watered down” those other facial oils by spraying face mist onto my skin. So I’m using a lot more of the facial oil that what’s recommended on the back of the bottle.

I have an eczema patch and another small area on my face which is healing from a giant spot. No matter how much facial oil I apply at night, I still wake up to scaly skin around those areas. And no matter how much facial oil I apply in the morning, those areas are starting to dry up quickly, so I have to keep applying more oil.

I haven’t seen any other benefits yet. I know I’m just a month into using this facial oil, but it’s not helping with skin healing, and I also dislike its strong smell. It smells like… something you’d mix into salad dessing. I’ve previously had a few products with strong “natural” smells, and it was always a struggle to finish them. I’m not a wasteful person, so I rarely throw stuff away. I’m not binning this facial oil, but I can only continue to use it in conjunction with other scented products, otherwise the smell is just too much.

One more thing – this oil stains! So be careful when you use it!

I know I won’t be buying this product or any other products from Sukin’s Rosehip range again. I’ve now had this rosehip facial oil, the rosehip cleanser and the rosehip day cream, but none of these products wowed me. There is one more product in this range that’s available in the UK – the night cream. But I’m giving that one a pass!

But if you’re interested, Sukin Certified Organic Rosehip Oil for dry and distressed skin types is available as 50ml for £19.95 (Boots). I got this product as part of a £12.99 gift set which contained Sukin products worth over £40.

Empties – January 2023

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in January. The post was meant to go up on the 1st, but work is still crazy. Anyhoo, let’s look at the empties!

1 Essano Rosehip Visible Lift Eye Crème – a decent eye cream, but not the most special one. I wouldn’t buy it again.

2 Boots Glow Pineapple Serum – this serum was nice enough while it lasted, but I don’t think that it’s repurchase-worthy.

3 I Love… Mango & Papaya Nourishing Body Butter – a nice body butter. But I wouldn’t buy it again as the fragrance started to bore me halfway through the tub.

4 Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Hand Made Soap (no photo) – this is an alright soap. Not bad, but not great. It took me a while to finish it as I always have several shower products in the shower, and this soap was never my first choice. I wouldn’t buy it again.

5 Poundland #6 Vit C Toner – this is an amazing toner! Vitamin C, glycolid acid, retinol… what more can you want? £3 for 300ml. An incredible bargain!

6 Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Conditioner – an all-time HOLY GRAIL product. I have plenty of these conditioners and shampoos left in my stash for years to come!

7 Oriflame Believe – such a lovely fragrance! I have another bottle somewhere!

8 Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet – this is a nice fragrance, but nothing I would enjoy wearing all the time. My husband liked this fragrance on me, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

9 Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk – one of my all-time favourite shower gels. Too bad it’s no longer available. I have one more bottle in my stash though.

10 Astonish Bath Soak Soothing Deep Blue – the fragrance is a bit too masculine for me. I might repurchase it, but more for my husband than for me.

11 Westlab Himalayan Salt Cleansing Bath & Shower Gel – another all-time favourite shower gel. I bought 2 more bottles about 2 weeks ago. This shower gel is so special!

12 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Moisturising Facial Oil (no photo) – I liked this facial oil a lot! I wanted to buy it again but it’s been discontinued. What a shame!

I’m glad I managed to finish a few more products in January. The past 2 months have been remarkably bad for empties. Hopefully I can finish lots of products this year. Fingers crossed! And thanks for stopping by today!
