Imperial Leather SkinKind Raspberry & Lime Blossom Enriching Body Wash, Carex Drumsticks Squashies Bubblegum Shower & Bath

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels that I started to use last week – Imperial Leather SkinKind Raspberry & Lime Blossom Enriching Body Wash and Carex Drumsticks Squashies Bubblegum Shower & Bath.

Let’s start with Imperial Leather SkinKind Raspberry & Lime Blossom Enriching Body Wash which is pretty much what you’d expect it to be. The shower gel is cleansing but feels gentle, and the raspberry and lime blossom adds a nice floral-fruity touch. I like this shower gel, but I don’t love it.

Onto Carex Drumsticks Squashies Bubblegum Shower & Bath which isn’t as nice as expected. The original bubble gum fragrance that Carex used to have in their hand soap was much better compared to whatever it is that they used in this shower gel. Also, this shower gel isn’t very cleansing, so it’s only for when you haven’t broken a sweat. I’m not impressed.

If you’re interested, Imperial Leather SkinKind Raspberry & Lime Blossom Enriching Body Wash and Carex Drumsticks Squashies Bubblegum Shower & Bath are available as 400ml each. I paid £1 each.

Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel & Carex Nourishing Shower Cream

Hi there! I picked up two random shower products – Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel and Carex Nourishing Shower Cream. These were £1 each at Boots. Now let me tell you if these shower products are any good.

Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel for hair and body with vitamins A&E has a fairly random marine scent. The scent is not bad at all – it’s actually pleasant – but it’s just not very imaginative. I thought I’d end up squeezing this shower gel into the hand wash dispenser in the kitchen. However, this shower gel leaves my skin feeling amazingly clean but also hydrated, so I’m happy to continue to use it in the shower. All in all, this is a really good product!

Carex‘s Nourishing Shower Cream for dry skin has a random creamy scent – it’s pleasant enough, and it fits the colour and the formula of the product. This shower cream cleanses my skin gently. It’s not the best shower gel to use after a work-out, but it’s definitely more than just good enough for day-to-day use. It feels nice on my dry skin, and it even lets me get away with not using body lotion after a shower. Another positive surprise from Carex!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these products. They’re much better than comparable gentle shower products from Dove and other such brands. Carex Vitamin Fresh Shower Gel and Carex Nourishing Shower Cream are available as 250ml and 500ml. I picked up these two 250ml bottles when they were on special (£1 each).

The Battle Of The Purples – Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Aromatic Bath Foam vs. Carex Sensitive Bath Soak

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 bath products – Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Aromatic Bath Foam with essential oil & Carex Sensitive Bath Soak.

Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Aromatic Bath Foam with essential oil is one of my all-time favourites. The formula is gentle, and the fragrance is sensational – it smells wonderfully purple – thanks to lavender oil and ylang-ylang. I’m enjoying this bath gel very much!
palmolive-bath-carex-bath
Carex Sensitive Bath Soak is nice but not special. I found the formula a bit drying. And whilst the bath gel smells amazing when you sniff it from the bottle, it doesn’t smell as nice once dissolved in water. It doesn’t smell bad, but it has a strong waterlily note which I don’t care for. This isn’t a terrible product, but it’s also not a great product.

As expected, Palmolive Aroma Moments So Relaxed Aromatic Bath Foam is the clear winner of the Battle Of The Purples. If you’d like to try these bath gels, they’re available as 500ml, and they’re £1 each (if you pick them up at a bargain store).

Carex Original Shower Gel, Carex Moisture Plus Shower Cream

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 2 shower products – Carex Original Shower Gel and Carex Moisture Plus Shower Cream. I picked these up for £1 each (Poundland). I’ve been using these shower gels for a little while now, and here’s what I think.

Carex Original Shower Gel was a nice surprise. This shower gel has a very pleasant, refreshing and transparent blue fragrance. It isn’t spectacular, but it’s very well done, and I think it’s definitely one of the best unisex shower gels I’ve ever tried. I would repurchase it!

Carex Moisture Plus Shower Cream is the best “white” shower cream I’ve ever used. I love the cute fragrance which I can’t really describe… but I’d say the shower gel smells like multi-vitamin juice mixed with velvet and sunshine. 😜 I think the formula is lovely too, and I agree with Carex that this shower cream is moisturising. I’ll buy this one again for sure! Well done, Carex!

Carex Original Shower Gel and Carex Moisture Plus Shower Cream are available as 250ml and 500ml. Prices depend on where you shop. I paid £1 each for the big bottles (Poundland).

The Battle Of The Unicorns – Carex Fun Edition Unicorn Magic Shower And Bath vs. Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Fantasy Icon Bath Soak

Hi there! I haven’t done a product comparison for quite some time. So when I saw these 2 unicorn-themed products, I thought they would be perfect for a comparison post! And here’s how these 2 products fared. 🙂

Carex Fun Edition Unicorn Magic Shower & Bath is good but not great. The fragrance is best described as a sugared violet sweets fragrance. It’s enjoyable but very fleeting. The formula is nice. I wouldn’t say the shower gel is hydrating, but it certainly doesn’t make my skin feel dry. Like I said, this shower gel is good but not great.

Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Fantasy Icon Bath Soak was a nice surprise! From the bottle it smells terribly bland, and I thought this one might end up in the hand wash dispenser. However, I’m glad I gave this product a try because once it hits the skin, it smells pleasantly floral and soapy. Whilst the fragrance isn’t very special, I do like it. I’m also happy to report that this product doesn’t make my skin feel dry.

Whilst I ended up liking both products, I think Carex‘s Unicorn Magic is the better product. The cute fragrance fits the cute unicorn theme perfectly.

Carex Fun Edition Unicorn Magic is available as Hand Wash and Shower & Bath.I paid £1 for the 500ml Shower & Bath. Imperial Leather Cosmic Unicorn Fantasy Icon Bath Soak is available as Shower Gel and Bath Soak. I paid £1 for the 500ml Bath Soak.

Beauty & Cutie Haul – Boots, Superdrug, Asda & Primark

Hi there! Some of you may remember that I used to buy toiletries, skin care and make-up in bulk. But I’ve stopped doing that a few months ago. Since then my approach to shopping has been 3 out / 1 in, which is going surprisingly well, so I’m sticking to this approch until (at least) the end of the year. 🙂 OK, I haven’t done much shopping lately, and because of that I’ve built up some “shopping credit”. So I decided to treat myself to a few new products. Now let me show you what I bought!

I found this Baylis & Harding Beauticology Donut Shop gift set at my local Asda store. It was £6 and it contains the following full size products: Blueberry Glaze Donut Shower Crème, Frosted Sprinkles Bath Soak Crystals, Vanilla Sugar Donut Body Butter. Yummy!

I also found lots of cute trainer socks at Primark. I bought a set of 3 pairs of Pokémon socks…

… and a set of 3 pairs of Care Bears socks. No, clothes and accessories have nothing to do with the 3 out / 1 in policy / approach / thing. However, I still wanted to show you that I bought these super cute trainer socks. 🙂 OK, now let’s get back to the toiletries and the beauty products that I picked up from Boots and Superdrug!

I bought 2 Carex shower gels. Carex used to do hand soaps and hand gels only, but they’ve recently launched shower and bath products too. These Carex shower gels were £1 each (special offer, Boots). I also bought 3 Boots Extracts Body Sprays – 2 mango sprays and 1 vanilla spray. These sprays are £3.50 each, but Boots ran a 3 for 2 promo, so I spent £7 in total for these 3 fantastic body sprays.

I found this super cute Caolion O2 Sparkling Purifying Soap by accident. I wasn’t looking for it. I didn’t need it. But it was £4 (Boots) and it looked cute… I wanted it, and I bought it! I also bought 3 more B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritzes. They’re normally £7.95 each, but they were on special (half price), so they were £3.95 each. However, Superdrug also ran a 3 for 2 promo on selected skin care products, so I paid £7.90 in total for these 3 body spritzes. Fantastic value!

I bought 3 more items from Boots’ Essentials collection – a Cucumber Facial Scrub, a Cucumber Facial Toner and a Cucumber 3-Minute Clay Mask. I’m really looking forward to testing these products!

I also bought several Carex Bubble Gum hand washes (Superdrug, 89p each) and several Carex Bubble Gum hand gels (£1 each, Boots). But these products are essentials, so I always stock up when they’re on special. 🙂

Any comments on my beauty and cutie haul? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Product of the Month: Carex Fun Edition Bubble Gum Refreshing Hand Gel

Carex Bubble Gum Hand GelHi there! If you follow my blog and read even my most random posts, you know that I am obsessed with Carex Bubble Gum hand wash.

Now imagine my delight when I found a hand gel with the same fragrance last week! 😀

OK, this is only a hand gel. I realise this. But seriously, I love this bubble gum scent so much. And I bought a bottle for my husband too!

So yes, Carex Fun Edition Bubble Gum Refreshing Hand Gel is my product of the month. At the moment it’s 99p only at Asda and Superdrug, so there’s no excuse not to buy it.

And don’t forget to buy the Carex Bubble Gum hand wash! It’s the most delicious hand wash I’ve ever had. I love it that when I wash my hands with it before I go to bed, I can still smell it when I wake up in the morning.

If there is such a thing as The Ultimate Happy Time Hand Wash, then this is it!

Carex Fun Edition Hand Wash Cola Bottles, Chocolate Orange and Bubble Gum

Hi there! Now this seems like one of the most random posts ever, but… there’s a but. If you have not tried these Carex Fun Edition hand washes already, you really need to. Now! I picked up the following three scents: Cola Bottles, Chocolate Orange and Bubble Gum.
Carex Fun Edition
The first one is Cola Bottles which smells just like Haribo’s Cola Bottles. Whilst I don’t like the Haribo sweets, the hand wash is absolutely delicious! Then there’s Chocolate Orange. What can I say? It’s just as delicious and it smells incredibly authentic. Yummy!

And then there’s Bubble Gum. This is the most delicious hand wash I’ve ever had. I also love it that when I wash my hands with it before I go to bed, I can still smell it when I wake up in the morning. If there is such a thing as The Ultimate Happy Time Hand Wash, then this is it!

I wish they would do XXL Bubble Gum hand wash bottles and also make a body wash, hand cream, body butter and a body mist with this exact fragrance too. Carex, I know this is a fun edition, but please, don’t discontinue this product. Ever!

Carex Fun Edition hand washes are available in 250 ml bottles for about £1.60 to £1.85. However, at the moment Asda sells them for 87p each!
