Nail Of The Day – Manhattan Lotus Effect Nail Polish 96S & Stamping With Pict You PY-J034

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Manhattan Lotus Effect Nail Polish 96S (2 coats). This is a turquoise shade. It’s not the most special polish, but a decent one nonetheless.

For the images I used my Pict You PY-034 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I liked this mani a lot. I love marble and swirly type of manis, and this one fits right in. I’m also glad I rediscovered this stamping plate. It got lost in my stash, but now that it’s back, it’ll be used again soon!

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 eyeshadow compacts which I believe I found at Poundland – Manhattan Perfect Eyes Eyeshadow Falling For Purple and Manhattan Perfect Eyes Eyeshadow Brown Effects.

Let’s start with Manhattan Perfect Eyes Eyeshadow Falling For Purple!

Falling For Purple is a small compact which contains 3 shades – white, lilac and purple.

The first 2 eyeshadows are chalky and poorly pigmented. The third one is just about alright.

I’m not impressed with this eyeshadow compact.

Let’s take a look at Manhattan Perfect Eyes Eyeshadow Brown Effects now!

Another small compact with 3 shades – a very light beige, a pale orange and a sandy type of shade.

These eyeshadows follow the same pattern – the first 2 are just bad. There’s hardly any pigment in them and they’re dry AF. The third shade is OK though.

Guess what? This little compact didn’t impress me either. I really hate to throw out stuff but I have no use for these eyeshadows.

Declutter & Swatches Part 2 – Maybelline, B., Astor, Manhattan, Rimmel, & Technic

Hi there! Welcome to part 2 of the inofficial major declutter and swatchfest of 2021. I’m going through my stash – I’ll bin everything that I don’t want anymore or that has gone off. Let’s see how these products fared!

1 Superdrug B. Brilliant Rich Colour Lipgloss 185 Bambi

I regret not having used this lipgloss when it was new. The colour is nice! But it’s old now, and it has to go!

2 Superdrug B. Lipstick 186 Rose Quartz

Same as above! I should have given this lipstick a try when it was new. Now it has to go.

3 Superdrug B. Lipstick 083 Tagine

Wow, what an unflattering lipstick shade! Binned.

4 Manhattan X-Treme Last & Shine Lipstick 56T

Not a terrible lip colour, but not really my colour. Also – it has micro shimmer which I find ugly on me. Binned.

5 Manhattan Soft Mat Lip Cream 95M

I’m not the biggest fan of matte lip products but this shade looks nice. I’ll give it some wear over the next few weeks.

6 Astor Rouge Couture 104 Satin Fuchsia

Wow, what a colour! Unfortunately, it doesn’t look good on me. I’m a pale girl, and this lipstick gives me neon lips. Unfortunately, this one has to go.

7 Astor Colour Last VIP 345 Provocative

Not a bad colour, but it doesn’t really look good on me. So it has to go too.

8 Technic Juicy Sticks Plum

Technic is a super cheap brand with so-so products. This moisturising lip colour is not terrible, but the shade is awful on me. Another product I’m saying goodbye to.

9 Rimmel Vinyl Gloss Mirror Shine Lipgloss 115 Snog

“Mirror Shine” – not true! I didn’t care for this one. Binned.

10 Maybelline Colorsensational Lipgloss 550 Watermelon Punch

This looks amazing – but it has to go because it’s old.

Declutter & Swatches Part 1 – Rimmel, Essence, NYC, Manhattan, Astor, Beauty UK & W7

Hi there! I’m in the process of going through my almost bottomless stash of cosmetics – and will throw out what I don’t want anymore or what has gone off. A few products will be kept. Lots of swatches too – all swatches were done on a well moisturised forearm! OK, let’s take a look!

1 Manhattan X-Treme Last & Shine Lipstick 94P

What a beautiful lipstick! I wish I tried it sooner! I will keep this one and start using it asap!

2 Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 330 Sloane’s Plum

This lipstick looks almost black. But when applied, it’s a medium plum shade.

3 Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 860 Auburn Breeze

A reddish brown in the bullet, but a sheer brownish red on skin.

4 Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 680 Precious Brown

Precious Brown is a bit too pale and too sheer for me.

5 Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick 840 Burgundy Shine

Not a bad colour, but too vampy for me. I’m very pale, and this shade gives me an unwanted goth look.

6 NYC Cityproof Twistable Intense Lip Color 050 Park Slope Peach

Now this is one ugly colour! Binned right away!

7 Astor Rouge Couture 301 Nude Silk

Nude Silk is a beautiful shade. I will keep this one too.

8 Astor Colour Last VIP 344 Classy Red

I like this one! It’s a nice, wearable red. I will keep this one for now.

9 Beauty UK Eye Shadow Palette No. 4 Earth Child

10 Essence All About Nude Eyeshadow

Not sure if this is mould (top right), but this eye palette is not only new and unused – it is still sealed! 🤢

And the last two for today… Essence Silky Touch Blush 20 Babydoll. It was my go-to blush until March 2020. But I haven’t touched it since – because I work from home permanently, and whenever I don’t have to be on camera, I don’t bother with make-up. Anyhoo, I’m now saying goodbye to this pretty blush.

I’m also letting this W7 Silky Eyes Bare It All eye compact go. I haven’t touched in since March 2020. I loved the 2 brown shades so much! But it’s goodbye now!

I’m happy that I started to go through my stash. It’s not always easy to let things go, especially when there are hidden gems which I never even tried… but it has to be done. By the way, I’ve also binned about 20 products which I didn’t find swatch-worthy – not too bad!

I Heart MakeUp Lip Geek Dream About Success, Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 45B Red Passion

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 lip products – I Heart MakeUp Lip Geek Dream About Success and Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 45B Red Passion.

Let’s s start with I Heart MakeUp Lip Geek Dream About Success which I received as a free gift with purchase! As you can see in the pic above, this is a peachy shade. I find it extremely unflattering. It makes me look terminally ill. The formula is also not the best – it’s not very soft and applying the lipstick is more like dragging it on. Not good. I’ll bin this lipstick. I won’t be able to use it.

Onto this Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 45B Red Passion! This lipgloss is amazing! I love it. It has a subtle berry flavour, it’s not sticky, it’s very hydrating, and it has a flattering red tint. I’m enjoying this lipgloss very much! I found this lipgloss at Poundland – it was either £1, or part of a 2 for £1 value pack. Either way, a total steal! 😍

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lycra Pro 327 Heart On Fire, Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap Victoria, Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion & Stamping With MoYou London Zodiac Collection 02

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did last week.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap Victoria (2 coats, thumbs, index and middle fingers). I love this polish! It’s perfect! For the images I used my MoYou London Zodiac Collection 02 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I painted my pinkies and ring fingers with Rimmel Lycra Pro 327 Heart On Fire (2 coats). I’m not the biggest fan of red nails, but I think this is a beautiful red. I used my Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion top coat to make the red nails a little sparkly.

I liked this mani a lot. The stamping plate gave me better options that I initially expected. I’ll give the other stamping plates from this collection a second chance too!

Nail Of The Day – Manhattan Buffalo 12 & Stamping With MoYou Nails 447

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Manhattan Buffalo 12 (2 coats). I like this polish a lot, but I’m about 2/3 through the bottle, and the polish is getting quite thick now. I hope to be able to get one more quality mani out of this bottle! 🤞

For the images I used my MoYou Nails 447 stamping plate. MoYou Nails is different from MoYou London.

Anyhoo, the 2 amazing polishes I stamped with are Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 819 Coat Of Arms (gold) and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto (black).

For this mani I painted my nails with Manhattan Buffalo 12 (2 coats, thumbs, index and middle fingers) and Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Sonic Bloom (2 coats, ring fingers, pinkies).

The cute glitter top coat I used on the pink nails is Essence Colour & Go 105 Party Princess.

For the images I used my MoYou London Suki Collection 01 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Nail Art Expressionist 310 Night & Degas.

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails

Hi there! Today’s post is the last one for this week. This means that Nail Week has come to an end. I’ll be back with a regular product review tomorrow.

But let me tell you about this mani! I painted my nails with Barry M Matte Nail Paint Espresso (2 coats). This is a terrible polish. Tip wear and chips within hours. I had to keep filling in the tips…

I applied blobs of white nail polish with a sponge to make the lighter colours pop.

The blue and pink colours I used are from the double-ended Revlon Nail Art Expressionist 300 Pop Art. The glitter top coat I used is Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion.

This isn’t my best galaxy mani, but it’s not the worst either. I did like the mani. But next time I’ll try it without the blue.

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 370 Wild Orchid & Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 370 Wild Orchid (2 coats). This kind of purple is my favourite nail colour. 😍

The glitter polish I used is Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion. This is a mix of gold, fuchsia and blue micro glitter in a clear base. I love this kind of glitter!

I like the look of this mani. However, my nails look awful. I cleaned 2 places like a maniac when we moved house, and this took quite a toll on my nails. Rubber gloves couldn’t prevent splits and breakages, although I guess they prevented the worst!
