Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 066 Cranberry Zest & Accessorize Bewitched

Hi there! This is another mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 066 Cranberry Zest (2 coats). This is a gorgeous colour. It reminds me of Revlon’s Cherries In The Snow!

When I painted my nails, I realised that this polish is one of Rimmel’s scented polishes. I think scented polishes usually smell awful, but this (cranberry-scented) one was actually quite alright.

The flakie top coat I used is Accessorize Bewitched. This is a low quality top coat. I had to apply 2 thick coats to achieve an acceptable finish.

Having said that, I do think that this mani looked cute. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Accessorize Pink Spice & Stamping With JQ-L04

Hi there! Here’s another mani I did not too long ago. 🙂

For this mani I paited my nails with Accessorize Pink Spice. I’m not a big fan of this colour, but I can’t resist a bargain, and this polish was £1.20.

Unspectacular nail colours are often the most amazing backdrops for stamping “nail art” (which isn’t really nail art because there’s no skill required and, believe me, everyone can do it).

So I stamped! I used my cheap JQ-L04 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I think this mani looked alright. I like the images, and I think I should use this stamping plate more often!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lycra Pro 500 Peppermint, Accessorize Truffle & Stamping With Pueen 55

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lycra Pro 500 Peppermint (pinkies, index fingers, thumbs, 2 coats) and Accessorize Truffle (middle and ring fingers, 2 coats).

For the images I chose Pueen‘s 55 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Stamping Buffet collection).

The 2 polishes I stamped with are Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go (black) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (gold).

This was another mani that was inspired by boredom, but I think it looked quite nice.

Nail Of The Day – Accessorize Oil Slick Rich Gold & Stamping / A-Z Nail Art Challenge A – Animals

Hi there! Today’s Nail Of The Day post is about a mani I did a while back.

This mani is another one that I did for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. And it’s for the Animals challenge.

For this mani I painted my nails with Accessorize Oil Slick Rich Gold. This polish is a gold-to-rose duochrome polish. The colour shift is hardly visible in this picture, but in real life it’s quite pretty. 🙂

I used a number of branded and unbranded stamping plates with butterfly images.

The black polish I stamped with is my trusted Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go.

I think this mani is actually quite. Do you agree? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Accessorize Mineral Violet & Stamping (Nail Fail)

accessorize mineral violet and stampingHi there! Over the past two months I’ve done more manis than I showed you. So I thought I’d do another nail week this week.

OK, let’s get to the mani! I painted my nails with Accessorize Mineral Violet, a pale purple-to-grey duochrome. The polish is quite thin and even after three coats it still wasn’t opaque. 😦

The polish took ages to dry, and it bubbled up on my nails. Not good. At all. But the worst thing is that I have 2 bottles of Mineral Violet…

Now what do you do when you don’t have the time to redo your mani? You stamp. Why? Because stamping conceals a lot. 🙂

I grabbed a random stamping plate (sorry, I don’t remember which one), picked a random image, and then I just started to stamp. As you can see the image didn’t transfer well at all – so this mani was a complete nail fail!

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender & Color Club Covered In Diamonds

NYC Lincoln Square Lavender PLUS Color Club Covered In DiamondsHi there! Here’s another quick nail post. A couple of weeks ago I found the most amazing bargain at Poundworld – three NYC nail polishes for £1! The polishes looked absolutely perfect, so I grabbed quite a few triple packs. 🙂

One of the new polishes is NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender. The soft lavender shade is quite pretty and I’m 100% happy with the quality of the polish (dries fast, only two coats needed).

However, I get easily bored of simple manis, so I added a few flakies. I couldn’t be bothered to apply several coats of flakie topper, so I left it at one coat of Color Club’s Covered In Diamonds.

Yes, I could have use a little hand lotion around the cuticles… but it’s too late now. Anyway, I really love the flakie look. It’s a lot more beautiful on darker nails, but I think it looks great on this soft lavender shade too.

Beauty Sale at Accessorize – Small Haul

Hi there! I’ve been sale shopping in London all day and I found these cute eyeshadow palettes at Accessorize – and they were £6 each only! They’re called ‘Paradise’ and ‘Exposed’ and they contain 32 shades each.

Paradise is a colourful eye palette, while Exposed reminded me of MakeUp Revolution’s Flawless palette instantly – but it’s not an exact dupe. I’ll swatch and review these two very shortly!

They also had dozens of nail polishes on sale for half price = £2 each. I chose the shades ‘Check Mate‘ (black and white glitter), ‘Berry Nice‘ (creamy raspberry), ‘Bewitched‘ (flakies) and ‘Speckled Egg Purple‘ (matte hex glitter in a lavender base).

I spent £20 in total for all these products. They had another palette and quite a few different nail polishes on sale, but I’ve got lots of beauty stuff at home so I couldn’t justify buying more. Anyway, I can’t wait to try out the palettes and the nail polishes! 🙂
