Empties – January 2022

Hi there! It’s the first day of a new month, and this means that today’s post is about last month’s beauty empties. And here they are!

1 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Lip Balm – a decent lip balm! I have another one in my stash.

2 Mugler Aura Eau De Parfum Sensuelle – this is a nice fragrance for sure, but I didn’t enjoy it enough to buy it again.

3 Rimmel Lycra Pro 421 Clearly Clear – one of my favourite clear polishes. I should have a few more of these in my stash.

4 Yves Rocher Jardins Du Monde Well-Being Shower Gel With Lavandin – this is a decent shower gel in many ways, but not a favourite, so I won’t be buying it again.

5 Dove Go Fresh Revive Body Wash With Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena Scent – I don’t think I’ll buy this shower gel again. It’s just not repurchase-worthy.

6 Palmolive My Fresh Splash Shower Gel – such a lovely shower gel. Too bad it was a limited edition, otherwise I’d buy it again.

7 Agent Provocateur Aphrodisiaque Eau De Parfum – nice enough while it lasted (my husband liked this fragrance on me), but I wouldn’t buy it again.

8 Garnier Skin Active Soothing Botanical Toner With Rose Water – this is an OK toner. I don’t think I’ll buy it again.

9 B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz – a beauty staple! I have a few more of these!

10 Gliss Liquid Silk Shampoo & Conditioner – I love Gliss’ liquid silk hair products. A definite repurchase!

11 Radox Essentials Soft Care Bath Cream with Milk – one of my favourite bath products ever. Unfortunately, it was discontinued, so I can’t buy it again.

12 Classics Nail Polish Remover – my go-to nail polish remover!

13 Prada Infusion D’Iris Eau De Toilette – a really nice fragrance. Repurchase-worthy!

14 Patisserie De Bain Orange Crush Hand Cream – a decent hand cream, no doubt, but I don’t think that I’ll repurchase it.

15 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm & Lift Eye Renewal Gel – one of my all-time favourite eye products. I have at least 2 more in my stash.

I also used 11 single-use face masks. And all in all, I’m happy with what I managed to use up in January!

Mugler Aura Eau De Parfum Sensuelle

Hi there! Today’s post is about a fragrance I’ve been wearing on and off since August (or so) – Mugler Aura Eau De Parfum Sensuelle. This fragrance has the following notes: gardenia and cinnamon leaf (top notes), green notes (heart notes), and white musk and sandalwood (base notes).

This is an unusual but very wearable fragrance. It smells green, but at the same time it’s sweet. It reminds me of sweet woodruff and strawberry leaves with herbal (almost medicinal) undertones.

It’s one of those fragrances that are very hard to describe. I don’t think this one is a safe blind buy, but if you like the original Aura, this one is similar (although the original Aura is better).

Whilst I like this fragrance, I wouldn’t actually recommend it because it’s rather faint, and it only lasts about 2-3 hours on my skin. I have to spray A LOT (think body mist) to get a half-decent scent cloud.

If you’re interested, Mugler Aura Eau De Parfum Sensuelle is available as 30ml and 50ml. I paid £34.95 for the 50ml. Ultimately, the price will depend on where you shop! 😉

Haul! Sukin, Mugler, Tonymoly, Nina Ricci, Maui Moisture, NIP+FAB, Bees Brilliance & Precision Beauty Tools

Hi there! Today’s post is about a bunch of products I ordered from TK Maxx. Some of the bargains were just too good to resist…

Sukin Hydrate Pack for a ridiculous £12.99! This set contains 3 products – with one of them being the full size 120ml Rosehip Hydrating Day Cream which is £18.95 on its own. What a bargain set!

Nina Ricci L’Extase, 30ml for £16.99. Mugler Aura Eau De Parfum Sensuelle, 50ml for £34.99.

NIP+FAB Renew Retinol Fix Tonic, 100ml for £10. This toner is usually around £22. Tonymoly I’m Seaweed pack of 10 face masks for £9.99.

Bees Brilliance Skin Brightening Spot Essence, 15g for £3. This stuff is usually £24.99. Insane saving! I bought 2 bottles. Maui Moisture Volcanic Ash Body Lotion, Maui Moisture Shea Butter Body Lotion, these are 384ml each for £4 each.

And lastly, Precision Beauty Rejuvenating Micro-Needle Derma Roller for £4.99. Precision Beauty Jade Beauty Roller Set for £10. This is a back-up!

This is already it. I didn’t go overboard – it’s just skin care and fragrance. It’s not like I bought 10 eye palettes… 😜 Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? Feel free to comment, and thanks for reading! x

Major Haul! Yves Saint Laurent, Thierry Mugler, The Crème Shop, Patisserie De Bain, Soap & Glory, Sanctuary Spa, Boots No.7, Valjean Labs & More!

Hi there! Since I’ve been shopping a lot lately, I thought I’d let you know what I got my hands on. It’s mainly stuff from the bargain stores and discounted gift sets from the post-Christmas sale. OK, here’s everything I picked up!

Thierry Mugler Aura gift set£32.66. Debenhams.

Max & More No. 4 Nude Eyeshadow Palette£2. I haven’t heard of Max & More, so I looked up the brand… apparently it’s a cruelty-free brand from the Netherlands. Fantastic stuff!

Max & More No. 1 Forest Eyeshadow Palette£2. I found these palettes at Poundland.

Primark Holler And Glow Nails Before Tails Nail Polish Set£4.
Patisserie De Bain Raspberry Roulade Hand Cream, Orange Crush Hand Cream£1 each.
Patisserie De Bain Sweet As Cherry Pie Body Mist£1.
The Patisserie De Bain products are Poundland finds!

Lisseau Cocoa Body Butter80p.
Liseau Vanilla Body Butter80p.
These body butters are from Poundstretcher!

YSL Cinéma Eau de Parfum£31.50 (half price offer, Debenhams).
Malki Dead Sea Natural Sulphur Soap x2, £3.75 each and a 3 for 2 offer, so I am pretty annoyed that Boots forgot the 3rd item – but I have dropped them an email, and I hope they send me the missing Dead Sea soap asap.

The Crème Shop Santa’s List Charcoal Sheet Mask (pack of 5)£4.99.
The Crème Shop Pumpkin Spice Fusion Sheet Mask (pack of 5) £4.99.
These masks are from TK Maxx!

The Crème Shop Last Christmas Naughty & Nice Sheet Masks (pack of 6, 3 Naughty and 3 Nice masks) – £5.99.
TK Maxx, again.

The Crème Shop Holiday Cheer & Clear Sheet Masks (pack of 6, 3 Naughty and 3 Nice masks) – £5.99.
Yup, they’re from TK Maxx as well.

Another TK Maxx find!

Sanctuary Spa gift set£7. Boots.

Another Sanctuary Spa gift set. This one contains a shower gel, luxury bath float, body butter and hand cream. These are all full sizes. I’m sorry I haven’t opened this one yet. 1 at a time! This set was £12.50. Boots.

Sanctuary Spa gift set number 3 – £10. Yes, Boots again.

Soap & Glory Clean On Me and Scrub Of Your Life. These came in a gift set with…

Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter, Hand Food and 2 bath bombs. I am not going to use the bath bombs. They’re glittery. I’ll give them to the first person who wants them. The gift set with all 6 products was £10. Boots.

Creightons Hand CreamsArgan Oil, Cocoa Butter, Manuka Honey. I am not sure how much these were, but I’ll check the next time I swing by Home Bargains.

2 more Patisserie De Bain Hand Creams – these were £1 each. Poundland.

Boots No.7 gift set – this set contains all sorts of goodies. It was £39 (better than half price offer before the sale even started). Boots.

And finally… I bought 2 more George at Asda duvet cover sets. They’re king size, and they were £14 each. I love these designs! However, I need to stop buying duvet cover sets. I bought 6 over the past year, and even though I got rid of all the old (very old, actually) duvet cover sets, I have more than enough now.

*** By the way, please remember not to dispose of unwanted textiles of any kind (clothes, towels, bedding, etc) with your household rubbish. Your local charity shop will gladly accept items in good condition, H&M and other high street stores run textile recycling schemes (H&M accepts clothes and household textiles like towels and bedding), and animal shelters are usually happy to accept towels and duvet covers (but not duvets as they’re difficult to clean and they can’t be recycled). ***
