Nail Of The Day – The Ultimate Halloween Mani Feat. Revlon, Rimmel, MoYou London & More

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this spooky Halloween mani I painted my nails with:
MUA Whitewash (pinkies, index fingers), Revlon Colorstay 090 Sorbet (ring fingers), and Rimmel I  ♥ Lasting Finish 401 Wedge Of Lime (middle fingers, thumbs).

I used Boots No 7 Devils Delight and a small piece of a sponge for the blood effect. The stamping plate I used is MoYou London’s Festive 53 plate. The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

For this mani I simply “recycled” a few old mani ideas from the past few years and put them together. And I liked the result!

Nail Of The Day – Barry M Waikiki & Stamping With MoYou London 53

Hi there! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. And it’s another mani I will file under Halloween Nail Ideas.

For this mani I painted my nails with Barry M Waikiki (2 coats). This is a matte polish. I don’t like matte nails at all, so I applied 1 coat of clear polish to give the mani a glossy finish.

I used MoYou London‘s Festive 53 stamping plate and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto to stamp ghosts, bats, spiderwebs, a broom, bones, a mummy, and a skeleton onto my nails.

I really liked this mani. The base colour and the images are absolutely perfect for Halloween.

Nail Of The Day – Primark PS Nail Polish Marshmallow & Stamping With MoYou London Festive 53

Hi there! I hope everyone had a good weekend! This week is going to be Nail Week. Yes, that means I’ll post about manis only. And today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago. I’ve done a very similar mani for Halloween 2017, so you could say I’m recycling my own ideas. 😀

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark PS Nail Polish Marshmallow (2 coats). This is a great white polish. I’m glad I stocked up because I haven’t seen this polish in quite some time.

I used an unnamed tomato red Beauty UK polish and a small piece of a make-up sponge to apply the “blood”. For the bat images I used MoYou London‘s Festive 53 plate (big bats), an unbranded stamping plate (small bats) and my home-made “stamping” polish.

I likd this mani. But I think I should have chosen a more vibrant red polish for the blood effect. Oh, and by the way, if you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link.

Nail Of The Day – Halloween Nail Art Ideas / Primark PS… 18 Strobe, Boots 17 Red & Stamping With MoYou London Festive 53 / A-Z Nail Art Challenge N – Nocturnal Creatures

Hi there! Today I’ve got another Halloween nail art idea for you. 🙂

Last year I did a bats on blood mani. I really loved that mani, and I was thinking about doing the same mani again.

However, I also wanted to use one of my newest stamping plates, so I went for a cute bats on blood mani. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark PS… 18 Strobe. This is a great white polish that I really need to stock up on!

I used Boots 17 Red and a small piece of a make-up sponge for the blood effect.

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go. I used 2 stamping plates – a random unbranded plate (small bats) and MoYou London‘s brand new Festive 53 plate (big bats) which is packed with cute images.

Oh, by the way, this mani counts towards the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. This is my interpretation of the Nocturnal Creatures challenge. 🙂

If you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link. Oh, in case you’re wondering… yes, I did purchase this stamping plate (and the other new ones) myself!

Now… how do you like this mani? I think it’s awesome. Do you agree? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Halloween Nail Art Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 260 Bold Sangria & Stamping

Hi there! I’ve got another Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 260 Bold Sangria. I really like this polish. It’s the most beautiful dark purple colour.

I also used my home-made orange stamping polish and a number of different stamping plates with bat images.

I think this mani turned out OK. In real life it looked much better than it does in the picture. The orange bats looked almost flawless.

How do you like the idea of orange bats on a purple base? Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

A-Z Nail Art Challenge

Hi there! I’ve just completed the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. Whilst I feel quite proud of myself, I’ve already looked up new nail art challenges. I found all sorts of different challenges, and some of them are rather demanding. So I opted for a challenge that I think I should be able to complete – the A-Z Nail Art Challenge!

The beauty of this challenge is that you can make up your own challenge. All you have to do is take 2 minutes out of your life to think up different challenges – one for every letter in the alphabet. Here’s what I’ve come up with:

Animals
Blue
Coral
Diva
Exotic
Fuzzy Topper
Galaxies
Holo
Inspired By A Colour
Joy To The World
Kitties
Love
Movie
Nocturnal Creatures
Out Of Space
Purple
Quick & Easy
Red
Summer
TV
Underwater
Vibrant
Whatever I Want
X-Plain To Me Why You’re Doing Red Nails Again…
Yellow
Zebra
ENCORE – Recreate A Favourite

I’ll be completing the A-Z Nail Art Challenge over the next few months. I don’t know how long it’ll take, but the one thing I know is that I won’t be doing the manis in alphabetical order. Oh, and I might change the individual challenges if I have a better idea. I already changed “Green” to “Galaxies”! 🙂

I won’t be using any photos of manis I’ve already done. I’ll be doing new manis, but I might recycle my own ideas. 🙂 In case you’re wondering about the photos in this post… well, they’re here because I didn’t want to do a text-only post. And since I already had these photos in my media library, I thought I might as well just recycle them for this post. But again, the manis I’ll be doing for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge will be new manis.

What do you think of this Nail Art Challenge? Is this something you can see yourself doing? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Blood & Bats For Halloween – Featuring Essence, Revlon & Maybelline / Nail Art Challenge #23 Inspired By A Movie

bloody bats nail artHi there! Today’s post is about my Halloween 2016 mani – blood & bats.

I had the idea to do this mani when I did my Halloween Nail Ideas post earlier this month. In that post I showed you photos of a bat mani and a blood spatter mani – and back then I knew that I wanted to combine the two.

So for this mani I painted my nails with Essence The Gel Polish 33 Wild White Days (1 coat). Then I applied a few blobs of red polish – Maybelline Colorshow 349 Power Red – with (a small piece of) a make-up sponge.

I used two no-name stamping plates – M94 (Konad dupe) and A13 – and my favourite black polish, Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto, to stamp on the bats.

I think this mani turned out nicer than expected. I wasn’t sure if a sponge would be the right tool to create a bloody background for the bats – but I think it looks quite authentic. So yes, I chose the right tool for this nail art job! 🙂

I’m also including this mani in my 31 Days Nail Art Challenge as #23 Inspired By A Movie. The movie would be ‘Bats’, a shockingly bad movie featuring bloodthirsty bats (and with plenty of shockingly bad acting).

If you’re still looking for last-minute Halloween nail art inspiration, please check out all the manis I’ve done this month – they’re all Halloween-themed! I hope everyone has a Happy Halloween tomorrow. And thanks for stopping by!
