Olay Essentials Glow Perfectors BB Cream Light

Hi there! Today’s post is about the facial moisturiser that I’ve been using for almost 3 weeks now – Olay Essentials Glow Perfectors BB Cream. I bought the shade “Light“. This product is a moisturising cream mixed with a Max Factor Foundation. It contains niacinamide, vitamins B and E, pro-vitamin B5, as well as SPF 15.

This moisturiser promises 24-hour hydration and an even complexion for a perfect everyday look. Alrighty… read on if you’d like to know if this product is any good.

I like this product, but I don’t love it. First of all, the shade light is way too dark for pale girls. I have to mix it with my pale winter foundation (Max Factor Pan Stik 12 True Beige) because it looks grotesque if I use it with my regular foundation (Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair). When blended with my pale winter foundation, it does look good.

I’m happy to report that this BB Cream is very hydrating, and that it plays well with all the makeup products I apply on top of it. So based on this, I have no reason to complain. However, whilst I will finish this product for sure, I won’t repurchase it because it just isn’t the most suitable moisturiser for me.

If you’re interested, Olay Essentials Glow Perfectors BB Cream is available as 50ml. I paid £3.50 (clearance).

L’Oréal Youth Code Luminizer BB Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about L’Oréal‘s Youth Code Luminizer BB Cream (light shade, import from Germany) which I picked up for £4.99 at my local B&M Bargains store. This BB cream with SPF 15 promises 24-hour hydration and luminous skin.

It also claims to cover up blemishes and to make skin discolourations appear less visible. L’Oréal also says that, after 2 weeks, the skin looks more radiant and more even.
L'Oreal Luminizer BB Cream
I’ve been using this BB cream almost every day for just over a month now. And I’m satisfied that it hydrates my skin well. It does cover up minor skin discolourations, but it doesn’t replace a foundation. In addition, the light shade is way too dark for me, so I wouldn’t be able to wear the bb cream on its own anyway.

Having said that, this BB cream sits well under my foundation. No issues at all! However, I don’t think that my skin looks more radiant or more even. But I’ve been using all sorts of brightening products for some time now, so at this point I wouldn’t expect a random day moisturiser to pack a punch.

All in all, this is a nice BB cream. I would definitely recommend it to everyone who’s looking for a rich day moisturiser that plays well with foundation. The 50ml tube is £4.99 only (B&M Bargains) which is a total steal!
