Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub. This is a single-use scrub, and it was part of one of the Sanctuary Spa Christmas gift sets I bought for half price on Boxing Day. This salt scrub contains Dead Sea salts and a blend of jojoba, coconut and almond oils. It promises to exfoliate and nourish skin in one go.

There are 2 ways to use this scrub. If you use it in the shower, rub the scrub into wet skin. But you can also use it in the bath. In this case, rub it over dry skin, then carefully (!) step into the bath and let the warm water melt away the salts!

I’ve given this scrub a try, and I think it’s excellent. It’s a typical salt scrub – it’s a very effective exfoliant, but it also nourishes the skin. I enjoyed it very much! The fragrance is the typical Sanctuary Spa fragrance. So whilst this scrub contains coconut oil, I’m happy to report that it doesn’t smell of coconut at all.

What else? Of course, this type of products leaves the shower or bath slippery, so please be super careful and get your partner, child, house-mate, etc to clean the shower or bath tub. 😁 Hey, this is a spa treatment. You’re not supposed to clean your own bathroom right after!

If you’re interested, Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub is available as 650g for ÂŁ14.

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Cherry & Macadamia Body Scrub

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing Superdrug‘s Cherry & Macadamia Body Scrub. Superdrug’s own brand body butters and body scrubs seem to be disappearing from the stores. So I thought I should finally give this body scrub (which has been sitting in my stash for ages) a try. Read on if you’d like to know if this product is any good.

I think Superdrug did an amazing job with this body scrub. It’s very effective, it has the perfect consistency, it makes my skin feel insanely soft without being too harsh – and it smells like cherry ice cream! This is an amazing product, and it’s sad that Superdrug has discontinued the entire line. I bought two of these body scrubs, and I’m glad I did!

Superdrug’s Cherry & Macadamia Body Scrub is suitable for vegans. The product is also certified cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo). This scrub is available as 200ml. It’s ÂŁ4.99 but I picked it up for half price. 🙂

Reducing My Oldies Stash – Possibility Amber & Lavender Bath and Shower Body Scrub

Possibility Amber Lavender ScrubHi there! Today’s post is about Possibility’s Amber & Lavender Bath & Shower Body Scrub.

This product has been sitting in my stash for quite some time. But I enjoyed the matching shower and bath gel, so I thought it’s time to give this body scrub a try.

I’ve been using this body scrub on and off for over 2 weeks now, and have to say that I really like it!

The formula is very interesting – possibly unique! It’s a transparent gel that feels lightweight and stiff at the same time.

I really like the amber and lavender fragrance. It’s surprisingly elegant, and it reminds me of some of Imperial Leather’s dreamiest shower gels. The exfoliating effect is noticeable but gentle. This product is definitely suitable for daily use.

Possibility’s Amber & Lavender Bath & Shower Body Scrub is available as 200ml. I paid 99p (bargain store – but not sure which one).

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub. I really like Superdrug’s Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Butter, so I thought I really should try the matching scrub. And when I saw it was on special (ÂŁ2.45, half price offer), I bought it. 🙂 Now let me tell you if the scrub is any good…

I think this scrub is quite effective. It makes my skin feel super soft – almost polished! But don’t worry, this scrub isn’t too harsh, and it certainly doesn’t cut my skin. 🙂 The cocoa and vanilla fragrance is very nice. It’s sweet and cuddly, and it’ll be perfect for the colder seasons.

Superdrug’s Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub is suitable for vegans. The product is also 100% cruelty-free. If you’d like to try the scrub, it’s available as 200ml for ÂŁ4.99. But don’t miss out on deals – Superdrug does half price and BOGOF deals very often.

Osiris AvisĂ© Apricot Facial Scrub

Osiris Facial ScrubHi there! Today’s post is about Osiris AvisĂ©’s Apricot Exfoliating Facial Scrub. I bought this product ages ago. Back then I was happy to use abrasive scrubs on my face. But I’m no longer doing that.

Nowadays most people know that scrubs with crushed apricot kernels and walnut shells are too harsh for the face. That’s because these scrubs can cause tiny cuts on the skin surface. Bacteria really love these microscopic cuts – they’ll settle in and then they’ll give you spots. Yikes!

If you were ever wondering why your face would break out in spots on the same day (or the day after) you’ve used a harsh face scrub, it’s more likely than not that the scrub is to blame.

I had the same problem. But guess what, I stopped using harsh scrubs on my face – and I haven’t had any issues since.

Anyhoo, since I’m a beauty and toiletries hoarder, I have a few harsh face scrubs left in my stash. I’m not throwing the scrubs away (I paid for them!), but I don’t want to give them away either (I really wouldn’t want a friend to use this stuff on their face).

So I’m using these scrubs as body scrubs! This particular scrub is actually quite alright. It’s not as thick as St. Ives’ scrubs, so it’s easier to use. And it smells a lot better than St. Ives’ scrubs too! I’m happy to continue to use this scrub on my body. However, I don’t think I’d repurchase this product once it’s finished.

Have you tried any other products from this brand? If so, please let me know. I’d love to hear what you think.
