Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Whipped Body Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Whipped Body Cream. Live + Be is a vegan & cruelty-free collection which, unfortunately, has been discontinued.

Woodland Whisper is, in my opinion, the stand-out fragrance of the entire collection. I already love the shower gel and the body mist, so trying the matching body cream was a no-brainer.

Let’s start with the fragrance – Woodland Whisper has the following notes – fennel, coriander, cardamom and charcoal. I don’t think it smells like any of these notes (or the sum of these notes), but I would describe the fragrance as warm, sweet and woody. It’s beautiful!

The formula of this whipped body cream is just as lovely as its scent. The cream is rich, but it’s easy to spread and it sinks right into the skin. It moisturises my skin well, it feels velvety on the skin, but it doesn’t feel heavy or greasy at all. It’s perfect!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this product! Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Whipped Body Cream is available as 300ml for £1.75. What a bargain!

Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Shower Cream, Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Bath Soak

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 products I started to use earlier this month – Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Shower Cream and Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Bath Soak. These are part of Boots’ vegan Live + Be collection.

Let’s start with Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Shower Cream which is a dream come true! The shower cream feels amazing on the skin! Wow! And the fragrance is just dreamy. It’s woody, warm, green, slightly sweet, but still transparent. Wow! I’m so glad I bought this product. It’s one of my favourite products so far this year!

Onto Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Bath Soak! This product is rich and creamy, and I was impressed to find that it’s not drying at all. Lots of so-called creamy bath products feel nourishing, but 10 minutes after the bath the skin is dry. This bath product is NOT one of those products. It makes my skin feel really good. However, the scent isn’t my favourite. I had a body mist with the same fragrance before, and it got old quickly. I do think this one would make a nice hand wash though.

Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Shower Cream and Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Bath Soak are available as 400ml each for £1.25 each. A total steal!

Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Hand Cream, Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Hand Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 hand creams I started to use just recently – Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Hand Cream and Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Hand Cream. These are part of Boots’ vegan and cruelty-free Live + Be collection which, unfortunately has been discontinued. But stores still have random stock, and there are quite a few different products available online.

Alrighty, let’s move on to Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Hand Cream. This is a rich, almost buttery, and luxurious hand cream with a fresh rose scent – reminiscent of subtle rose fragrances like Stella or Chloé. I like the formula a lot. It’s great for dry hands!

Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Hand Cream has the same beautiful formula – it’s nourishing and caring. Very nice! The fragrance is a bit random – it’s a sweet, powdery and slightly musky scent. This is a fragrance that, I think, teenagers would enjoy more. However, the formula is what’s important, and I’m happy to use this hand cream!

Based on my experience, I’d recommend these hand creams. I think I paid £1 per hand cream. These were from the reduced to clear shelf.

Empties – April 2021

Hi there! It’s the first weekday in May, so it’s time for my April Empties post. I used 11 single-use face masks – and you can read about my latest face mask finds here. Now let’s get to the bigger bottles, tubes and tubs!

1 Alberto Balsam Stunning Shine Shampoo & Conditioner – I loved this conditioner (and the matching shampoo). Unfortunately, the entire Blends line has been discontinued. 😦

2 Sainsburys The Collection Sleep Relax Bath Soak – what a surprise find! I have repurchased this one already! My husband used this bath product too, so this is a shared empty.

3 Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak – this was nice, but I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve had enough rose-scented stuff for the moment.

4 Ciaté Cabaret – I liked this colour. I wore it on its own a few times, and it looked really good. I won’t repurchase it though. I have lots of similar nail polishes.

5 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Firm & Lift Day Lotion – a beauty staple! Love it! ♥

6 Cellio It’s True Honey Moisture Cream – a lovely moisturiser. I would buy it again!

7 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Mist – the perfect Mugler Alien dupe as a body mist. I have already stocked up.

8 Tesco Kind & Pure Refreshing Face Wash – a decent face wash. I’d repurchase it (although not now as I have a few other face washes to finish).

9 Boots Extracts Sweet Mango Body Scrub – a great product. Too bad the entire line has been discontinued! 😦

10 Radox “Perky Peach” Peach & Berry Scent Shower Gel – a great shower gel! I’d like to buy it again.

11 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Body Lotion – I’m glad this body lotion is gone! Bye!

12 Superdrug Layering Lab Blossom Shower Foam – I didn’t care for it at all, and I won’t buy it again.

13 Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Body Mist – this was nice enough while it lasted, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

14 Creightons Manuka Honey Hydrating Hand Cream – one of my favourite hand creams. I would like to repurchase it!

15 Creightons Cocoa Butter Softening Hand Cream – another great hand cream that I’d be happy to buy again.

16 L’Oréal Elvive Full Restore 5 Repairing Cica-Masque – this is actually a really good hair mask but the fragrance started to annoy me half-way through the tub, so I won’t be repurchasing this product any time soon.

17 Boots Extracts Rosehip Body Butter – OMG, I love this body butter! The Extracts line has been discontinued, but I have a few more tubs.

And this is everything I managed to finish in April. Not bad! Which products have you said goodbye to recently? Feel free to let me know via the comments. And thanks for reading!

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow, Captivating Pause, Woodland Whisper Body Mists

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 body mists from Boots’ vegan & cruelty-free Live + Be collection. The entire collection is being discontinued, and all the products have been heavily discounted. These 100ml body mists were £1.25 each!

Let’s start with Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Body Mist! This body mist smells just like the matching shower gel (I mention this because the matching whipped body cream smells different). What does this mean? According to Boots, this body mist contains notes of mandarin, yuzu, mimosa and almond. I would describe the scent as yellow and yoghurty, with a strong yuzu note. It doesn’t last very long, but it produces a nice scent cloud when I spray it generously all over my body.

Onto Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Body Mist! I haven’t used any of the matching body products yet, but this body mist is supposed to smell like a mix of nutmeg, jasmine, coconut and black sugar. I can’t smell any coconut or jasmine, but I would describe the fragrance as unisex, dry, powdery, slightly herbal and a tad sweet. This body mist isn’t ground-breaking, but it’s great for when you want to smell nice but don’t feel like wearing fragrance.

And last but certainly not least… Boots Live + Be Woodland Whisper Body Mist – which is the best of the bunch! This one is supposed to smell like fennel, coriander, cardamom and charcoal. I would describe the scent as woody, warm and slightly sweet with a touch of musk. It’s a wonderful sweater weather fragrance that makes me think of a cosy night in a cabin with a fireplace. I’m glad I bought 2 of these body mist as well as additional products from this range (2 body creams, shower cream, bath fizzer).

If you’re interested in trying products from Boots’ vegan and cruelty-free Live + Be collection, be quick! If you’ve had any products from this collection, feel free to let me know your favourite via the comments! And thanks for stopping by today! x

HAUL! New Products From Boots, No 7, Sanctuary Spa, Marks & Spencer, Fragonard, Olay, Westlab, Radox, Dead Sea & More

Hi there! Today’s post is about most of the stuff I bought since the post-Christmas sale started. I’m saying most of the stuff because I always forget a lot… OK, let’s take a look at the goodies!

Boots Skincare Treats The Discovery Collection – this was £10 on Boxing Day. I bought 3 of these. The 2 moisturisers are worth £25 alone! The set would have been great value for full price = £20, but it was the most amazing bargain for half price on Boxing Day!

I bought more face masks – but what else is new? Some half price Disney masks, some £1 masks from B&M Bargains.

The Sanctuary Spa Celebration Hamper – this was £20 on Boxing Day and it had the following goodies:

These look amazing!

And these too!

I bought a few more products from Boots’ discontinued Live + Be range. The cheapest item was £1, the most expensive item was £1.75.

A few more Live + Be products.

I also bought fragrances from M&S. The first 2 were £9.50, the third was £12.50. All of them are repurchases.

I bought a number of different Westlab bath salts, the one above was £2.99 at Boots.

I also bought more Radox bath salts. The one above was £2.25 at Sainsburys.

2 more Radox shower gels – these were about £1.30 (or so) each at Superdrug.

Fragonard Belle De Nuit fragrance – £20 at M&S, the Olay Face Wash was £2.09 at Boots, the the Botanics Face Scrub was 33p (£2.33 plus 200 Advantage points for buying a Botanics product).

I also rescued 2 Dead Sea Natural Mineral Soaps from the clearance bin.

And this is it! Quite a bit, eh? Well, what can I say. I’ll always be a bargain hunter! Thanks for stopping by today! 😊

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Whipped Body Cream

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Whipped Body Cream. This body cream contains shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba seed oil, and it smells of mandarin, yuzu, mimosa and almond. And like all the products from the Live + Be collection, this body cream is cruelty-free and suitable for vegans.

I’ve been using this body cream on an off since mid-January, and I think it’s good but not great. Whilst this body cream nourishes my skin (it’s better than the Garnier body lotion I’m also using at the moment), the fragrance isn’t as nice as expected. I just finished the matching shower gel, so I know what the Awakening Glow products are supposed to smell like. However, the body cream doesn’t have that cute yellow yoghurtiness of the shower gel.

I wouldn’t buy this product again, but if you’re interested, Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Whipped Body Cream is available as 300ml for £1.75.

Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Clay Face & Body Mask With Jasmine

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Clay Face & Body Mask With Jasmine which I picked up just a few weeks ago. According to Boots, the entire Live + Be collection is vegan & cruelty-free! This clay mask is aimed at all skin types, and you’re supposed to apply it to your face or body, let it dry for about 10 minutes, then wash it off with warm water.

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s good but not great. I think it feels cleansing, and I have no complaints really, but I’ve had more powerful clay masks. Having said this, Boots Live + Be Captivating Pause Clay Face & Body Mask With Jasmine is great value – it’s £1.50 for a 200ml tub, so if you’re on a budget, you can get a decent clay mask that will last you for a while (and will look good in every bathroom).

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream, Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 bath and body products which I’ve been using since December – Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream and Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak. According to Boots, all the products in their Live + Be collection are suitable for vegans.

Let’s start with Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream with mandarin, yuzu, mimosa and almond. This shower cream is meant to wake you up gently, and I would agree that it does what it says. The formula is super gentle, and the cute fragrance is best described as yellow and yoghurty!

Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak with rosewood, peony, lily of the valley and amber is meant to make you feel positive and “connected”. I think the airy rose fragrance is very nice and relaxing, so I guess you can say that it makes you feel positive. I am certainly enjoying this product!

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream and Boots Live + Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak are available as 400ml each. I paid £1.25 for the shower cream, and £1.50 for the bath soak.
