Nail Of The Day – Rimmel 60 Seconds 625 Sir Yes Sir, Boots No. 7 Hot To Trot, Foils, & Stamping With MoYou London

Hi there! Happy Monday, everyone! Today’s post is about this mani that I did about 2 weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Boots No. 7 Hot To Trot (2 coats, pinkies, ring fingers). This is an amazing polish. With most gold, silver and metallic shades, you get visible brushstrokes – but not with this one! 😍 For the images I used my MoYou London Zodiac 01 stamping plate and a black Rimmel polish.

I painted my thumbs, index and middle fingers with Rimmel 60 Seconds 625 Sir Yes Sir (2 coats). I like this polish a lot. It looks great on its own – but I think it looks even better with those cute rainbow foils. 🌈

Nail Of The Day – Boots No. 7 Devil’s Delight & Essence Mountain Calling Snow Effect Top Coat

Hi there! I have another short Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Boots No. 7 Devil’s Delight (2 coats). This is a gorgeous red polish. I love everything about it.

Before I applied 1 coat of Essence Mountain Calling Snow Effect top coat, I applied 1 coat of clear polish. I did this to make sure the top coat stays pretty (and without it taking on an unwanted pink hue from the red polish).

I liked this mani very much. It was super easy to do, and I think it looked cute and christmassey. The snow effect top coat is simply awesome! Thanks, Essence!

Nail Of The Day – Nail Art Challenge #28 Inspired By A Flag

Hi there! Today’s post is about another mani I did for the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. And this mani is for challenge #28 Inspired By A Flag.

This challenge is (well, was) one of the few that I thought I might have to skip. However, I remembered that Canada Day is just around the corner. And I also have quite a few Canadian blogging buddies, so I thought I could do Canada nails. 😉

I didn’t have any stamping plates with large maple leaf images, and I couldn’t draw a maple leaf if my life depended on it. So I opted for a stamping image that featured small maple leaves.

Which products did I use? I chose Boots No 7 Devil’s Delight as my red base colour. The white nail polish I used for the accent nail is MUA White Wash. The red stamping colour is Rimmel 60 Seconds 320 Red Ruby, and the stamping plate is an unbranded one that’s just called CF-17.

I really like how this mani turned out! One of the maple leaves didn’t stamp perfectly, but all in all I’m happy with this mani.

How do you like this mani? And if you’re Canadian – will you try a Canada Day mani? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Boots No.7 Devil’s Delight & Stamping With Pueen 77 / Nail Art Challenge #1 Red Nails

uploadHi there! I’m continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge, and today’s post is about Red Nails (Nail Art Challenge #1).

For this mani I painted my nails with Boots No.7 Devil’s Delight (two coats). I like the formula of this polish. It’s perfect. And the No.7 brush (wide, flat) is great too.

If you know me, you know I can’t just paint my nails and leave it at that. And I think the Nail Art Challenge is worthy of more than just plain red nails.

So I decided to stamp! I chose a cute image from Pueen’s 77 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection). The white stamping polish is Essence’s fantastic Stampy Polish.

I’m pleased with this mani and I really like the red and white colour combination. Do you agree? Feel free to let me know what you think. Oh, and the next mani might be ‘inspired by fashion’ (I’m thinking of something…) so let’s see how it goes! And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Boots 17 Navy Glint & Foils (Nail Fail)

Boots 17 Navy Glint plus FoilsHi there! I was trying out my Boots 17 Navy Glint nail polish for the first time the other day. And I hated it. The colour looked amazing in the bottle, but unfortunately not in real life.

I also had trouble applying the polish. Not only was the polish quite thick, the flimsy brush didn’t pick up much colour and I found it difficult to control it. The photo speaks for itself. 😀

To be fair, my polish bottle is a mini from a gift set and the regular size bottles may have regular size brushes.

Anyway, I tried to save the mani with colourful foils, but that didn’t work either. I opted for a combo of silver and hot pink foils which did distract from the polish, but still looked hideous.

I wore the mani for a day because I didn’t have the time to redo it. But that was it. Now on to the next nail adventure which – I promise – will be a more interesting one. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Boots 17 Supreme Shine Love & Barry M Confetti Bubblegum

Boots 17 Love PLUS Barry M Confetti BubblegumHi there! I haven’t prepared any product reviews because I’ve been really busy with work all week. So here’s another NOTD post. 🙂

I’ve worn this mani since Thursday and I think it looks very cute. The fuchsia base shade is called Love and it’s a Boots 17 Supreme Shine nail polish.

The fuzzy glitter topper (light blue and white) is called Bubblegum and it’s from Barry M’s Confetti range.

I’ve got quite a few of these fuzzy/feather/confetti top coats and I love them so much. If you’re bored of plain pink, orange or red nails, I recommend these fun toppers because they really make a difference!

Nail Of The Day – Boots 17 Lasting Fix Indigo & Glitter Mix

062015 Boots 17 Indigo PLUS glitter mixHi there! Here’s another quick NOTD post. I haven’t taken pics of my nails in ages because I haven’t done any spectacular manis lately. I also broke a nail (middle finger – again!), so I’m only showing you my ring finger and my pinkie this time.

I’m currently wearing Boots 17 Lasting Fix Indigo and a few sprinkles of a loose glitter mix which I bought online. I really like this mani – it’s happy and cheerful and the colourful glitter looks great on the purple polish.

What do you think of glitter manis? Feel free to comment. And thanks for checking out my blog!
