Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator

Hi there! Happy Thursday! Today’s post is about this Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator which was part of a gift set I treated myself to (half price, Boxing Day).

This exfoliator is quite something – it comes with its own leaflet which features a how to use section and a separate warning section.

But it’s not as scary as it sounds – since this is a micro-dermabrasion product, it shouldn’t be used in conjunction with retinol, AHA, BHA and other exfoliating products. It’s also important to note that this product increases the skin’s sensitivity to sunlight, so you should use a sunscreen!

This is a very powerful product which should be used once to twice a week and never on 2 consecutive days.

Make sure you read the leaflet in its entirety before you use the product – just to be on the safe side!

Alrighty – let’s get to my findings! When I tried this product for the first time, it reminded me of some of the harsher scrubs. It’s a very effective exfoliator! However, unlike those harsher scrubs, this product doesn’t cut the skin – so you won’t end up with spots all over your face. This exfoliator always leaves my skin feeling insanely soft. I’m blown away! I don’t have lines or wrinkles, so I can’t comment on any potential anti-ageing effect, but judging by how powerful it is, I am more than happy to continue using this product, and I will buy the full size, no doubt!

If you’re interested, Boots No7 Total Renewal Micro-Dermabrasion Exfoliator is available as 75ml for £11. Boots often runs 3 for 2 promotions on their No 7 products, so this might be something to look out for! In any event, if you decide to use this product, please make sure you read the leaflet and follow the instructions!

HAUL! New Products From Boots, No 7, Sanctuary Spa, Marks & Spencer, Fragonard, Olay, Westlab, Radox, Dead Sea & More

Hi there! Today’s post is about most of the stuff I bought since the post-Christmas sale started. I’m saying most of the stuff because I always forget a lot… OK, let’s take a look at the goodies!

Boots Skincare Treats The Discovery Collection – this was £10 on Boxing Day. I bought 3 of these. The 2 moisturisers are worth £25 alone! The set would have been great value for full price = £20, but it was the most amazing bargain for half price on Boxing Day!

I bought more face masks – but what else is new? Some half price Disney masks, some £1 masks from B&M Bargains.

The Sanctuary Spa Celebration Hamper – this was £20 on Boxing Day and it had the following goodies:

These look amazing!

And these too!

I bought a few more products from Boots’ discontinued Live + Be range. The cheapest item was £1, the most expensive item was £1.75.

A few more Live + Be products.

I also bought fragrances from M&S. The first 2 were £9.50, the third was £12.50. All of them are repurchases.

I bought a number of different Westlab bath salts, the one above was £2.99 at Boots.

I also bought more Radox bath salts. The one above was £2.25 at Sainsburys.

2 more Radox shower gels – these were about £1.30 (or so) each at Superdrug.

Fragonard Belle De Nuit fragrance – £20 at M&S, the Olay Face Wash was £2.09 at Boots, the the Botanics Face Scrub was 33p (£2.33 plus 200 Advantage points for buying a Botanics product).

I also rescued 2 Dead Sea Natural Mineral Soaps from the clearance bin.

And this is it! Quite a bit, eh? Well, what can I say. I’ll always be a bargain hunter! Thanks for stopping by today! 😊

HAUL! New Products From No 7, M&S, Boots, Superdrug, Herbal Essences, Radox, Imperial Leather, Garnier & More

Hi there! Today’s post is about the majority of the products I bought before Christmas (or so). I’m saying majority because I didn’t take photos of everything I bought, and there’s some stuff I know I’ll only remember after posting. Without further ado, here’s the stuff:

Boots No7 Skincare Stars The Star Of The Show – this incredible set has products worth £149, but it was £39 for a few days in the run-up to Christmas.

Marks & Spencer Discover Spiced Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Soft Iris – these fragrances are vegan and certified cruelty-free. The set was £6.65 (30% off offer), but even the full price of £9.50 is a total steal for 3 x 30ml. I already reviewed this set.

M&S Discover Water Jasmine, Fresh Lychee, White Coconut – I’ll review this set soon. Same price and amount as above, and all these fragrances are vegan and certified cruelty-free as well!

Radox Perky Peach, Radox Mint To Be – I’m looking forward to trying these shower gels, although I made a mistake with the minty one. I ignored the name and the mint leaves, and I somehow assumed it would be a lime scent… 🤦‍♀️ These 400ml shower gels were about £1.30 each.

Imperial Leather Wild Thing, Imperial Leather Shake Your Bambootay – these 2 cute 250ml shower gels were 99p each. I’ve been using them for almost 2 weeks now, and the review will be up tomorrow!

Herbal Essences Bio Renew Micellar Water & Blue Ginger Shampoo & Blue Ginger Conditioner – these are in use too, and the review will be up on Friday! Oh, and these were £3 each!

I also bought plenty of face masks – but they were too many to list. I’ve already tried and reviewed some of them!

Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream, Boots Live+Be Beautiful Connection Bath Soak – I bought these and lots of other Live+Be products as it looks like the entire range is going to be discontinued. Really sad (and typical because I just discovered these last month). I already reviewed the 2 products above.

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Lavender – I bought this when Superdrug ran a Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price promotion. They’re usually £4.99. I already reviewed this body cream.

Superdrug Vitamin Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Acacia Collagen (also £4.99) was the other product I got with the Buy 1 Get 2nd Half Price deal.

I bought 2 Superdrug Vitamin E Moisturising Shower Creams. I’ve never seen these before but it was time Superdrug finally made a shower gel with their iconic Vitamin E fragrance. These were £1.20 each (Better Than Half Price offer). Garnier Body’s Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter was a repurchase. This is a big 400ml, and it was £2.49 (B&M Bargains).

Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Hibiscus Extract was on a Save 1/3 offer. It’s usually £4.49 for a 465ml, but I paid £2.99.

And lastly, Boots Ingredients Glycolic Acid Toner, Boots Ingredients Niacinamide Serum and Boots Vitamin C Brightening Cleansing Gel. The first 2 products were £5, the cleanser was £4 but was actually free (3 for 2 offer).

The No 7 set was a bit more expensive (it wasn’t if you consider the actual value of the products in it), everything else was rather cheap! Have you tried any of these items? Would you like to try any of them? What have you bought recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 😘

Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil which I’ve been using since June.

This facial oil with jojoba oil and retinyl palmitate is one of the core pieces of the No. 7 skin care collection.

It promises to give dry skin the boot and to reduce the visibility of fine lines and wrinkles. The product page on Boots’ website says “turn back the clock” and “say bye-bye to dry and dehydrated skin…” Well, OK then!

When I started to use this facial oil, I didn’t believe that it would live up to its promises. I didn’t like it for the first few days, and I didn’t think it was rich enough. However, I kept using it, and after about 10 days, I found that it that killed off the 2 eczema patches which I’ve had for a few months now.

I’ve tried other products, and some did help with the eczema. But this facial oil has really gone the extra mile for my skin. I’m glad I continued to use it even though I was sceptical at first.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend this facial oil. It’s a non-greasy formula, so you might be thinking it’s not rich enough for dry skin. But it actually is rich and deeply hyrating. I will buy it again, no doubt!

Boots No. 7 Youthful Replenishing Facial Oil is available as 30ml for £23. Smaller 15ml bottles are usually available as part of seasonal gift sets.

Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream & Night Cream

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 2 of Boots’ most prestigious skin care products – Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream and Night Cream. I’ve been using these 2 products for almost 6 weeks now, and here’s what I think.

Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Day Cream with retinol and Matrixyl 3000 promises to improve lines and wrinkles for visibly younger looking skin in 2 weeks. Whilst I have terrible skin (very dry and moody skin, eczema, skin discolorations, milia and I get spots all the time), I have no wrinkles (Yay!) and only a few very fine lines on my forehead. I have to credit Olay for this – but this is another matter for another day.

Since I’ve used this No 7 day cream, I’ve noticed that those very fine lines are even harder to detect. This is a great result! Whilst the day cream doesn’t feel very hydrating when it’s applied (this did concern me when I started to use it), I can confirm that it hydrates my skin well. Another thing I’m happy to report is that this day cream plays extremely well with my make-up (Max Factor Pan Stik). I think this is a great day cream, and I’m looking forward to giving the full size tub a try!

Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Night Cream promises to smooth lines and wrinkles and to help skin recover from the day. I think this is a great night cream. As I said earlier, the few lines I’ve got are almost invisible, and I think this night cream deserves half the credit. I’m also happy with the hydration my skin’s getting from this night cream. It’s perfect!

I was hoping these products would also have a brightening effect, but unfortunately, they don’t. They don’t claim to be brightening, and this is perfectly alright. However, if they also had brightening properties, I’d consider them holy grail products! In any event, these products are truly amazing, and I would recommend them without hesitating.

I got these 2 25ml tubes as part of a reduced price No 7 gift set (which also contained a facial oil, 5ml serum, a micellar water and an exfoliating product – all for £10). The full size tubs (50ml) are £25 each.

Have you tried these products or would you like to try them? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

April Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the last day of the month. This means that I’ve now chosen my favourite products of the month. I’m not doing a big intro today, so let’s start with the TOP 3, and then we move on to the honourable mentions.

3rd place – Valjean Labs Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Face Mask

Whilst Valjean Labs’ Hydrate mask didn’t impress me, their Glow face mask is simply amazing.

Runner-Up – Skin Treat Unicorn Hydrating Sheet Mask

This face mask is not only the cutest sheet mask ever, it’s also very effective. And it’s £1 only at B&M Bargains!

WINNER – Boots No 7 Skin Care Products

Boots did a great job with these No 7 products. And the lip care turned out to be the unexpected star of the collection!

Onto the honourable mentions! Garnier’s Body Repair Anti-Dryness Restoring Lotion For Extra Dry Skin almost came in third (it was very close). Original Source did a great job with their Passionfruit And Jojoba Milk Shower Milk and their Orange Shower Gel. And I’ve been very happy with the cheap Hair Repair Rejuvenating Shampoo & Conditioner from Poundland!

Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try them? Which products have you been loving lately? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum, Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream, Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Lip Care

Hi there! Today’s post is about a number of Boots No 7 products which I’ve been using for several weeks now. A few months ago, I purchased 2 half price gift sets containing a mix of sample size and full size Boots No 7 products. I’ve now given these products a try. And here’s what I think!

Let’s start with Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Serum. Whilst this was only a 5ml sample size, it served me well for 2 weeks. I used this product twice a day as the 2nd step in my post-cleansing skin care routine and immediately after a few sprays of Nourish’s face mist.

I haven’t seen any dramatic results, however, this serum makes my skin feel considerably firmer – within seconds of application. I have noticed that the few fine lines I have on my forehead have almost disappeared, but I’m reluctant to credit this serum alone because I’m using a few new No 7 products. I guess they do work best when combined! Anyhoo, I like this serum very much, and I’m very interested in giving the full size version a try!

Now scroll down and read on to find out if the eye cream and the lip care are any good. 😎

Boots No 7 Protect & Perfect Advanced Eye Cream (15ml, full size) provides the perfect level of hydration. It glides on easily, it feels weightless, and it plays well with my foundation. I don’t think it improved how the skin around my eyes feels or looks. But to be fair, I’ve been using my holy grail Olay eye gel for the past few months right until I started to use Boots’ eye cream (which was around 4 weeks ago). I guess the skin looks and feels as good as it reasonably can! But I have no doubt that Boots’ eye cream helps maintain the skin around my eyes. And all in all, I think this is a really nice eye cream.

And last but not least… Boots Protect & Perfect Lip Care (10ml, full size). This is, without doubt, the most effective lip care product I’ve ever used. And I’m saying this as someone who’s actually not a fan of lip products in tubes. However, this stuff is simply amazing! This lip care glides on easily, it feels very lightweight, but it also feels extremely hydrating and nourishing at the same time. The first few times I used it, I didn’t even understand what was going on. It’s THAT good.

Here’s the best bit – after 2 uses on 2 consecutive days, this lip care fixed the cracks in the corners of my mouth. No other lip product and no combination of vitamin pills has ever fixed the issue. But this Boots product did the trick. I’m blown away! What else? This lip care doesn’t leave a shiny residue on your lips. So whilst it feels like the ultimate lightweight hydration bomb, it’s not visible on your lips at all. It makes your lips look velvety, but it doesn’t look like product. Oh, and this lip care tastes of vanilla, and you only need a very small amount of product which means that the 10ml tube will last for quite a while!

In summary, I’m very happy with these No 7 products. I’m also using the day and night creams at the moment, and I’ll review these products shortly!

Have you tried any Boots No 7 products? Or would you like to try any of these products? Feel free to comment, and thanks for stopping by!

Boxing Day Haul – Lots Of New Stuff

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the stuff I bought on Boxing Day + 1 present I received. I won’t be doing a big intro today. So let me just show you the stuff. 🙂

I got this The Body Shop gift set as a present. It contained 3 Almond Milk & Honey products + 1 body puff.

I bought this Boots No 7 Youthful Skincare Collection set. It was £10.

It contained 6 products – facial oil, serum, day & night creams, exfoliator, micellar water.

I only paid £5 for this Boots Extracts Sweet Mango set. Awesome value! The set contained 200ml body wash, 200ml body lotion, 70ml body spray, 50ml sugar scrub.

I bought a Sanctuary Spa toiletries set. It was £12.50.

The set contained 4 full-size products: hand cream, body wash, bath soak, body butter.

I also bought this year’s Boots Extracts limited edition toiletries collection – for £7.

This year’s limited edition is called Tangy Passion Fruit. The big tin contained 200ml body wash, 200ml body lotion, 200ml sugar scrub, and 75ml hand cream.

I also bought this year’s Boots Extracts “4 seasons” set. It was £10. I didn’t take a picture of the packaging because it was kind of bulky. Anyhoo… the set contained 4 body washes…

… 4 body lotions…

… 2 body butters, and 2 sugar scrubs. Awesome stuff!

This is everything I bought on Boxing Day. I managed to restrain myself – I only bought the bare necessities.

Have you been sale shopping? What did you buy? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!
