Nail Of The Day – Primark PS… Nail Polish Snow White & Barry M Christmas Tree

Hi there! Here’s another Christmas-themed mani I did recently. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark PS… Nail Polish Snow White (2 coats, although I could have gotten away with 1 coat as well). Primark has done a great job with this polish. This is the perfect white!

Don’t waste £15 on a mediocre white polish from one of the “salon brands”. If you’re looking for a great white polish, head to Primark, and pick up this little beauty for 90p!

Onto the glitter! The beautiful glitter top coat I used is Barry M Christmas Tree. It’s the ultimate Christmas glitter topper. I love it!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night & Stamping

Hi there! Today’s nail post is about my interpretation of a blue and silver winter mani.

For this look I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night (2 coats).

I used my unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate and 2 regular polishes (Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 280 Pure Silver and Orly Snow Cone) to stamp wintry images onto my nails.

I really love this mani! Blue and silver look great together, and the double-stamped images look amazing!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Time To Shine, PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow, Essence Come To Town Lametta Topper & Stamping With Pueen 44

Hi there! It’s after Christmas, but… here’s another Christmas Nail Idea. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 046 Shout Out Loud (pinkies, index fingers, thumbs), Primark PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow (middle fingers), and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Time To Shine (ring fingers).

I used Essence’s Come To Town Lametta Topper to add a little sparkle to the white base. And I used Pueen’s 44 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Love Elements collection) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize to stamp golden stars onto the green base.

I like this mani. It’s christmassey, but it’s not over the top. I also like the individual look of the mani – it’s not one of those standard manis that everyone (myself included) does again and again, year after year… How do you like this mani? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Fearne Devilish Diamonds & Stamping

Hi there! Today’s post is about another Christmas-themed mani I did a couple of days ago. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 280 Pure Silver (1 coat).

This polish looks gorgeous in the bottle. But it’s actually remarkably ugly because it’s very brush-strokey. So I had to fix my mani right there! I painted 1 coat of Fearne’s Devilish Diamonds over Rimmel’s ugly polish – and it saved my mani!

I used Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (the blue polish) and my new unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate to add a few wintry images.

I think this mani looks great. It was impossible to capture the real life beauty of this mani, but it still looks pretty nice in the picture. And yes, this mani is more wintry than christmassey, but I think that’s perfectly alright. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night, Stamping & Water Decals

Hi there! Today’s post is about another Christmas-themed mani I did a couple of days ago.

I started by painting my nails with Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night (2 coats).

I love this polish. The formula is a dream to work with, and the colour is stunning.

I used my new unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate and Orly Snow Cone (which is my favourite light blue polish) to stamp images onto my nails.

The stamping plate isn’t the best because the images didn’t transfer perfectly. However, no one gets that close to my nails in real life. So no one noticed. 🙂

I used water decals on my ring fingers to make the mani look more christmassey, and I think it worked! By the way, I’m sorry about those blue splotches in the image. I don’t know where they came from. It can only be a technical issue with the camera. It’s just unfortunate that I didn’t notice it until I wrote the post. And now I’m already 2 coats of polish into a new mani…

All in all I’m happy with this mani. Whilst the stamped images didn’t turn out to be perfect, I still think this mani looks really nice. I also love the blue + light blue + red theme because it’s different from all those standard red/green/gold and blue/silver manis.

What do you think? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet ‘N’ Spicy & China Glaze Pure Joy / Mrs Santa Nails

upload-1Hi there! I hope everyone’s still enjoying the holidays. Today is one of my favourite days of the year – Boxing Day! 🙂

Why? Because the big 50% off in-store post-Christmas sale is on! I’ll show you all the stuff I bought – in a few days. Now onto the mani!

I painted my nails with Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet’N’ Spicy (one coat). And I topped off my mani with two coats of China Glaze Pure Joy, a limited edition glitter topper from a few years ago.

Pure Joy is a densely packed red and gold glitter topper. But I still wanted a simple red base just so that I could skimp on the glitter topper.

Whilst I have dozens of red polishes, I only have 2 bottles of China Glaze’s Pure Joy. And I want to wear this polish again and again and again. By the way, Pure Joy isn’t just a Mrs Santa glitter polish, it’s also great for Halloween – if you’re going for a non-gory vampy vampire or devil look. 😉

Anyway, I really like my Mrs Santa nails. How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Essence The Gel Nail Polish 33 Wild White Days & Barry M Christmas Tree

christmas nailsHi there! If you read my blog regularly, you know I’m trying to complete the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge as a lifetime nail challenge.

However, I couldn’t find any christmassey challenges, so I’m putting the nail challenge on hold for a few weeks.

Now onto today’s mani! I painted my nails with Essence The Gel Polish 33 Wild White Days (one coat). I love this polish. And I hate it.

I love it because it’s opaque in one coat. But I hate it because the formula is a complete nightmare. It’s thick and goopy – and nail polish thinner doesn’t help. And it’s impossible to apply it without making a mess.

Anyway, I was going for a christmassey mani, so I applied one of my favourite christmas glitter toppers, Barry M Christmas Tree. This is a fantastic topper – it’s packed with glitter (I applied one coat of topper) and it dries reasonably quickly. I love it!

I’ve done the same mani last year but I’m OK with that because I love the white base and the christmassey glitter. I really love the look of this mani because it’s not the standard ‘Mrs Santa Red’. What do you think? Do you like this mani? Or is it too much glitter? Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel 60 Seconds 231 Blue-Eyed Girl & Essence Mountain Calling Snow Effect Top Coat 01 Snow Alert / Nail Art Challenge #11 Polka Dots

Rimmel Blue Eyed GirlHi there! Today’s post is about another mani I did recently.

This mani is my attempt at Polka Dots – which is challenge #11 of the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. I don’t really like polka dot manis, so this is the closest I’ll ever get to sporting polka dots on my nails.

Anyway, with this mani I was going for a blue and white Christmas look. Whilst I think red, green and gold are the typical Christmas colours, quite a few people seem to prefer blue, silver and white.

So for this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 231 Blue-Eyed Girl (2 coats).

And I used a limited edition topper – Essence Mountain Calling Snow Effect Top Coat 01 Snow Alert.

Does this mani look christmassey? No, not really. But I think it looks like winter. And the white glitter really looks like snow. And I actually like how this mani isn’t all red, green & gold. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Bourjois So Lacque 61 Vert Chlorophylle & Barry M Jingle Bells / Nail Art Challenge #17 Glitter

Christmas NailsHi there! I’m continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge, and I’m also doing Christmas manis this month. And today’s nail art challenge is #17 Glitter!

For this easy mani I painted my nails with Bourjois So Lacque 61 Vert Chlorophylle (2 coats). I really like this polish – it dries reasonably quickly and the formula is easy to work with.

The glitter polish is one that sat in my stash for quite some time. It’s Barry M Jingle Bells, a cute gold and red limited edition glitter topper from 2014.

So whilst this mani is far from being unique, it’s a wearable green/glitter Christmas mani that shouldn’t raise too many eyebrows. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know. And thanks for reading!

Easy Christmas Nail Ideas – Red, Green, Gold, Trees and Tinsel

Hi there! As Christmas isn’t really that far away, I thought I’d show you a few easy Christmas nail ideas. You can click the photo to enlarge it. And now let’s get started!

The first mani is one anyone can do. I chose China Glaze With Love and Astor Lacque Deluxe 880 Forest Green as my base colours. The gold glitter topper is Essie As Gold As It Gets.

Mani number two is another quick and easy one. The green polish is (again) Astor’s Lacque Deluxe 880 Forest Green. I teamed up the pretty green polish with Beauty UK’s White and a no-name iridescent white shimmer polish. The tree images can be found on Pueen’s 42 plate (Love Elements set).
122016 Christmas Nail Ideas
I really love the third mani. I called it Tinsel in the Snow. 🙂 The white base is Beauty UK’s White nail polish – again. The cute topper I used is Barry M’s Christmas Tree – a limited edition from 2014 (I think). This topper is packed with green micro, bar and hex glitter, red glitter flakes, golden holo hex glitter and silver holo stars.

I did these manis last year. But I’m sure I’ll be doing something similar again this year because green, red, gold, trees and tinsel are just perfect for Christmas-themed manis. I’ll probably do a few different manis as well, but I thought I’d share these manis with you before Christmas – just in case you’re looking for easy Christmas nail art inspiration.
