Empties – June 2018

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in June. I used a number of single use face masks, but I didn’t keep the empty sachets (I never do). If you’d like to read about my latest face mask finds, click here. Now, onto the big bottles and tubs! 🙂

1 Palmolive Be Sensual Shower Gel – this is a lovely shower gel that I’ll buy again. My husband used it too, so this one’s a shared empty.

2 Garnier Ultimate Blends The Gloss Reviver Conditioner – one of Garnier’s nicer conditioners. I’m in no rush to buy hair care products, but I would buy this conditioner (the matching and shampoo) again.

3 Radox Feel Rejuvenated Shower Cream – I love this shower gel! I need to pick up another bottle pronto!

4 Dr. Organic Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash (travel size) – this isn’t a great shower gel. I won’t purchase it again.

5 Grace Cole Fruit Works Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Butter – it was nice enough while it lasted, but I won’t be buying this body butter again.

6 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation!

7 Sukin Purifying Facial Masque – this mask was nice while it lasted, but I won’t buy it again.

8 Dr. Organic Organic Manuka Honey Body Wash (travel size) – I’m glad this one’s gone. Bye!

9 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragonfruit – this is a wonderful moisturiser. It’s perfect for even the hottest summer days!

10 Color Club Nail Polish (no photo, sorry) – this is one of the polishes from Color Club’s Bridal collection. I used it as a base coat. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I have a few more similar shades. I’m sorry I have no photo of the empty bottle. I threw it out by accident…

This is everything I emptied in June. I’m disappointed I only managed to finish 10 products, but I’m confident I’ll do much better this month (because I know I’ll have 5 empties alone by the end of this week). Have you tried any of the products I said goodbye to in June? What have you emptied last month? Don’t be shy – get in touch via the comments! 🙂

Empties – May 2018

Hi there! Happy Friday! It’s the 1st of June, so it’s time for my May Empties post. As always, I’ve used a number of single-use face masks. Whilst I don’t keep the empty sachets, you can read about my latest face mask finds if you click here. Now onto the ‘real’ empties!

1 Pacifica Island Vanilla Perfume – this was nice while it lasted, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. Having said that, I believe I have 2 Island Vanilla scented perfume roll-ons in my stash…

2 Superdrug Optimum Skin Illuminating Glycolic Overnight Peel – I really liked this one. However, Superdrug sells another glycolic overnight peel that gives me the same results and that’s half the price, so I’ll stick with the cheaper product.

3 The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry Eau De Toilette – I’m glad this one’s finished. I wouldn’t buy it again. I have another bottle in my stash, but I’ll pass it on to my teenage relative who I hope will enjoy it more.

4 B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz – this is one of my holy grail products! 🙂

5 Olay Hydration & Cleansing 2 In 1 Cleanser & Moisturiser Duo – this is a nice cleansing milk. I will buy it again, no doubt!

6 Christina Aguilera Eau De Parfum – this is a really nice fragrance. I might buy it again.

7 Palmolive So Tempting Shower Gel – this is a lovely shower gel that reminds me of Flower by Kenzo. I am happy to buy it (the shower gel, not the perfume) again. 🙂

8 TRESemmé Colour Revitalise Vibrant Colour Protection Conditioner – this conditioner is the epitome of “average”. I am glad it’s gone.

9 Treacle Moon Warm Cookie Dough Bath & Shower Gel – this shower gel is awesome. My husband enjoyed it too, so this one’s a shared empty. I’ll buy it again, no doubt!

10 Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Shampoo (travel size) – this is a decent shampoo. I might buy it again.

11 Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Toner – this toner is excellent. I’m happy to repurchase it.

12 Boots Extracts Sweet Mango Body Spray – Boots’ mango fragrance is simply the best. I’m glad a have a few bottles of this awesome body spray in my stash.

13 Radox Feel Exotic Shower Gel – I didn’t love this shower gel, and I won’t buy it again.

14 Classics Nail Polish Remover – this is the best nail polish remover there is for £1. I’ve gone through several bottles over the years, and I’m sure I’ll buy many more.

15 Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Smoothing Nourishing Lotion With Cocoa Butter – this body lotion is awesome! I’ll buy it again, no doubt!

This is everything I finished in May. I’m happy I managed to finish a few fragrances and skin care products – and that 900ml conditioner. 🙂 Have you tried any of these products? Which products have you emptied recently? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Color Club Blossoming & Nail Decals

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did not too long ago. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails (pinkies, index fingers, thumbs) with Color Club Blossoming. I love this polish – the colour is great, and the formula is lovely and easy to work with. Awesome stuff!

I used water decals on my ring and middle fingers. The decals are on the sheerer side, so my natural nails are visible from underneath the decals. Next time I’ll make sure to paint all my nails.

All in all I’m actually really happy with the mani. I also like the ‘fresh’ look of it. What do you think? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Color Club Blossoming, Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go, NYC 019 Perfect Day & Stamping With Pueen 73 / A-Z Nail Art Challenge W – Whatever I Want

Hi there! Today’s mani is another one I did for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. This challenge is called “W – Whatever I Want”. It’s my ‘joker’ challenge. 🙂

Onto the mani! I used these nail (art) products:
Color Club Blossoming (base colour pinkies, index fingers, thumbs),
Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go (base colour ring fingers, black stamping colour),
NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day (base colour middle fingers),
Sally Hansen Salon Manicure 310 Gilty Pleasure (golden stamping colour),
Pueen 73 stamping plate (from Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection).

I think this mani looks awesome. I love it! And I’m actually proud of it because I had no idea what to do with my nails, so I just grabbed a few random nail polishes and I started to paint my nails… and all of a sudden my nails looked great. 😀

How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know via the comments. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin & Color Club Covered In Diamonds

Rimmel Black Satin PLUS Color Club Covered in DiamondsHi there! Just last week I paired Color Club‘s ultimate flakie polish, Covered In Diamonds, with a pinkish lavender shade.

I knew it would be prettier on a darker base, so that’s why I used Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin as a base this time.

Unfortunately the photo doesn’t capture the beauty that is Covered In Diamonds, so you have to trust me when I say that this mani looks absolutely amazing.

I’ve fallen in love with flakie polishes again recently and I think I should definitely buy more of them and also try the other ones I’ve got (Ciaté, Poundland, W7, Nfu Oh). I’ll keep you updated on the flakie adventures! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender & Color Club Covered In Diamonds

NYC Lincoln Square Lavender PLUS Color Club Covered In DiamondsHi there! Here’s another quick nail post. A couple of weeks ago I found the most amazing bargain at Poundworld – three NYC nail polishes for £1! The polishes looked absolutely perfect, so I grabbed quite a few triple packs. 🙂

One of the new polishes is NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender. The soft lavender shade is quite pretty and I’m 100% happy with the quality of the polish (dries fast, only two coats needed).

However, I get easily bored of simple manis, so I added a few flakies. I couldn’t be bothered to apply several coats of flakie topper, so I left it at one coat of Color Club’s Covered In Diamonds.

Yes, I could have use a little hand lotion around the cuticles… but it’s too late now. Anyway, I really love the flakie look. It’s a lot more beautiful on darker nails, but I think it looks great on this soft lavender shade too.
