Empties – June 2018

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in June. I used a number of single use face masks, but I didn’t keep the empty sachets (I never do). If you’d like to read about my latest face mask finds, click here. Now, onto the big bottles and tubs! 🙂

1 Palmolive Be Sensual Shower Gel – this is a lovely shower gel that I’ll buy again. My husband used it too, so this one’s a shared empty.

2 Garnier Ultimate Blends The Gloss Reviver Conditioner – one of Garnier’s nicer conditioners. I’m in no rush to buy hair care products, but I would buy this conditioner (the matching and shampoo) again.

3 Radox Feel Rejuvenated Shower Cream – I love this shower gel! I need to pick up another bottle pronto!

4 Dr. Organic Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash (travel size) – this isn’t a great shower gel. I won’t purchase it again.

5 Grace Cole Fruit Works Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Butter – it was nice enough while it lasted, but I won’t be buying this body butter again.

6 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation!

7 Sukin Purifying Facial Masque – this mask was nice while it lasted, but I won’t buy it again.

8 Dr. Organic Organic Manuka Honey Body Wash (travel size) – I’m glad this one’s gone. Bye!

9 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream With Dragonfruit – this is a wonderful moisturiser. It’s perfect for even the hottest summer days!

10 Color Club Nail Polish (no photo, sorry) – this is one of the polishes from Color Club’s Bridal collection. I used it as a base coat. I wouldn’t buy it again, but I have a few more similar shades. I’m sorry I have no photo of the empty bottle. I threw it out by accident…

This is everything I emptied in June. I’m disappointed I only managed to finish 10 products, but I’m confident I’ll do much better this month (because I know I’ll have 5 empties alone by the end of this week). Have you tried any of the products I said goodbye to in June? What have you emptied last month? Don’t be shy – get in touch via the comments! 🙂

100% Cruelty-Free – Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash

Hi there! Today’s post is about Dr. Organic‘s Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash. I’ve already reviewed Dr. Organic’s Aloe Vera hair products, and if you’d like to read that review, click here. Now, without further ado, onto the body washes!

Dr. Organic‘s Aloe Vera Body Wash is average. The faint aloe vera and lemon fragrance isn’t unpleasant, but very forgettable. I’ve noticed that this shower gel isn’t very cleansing. It’s definitely not for your post-workout shower…

Dr. Organic‘s Manuka Honey Body Wash is disappointing. Whilst it smells wonderful from the bottle, the fragrance changes as soon as the shower gel hits the skin. I’d describe the fragrance as… warm plastic! And just like the aloe vera shower gel, this one isn’t very cleansing. If you’re sweaty, use something else!

All in all, I wouldn’t recommend these shower gels. I wanted to love them, but they’re not great. If you’d like to try them, Dr. Organic Aloe Vera Body Wash & Manuka Honey Body Wash are available as 75ml and 250ml. I paid £1 each for the small travel size bottles (special offer).

Haul! New Products From The Body Shop, Dr. Organics, Sukin, Garnier, Superdrug, Yes To, Skin Republic, Asda & Models Own

Hi there! I haven’t done a haul post since early January, so let me show you what I bought since then. 🙂

I bought 3 The Body Shop shower gels – Frosted Plum, Vanilla Chai and Frosted Berries. They were £2.50 each.

The Body Shop’s Atlas Mountain Rose Body Lotion was £2, the Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette was £5, and the Fijian Water Lotus Body Lotion was £2. I’ve already reviewed the body lotions – click here.

About 10 days later I placed another TBS order. This time I bought an Italian Summer Fig shower gel (£3), an Italian Summer Fig Eau de Toilette (£6), another Early Harvest Raspberry Eau de Toilette (£5), and a Polynesian Island Tiaré shower gel (£2).

I also picked up 3 Models Own flakie polishes – the names are Golden Shore, Red Sea and Aqua Splash. The polishes were £1.49 each (Superdrug, bargain bin).

I bought 2 Dr. Organic Body WashesAloe Vera & Manuka Honey. These were on sale (£1 each) at Holland & Barrett.

I also picked up a Dr.Organic shampoo & conditioner combo – Aloe Vera again! And I bought Sukin’s Purifying Shampoo. These 3 products were £1 each.

I bought Garnier’s Honey Flower Cleansing Milk + Toner. These products were on special (Save 1/3 at Superdrug’s), and they were £2.29 each. Superdrug’s Cocoa Butter & Vanilla Body Scrub was £1. It looks like the entire line is going to be discontinued. 😦

I fell in love with Caolion’s charcoal face soap, and I really want to try more products with charcoal. So I bought this massive 195g Yes To Tomatoes Soap. It was £4.99 (Holland and Barrett). I picked up 3 Superdrug face masks (Manuka honey, charcoal, Dead Sea clay).  These were 99p each, but there was also a 3 for 2 deal, so I paid £1.98 for these 3 masks.

I also got 2 Skin Republic Spoil Yourself With Bubbles sheet masks. They’re £4.99 each, but they were a free gift with purchase (free when you buy 3 skin care products). I received 2 sheet masks because I bought 6 skin care items. 🙂

Oh, I also bought 2 new duvet cover sets. These were £14 each (king size) and I picked them up at my local Asda store (the photos are from Asda’s web site). Yes, this isn’t beauty related, but I’m so happy with the good quality of these sets that I wanted to say… if you’re looking for new duvet cover sets, you need to swing by your local Asda – they have dozens of amazing prints!

Back to the beauty stuff! Have you tried any of these products? Or would you like to try any of these products? Feel free to let me know your thoughts. And thanks for reading!
