Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel

Vaseline Cocoa Oil GelHi there! Today’s post is about this Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel.

This body gel promises to nourish skin and to leave skin with a healthy looking glow.

I’ve been using this product for 2 weeks now. Whilst I think that this isn’t the most suitable moisturiser for this time of year, I’m still very happy with it.

I’ve tried this oil gel on dry and on damp skin. I prefer to use it on dry skin – but it works well either way.

The cocoa fragrance is simply amazing. It smells like… paradise! Wow!

I also agree that this oil gel makes my skin glow – so what’s not to love?

Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Radiant Body Oil Gel is available as 200ml for about £5.79. I paid £2.59 (better than half price offer).

Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion which I received a sample of. This product claims to moisturise skin for 24 hours, and it promises to significantly improve the condition of dry skin in just 2 weeks. Since this is a 10ml sample, my review is based on a single use of the product.

I’ve never tried Aveeno products before. In comparison to other moisturisers, this stuff is expensive! Also, a few people I know have mentioned that Aveeno products have a strong and unpleasant scent. But I’ve now given this lotion a try, and here’s what I think.

When I used the lotion from the sample, I was pleased to find that it hardly smells of anything. I later saw that it says “fragrance free” on the front of the sachet, so this explains it!

I’m happy to report that the 10ml sample was the perfect amount to moisturise my entire body. I found the lotion easy to apply, and I would agree that it feels somewhat hydrating. However, the lotion is quite tacky, and this was very noticeable. When I got dressed (this was around 20+ minutes after moisturising), my clothes stuck to my skin, and unfortunately, I could feel my clothes sticking to my body all day. This was very uncomfortable and insanely annoying!

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend the product. I know I won’t be buying the full size because there are plenty of body lotions and body butters that give me much better results without making me feel like I’ve rubbed glue all over my body. I know, everyone’s different, and the next person might say this is their holy grail product, so if you’re interested, Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturising Lotion is available as 200ml for £6.

NSPA Rich Body Butter With Moisturising Shea Butter

Hi there! Today’s post is about NSPA‘s Rich Body Butter with Moisturising Shea Butter. NSPA is a brand that’s exclusive to Asda. And this body butter was made in the UK (like NSPA’s entire product range). Onto the review! 🙂

I think this body butter smells amazing. The shea butter fragrance is sweet, warm and cuddly. It’s gorgeous, and I can’t get enough of it!
NSPA Shea Butter
This body butter doesn’t just smell great. It’s also a fantastic moisturiser. It’s rich and nourishing, and it makes my skin feel super soft. This body butter feels a little sticky, but it’s fine once it’s absorbed (which takes 2 or 3 minutes).

All in all, I think this body butter is wonderful. I would recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a nourishing body moisturiser. NSPA‘s Rich Body Butter with Moisturising Shea Butter is available as 200ml for £3.

Super Facialist By Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about a face mask that I picked up for £4Super Facialist By Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask.

This mask is aimed at people with dry or sensitive skin. And it promises to boost skin moisture levels and radiance.

The mask contains white willow extract, vitamin E, urea and marshmallow extract (!). And apparently these ingredients have hydrating, calming and replenishing properties.

How does it work? You’re supposed to apply the mask to your face and neck after cleansing and leave it on for 5 minutes. Then rinse with warm water. Done!

Is the mask any good? Yes and no. If I stick to the instructions, the mask leaves a residue on my face. It’s awful. I have to admit that it makes my skin feel soft to the touch, but it feels fake and the residue seems to dry out my skin.

However, I’ve been experimenting with the product, and I found a way to make it work for me. 🙂 I apply the mask first thing in the morning (usually on a Sunday), and I leave it on for 30 minutes. Then I follow with my regular morning routine, which means that I wash my face with a foaming cleanser and a sponge.

The result is… properly cleansed skin that feels sensationally soft. Whilst I wouldn’t say that the mask makes my skin feel more hydrated, I’ve noticed that the products that I apply afterwards seem to be absorbed faster and better than usual. And that’s actually quite awesome! 🙂

All in all, I’m happy that I found a way to make the mask work for me. If you’re interested, Super Facialist By Una Brennan Rose Hydrate Intense Moisture Mask is available as 125ml for £4 (TK Maxx).

100% Awesome – Olay Total Effects 7 In 1 Anti-Ageing Day Moisturiser

Hi there! Today’s post is about Olay’s Total Effects 7 In 1 Anti-Ageing Day Moisturiser. In a nutshell, this product promises younger and healthier looking skin in 4 weeks.

Well, the product promises basically everything you’d want an anti-ageing product to take care of, but I won’t list everything because I don’t want to type 5,000 words. In addition, I’m reviewing the product anyway, so I’ll tell you what’s important. 🙂
Olay Total Effects
I think this moisturiser is awesome – and here’s why. The pump bottle dispenses the perfect amount of product. One pump gives me enough moisturiser for my face and my neck. Brilliant!

The moisturiser feels great on my skin – and it makes my skin feel great. It might be a bit too rich for women with oily skin, but my dry and moody skin loves this product. My skin has been looking healthier and happier for a few weeks now, and I haven’t had any visible dry patches for over a month. I’ve also noticed that my pores are less visible. Awesome!

Whilst this moisturiser is rather rich and nourishing, it’s not greasy at all, and it sits very well under my make-up. And I’m very happy about this because the office air con has been running in desert heat mode for about 6 weeks now…

To sum it up… Olay’s Total Effects 7 In 1 Anti-Ageing Day Moisturiser is fantastic. I love the product, and I know I’ll buy it again. And I would recommend this product to everyone! This 50ml moisturiser is usually £14.99. I paid £2.99 (Bargain Buys).

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Zatik Beauty Essentials Passionfruit Cacao Organic Lotion Moisture Recovery

Hi there! Today’s post is about a product I started to use a few weeks ago – Zatik Passionfruit Cacao Organic Lotion Moisture Recovery. Zatik is a cruelty-free brand from Glendale, California. Zatik uses fresh herbs cultivated on USDA-certified organic farms.

This moisturiser (which is not only certified cruelty-free, but also vegan) was formulated with a blend of organic herbs, flowers, fruits, and essential fatty acids from oils which encourage skin softening and daily moisture protection. This product contains a number of awesome ingredients, such as caocoa butter, shea butter, safflower oil, jojoba oil, passionflower extract and vitamin E!

On the back of the box it says that, if you have normal skin, you’re supposed to use the moisturiser in the morning. And if you have dry skin, you’re supposed to use it mornings and nights.

This moisturiser doesn’t contain sunscreen. This means that, if I were to use it in the morning, I would have to apply a moisturiser with SPF on top of it. Since this wouldn’t make sense at all, I decided to use this moisturiser as my night cream.

Now that I’ve used this product for almost 3 weeks, I’m ready to review it. The first thing I noticed was the product’s smell. It’s not unpleasant, but it’s that kind of ‘meh’ smell that you somehow accept because the product is all natural and doesn’t contain any artificial fragrances. But there’s good news because the scent doesn’t linger! 🙂

In terms of hydration I would say that this product is alright. I think that it maintains the current state of my skin. However, I doubt that this product would help with dry skin. And I doubt that using the product twice a day would make a difference. Why? Well, it’s simply not that hydrating. Having said that, I think this moisturiser would be a lot more suitable for people with normal or normal to oily skin.

Whilst I am happy to finish this moisturiser, I don’t think that I would buy it again. However, I am very interested in trying more products from this brand!

Zatik Passionfruit Cacao Organic Lotion Moisture Recovery is vegan and cruelty-free. The product even carries the Leaping Bunny logo! The product is available as 50ml for $26 (Zatik’s web site). I paid £5 (TK Maxx).

Reducing My Oldies Stash – 100% Cruelty-Free – Superdrug B. B Cream Complete 6 in 1 Beauty Balm Light

Hi there! Today’s post is about Superdrug’s B. B Cream which I picked up from the clearance shelf (£2!). I’m sure the Light shade has been discontinued, but I saw a couple of Medium B.B Creams at my local Superdrug the other day. I assume that the formula is the same for the light and medium shades, so a review might still be helpful for those who consider buying the medium bb cream.
B. B Cream 6 in 1 Beauty Balm Light
So, how’s the product? Well, this is the greasiest moisturiser I’ve ever had. The light shade isn’t much too dark for me, but this product is just too greasy. Because of this I’m using it on my dry patches only – this works well. There’s one more thing I need to mention – and that’s the product’s smell. It’s weird. Not funky or off. Just weird. I think the smell is extremely unlikeable.

All in all, I don’t like this moisturiser. It helps with my dry patches. But I wouldn’t use it anywhere else on my face. Anyhoo, have you tried this product? How do / did you like it? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion with Shea Butter

Garnier Shea Butter LotionHi there! Today’s post is about Garnier’s Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter.

This body lotion is aimed at people with very dry skin, and it promises hydration that can be felt for up to 7 days after you’ve stopped using the body lotion.

Sounds cool. So how’s the product?

Well, I think this body lotion is great. It’s very rich, so it can feel sticky on my skin. However, the sticky feeling doesn’t last very long, so I have no reason to complain.

I also think that this body lotion is very hydrating. It’s plain awesome for dry skin. It even works on elbows. Fantastic stuff!

And there’s one more thing… this body lotion smells wonderful. The shea butter fragrance is sweet and cuddly. I love it!

I would definitely recommend Garnier’s Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter. It’s available as 250ml and 400ml. The smaller bottle can be yours for £1.49 if you keep your eyes peeled for special offers. 🙂

Olay Complete Day Cream

Hi there! If you read my last beauty haul post, you know I bought a beautiful Olay gift set with a compact mirror and a full size 50 ml Olay Compete Day Cream. I’ve said it before – I’m a total Olay nut. And it’s my mission in life to try all the Olay products out there. 🙂

I had this face cream before, but that was ages ago and quite some time before I fell in love with Olay’s Complete Day Fluid. So I had another look at Olay’s regular Complete Face Cream.
Olay Complete Care Day Cream 2
This face cream is for women with normal and dry skin. It has SPF15 which is great for those of us who don’t want to bother with ‘real’ sunscreen all the time. I’m very happy with how well this face cream moisturises my skin and how gentle it is. I’m not the most careful person and I already got the product in my eyes by accident on a few occasions, but it didn’t sting or burn at all. Great stuff!

Olay’s Complete face cream doesn’t clog my pores at all. My skin feels moisturised, but it can still breathe. It feels great on my skin. I love it! I also adore the light fragrance (the same one they use for the day fluid) which is sunny, yellow, youthful, pure and happy!

Whilst I still prefer the fluid formula, I will definitely buy this face cream again. I think it would be great to use it during the colder seasons when my skin is quite dry. Saying this, the cream is perfectly suitable for the warmer seasons – and if you’ve had it before, I’m sure you will agree.

Olay Complete Day Cream is available as 50 ml for about £10 – but there is always a half price or BOGOF offer somewhere. I think this is a great face cream and I would definitely recommend it.

The Battle Of The Aloe Vera Lotions: Garnier Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Body Lotion with Aloe Vera vs. Superdrug Soothing Aloe Vera Body Lotion

Hi there! It’s been a while since the last ‘which one is better’ post. However, I just realised that I bought these two body lotions with aloe vera very recently, so I thought I’d look into which one is better.

I’ve got Garnier’s Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion with Aloe Vera and Superdrug’s Soothing Aloe Vera Body Lotion. And now The Battle Of The Aloe Vera Body Lotions is on! 🙂
Garnier Aloe Vera Lotion & Superdrug Aloe Vera Lotion
Garnier’s Aloe Vera Body Lotion for normal skin is a very good moisturiser. It smells subtle, fresh and green. The lotion is fast-absorbing and non-sticky. It makes my skin feel elastic and nicely hydrated.

After using this body lotion once a day for three days my skin felt like silk. I could even get away with not using any body moisturiser at all for the next two days – and my skin still felt and looked great. This body lotion is for normal skin but it made such a difference to my dry and sensitive skin. I’ll definitely buy it again! 10 stars!

Superdrug’s Aloe Vera Body Lotion is a moisturiser for all skin types. It smells absolutely gorgeous. The lotion is fast-absorbing and non-sticky – just like Garnier’s body lotion. However, Superdrug’s body lotion is rather light which, I think, makes it more suitable for summer than for winter.

My skin feels nicely hydrated when I use this body lotion every day. But I really have to use it every day to maintain this effect. In my opinion, Superdrug’s body lotion is decent. But it wouldn’t be my first choice to ‘treat’ dry and sensitive skin in winter.

Verdict: Garnier’s body lotion doesn’t smell as nice as Superdrug’s, and Superdrug’s body lotion gets extra points for being BUAV-approved and cruelty-free (it carries the Leaping Bunny logo). However, because of its skin transforming powers (!) Garnier is the clear winner of The Battle Of The Aloe Vera Body Lotions.

Garnier’s Aloe Vera body lotion is available as 250ml for about £3 to £3.65 and 400ml for £5 to £5.50 – depending on where you shop. I got my 250ml bottle for £1.49 which is definitely good value. If you look for a bargain, the 250 ml bottle is currently £1.50 at Wilko’s.

Superdrug’s Aloe Vera body lotion is available as 375ml for £1.49. I spent 99p for this product and there is usually some kind of deal (usually 1/3 off) at Superdrug.
