February Beauty Awards

Hi there! Today’s post is about my favourite products from February. The post is a day late but hey ho… what can I do? I didn’t review that many products lately. But I’m very happy that I got to try and review 3 products which I ended up loving. And here they are.

3rd place – Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème

This Essano night cream is lovely! It’s rich and hydrating, but it doesn’t clog up my pores. It’s a great moisturiser.

Runner-Up – Creightons Keratin Pro Damage Repair Strengthening Shampoo & Conditioner

I didn’t expect too much from these cheap hair products, but I ended up loving them! I will buy them again next time I swing by the bargain store!

WINNER – Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited Body Lotion & Eau De Parfum
diesel-fuel-for-life-2
Diesel Fuel For Life Unlimited is a magical fragrance! No idea why this was a limited edition, but this is the best fragrance by far that Diesel ever made. I love the fragrance and the body lotion. True 11 STAR products!

And this is it for today. Thanks for stopping by! xx

Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème with organic rosehip oil, aloe vera, jojoba oil and shea butter. It is made in New Zealand, and it says that it’s vegan and cruelty-free – which is awesome! This night cream claims to moisturse and nourish the skin, to promote skin elasticity and a healthy complextion.

I started to use this night cream a few weeks ago, and I liked it right away. The rich formula is certainly deeply hydrating and nourishing – without clogging up my pores. It can be hit and miss with richer night creams but this one of the good ones. I’ve also used it as a day cream under make-up the other day – no issues here either. This night cream sat nicely under the foundation, and it played well with all the other products I used that day.

I can’t comment on whether it will do anything special to my complexion. I’ve only been using this night cream for a few weeks. Also, it’s not like I’ve never used any skin care before – I’m hardly starting with the worst possible skin!

In any event, based on my experience, I’d recommend this night cream – just make sure you’re not allergic to any of the ingredients and maybe do a patch test. If you’re interested, Essano Rosehip Moisture Restoring Night Crème is available as 50g. I’ve seen it for £15-£20 on different websites. I paid a ridiculous £6 (TK Maxx clearance).

Empties – January 2023

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in January. The post was meant to go up on the 1st, but work is still crazy. Anyhoo, let’s look at the empties!

1 Essano Rosehip Visible Lift Eye Crème – a decent eye cream, but not the most special one. I wouldn’t buy it again.

2 Boots Glow Pineapple Serum – this serum was nice enough while it lasted, but I don’t think that it’s repurchase-worthy.

3 I Love… Mango & Papaya Nourishing Body Butter – a nice body butter. But I wouldn’t buy it again as the fragrance started to bore me halfway through the tub.

4 Faith In Nature Aloe Vera Hand Made Soap (no photo) – this is an alright soap. Not bad, but not great. It took me a while to finish it as I always have several shower products in the shower, and this soap was never my first choice. I wouldn’t buy it again.

5 Poundland #6 Vit C Toner – this is an amazing toner! Vitamin C, glycolid acid, retinol… what more can you want? £3 for 300ml. An incredible bargain!

6 Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Conditioner – an all-time HOLY GRAIL product. I have plenty of these conditioners and shampoos left in my stash for years to come!

7 Oriflame Believe – such a lovely fragrance! I have another bottle somewhere!

8 Paco Rabanne Ultraviolet – this is a nice fragrance, but nothing I would enjoy wearing all the time. My husband liked this fragrance on me, but I wouldn’t buy it again.

9 Palmolive Naturals Pampering Touch With Coconut & Moisturising Milk – one of my all-time favourite shower gels. Too bad it’s no longer available. I have one more bottle in my stash though.

10 Astonish Bath Soak Soothing Deep Blue – the fragrance is a bit too masculine for me. I might repurchase it, but more for my husband than for me.

11 Westlab Himalayan Salt Cleansing Bath & Shower Gel – another all-time favourite shower gel. I bought 2 more bottles about 2 weeks ago. This shower gel is so special!

12 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Moisturising Facial Oil (no photo) – I liked this facial oil a lot! I wanted to buy it again but it’s been discontinued. What a shame!

I’m glad I managed to finish a few more products in January. The past 2 months have been remarkably bad for empties. Hopefully I can finish lots of products this year. Fingers crossed! And thanks for stopping by today!

Essano Rosehip Visible Lift Eye Crème

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Essano Rosehip Visible Lift Eye Crème for all skin types. This eye cream contains shea butter, rosehip and seed jojoba oils, vitamins A, B3 (Niacinamide) and E, as well as pro-vitamin B5. The packaging states that over 97% of the ingredients are of natural origin.

This eye cream promises what most eye creams promise. It says it will soften and smooth fine lines and wrinkles, firm the skin for a visible lift, even out the skin tone and restore a youthful glow. Use it like any other eye cream = simply dab a small amount around the eye contour area.

I’ve been using this eye cream for over a month now, and I think it’s quite alright. It’s a lot better than the eye gel I used before. This eye cream feels rich and nourishing, but it’s not greasy. I haven’t seen any actual youthful glow or a visible lift, but I like the hydration I’m getting from this eye cream. One thing though – this eye cream could smell better! It smells a bit like furniture polish. Fortunately, the scent isn’t strong, and it doesn’t linger.

In any event, I’m happy to continue to use this product. If you’re interested, Essano Rosehip Visible Lift Eye Crème is available as 15ml. I paid a ridiculous £3 (TK Maxx). On another note, according to the manufacturer, this eye cream is vegan and cruelty-free! 😍
