Empties – January 2021

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished last month. I used 11 single use face masks, and you can read about my latest face mask finds here. But let’s look at the bigger bottles and tubs…

1 Cellio It’s True Acai Berry Moisture Cream – a lovely moisturiser! I’d recommend it!

2 M&S Discover Fresh Lychee – this is a beautiful fragrance! I might buy the 30ml again – or I might even buy the 100ml.

3 M&S Discover Soft Iris – this was nice while it lasted, but it hasn’t wowed me, so I won’t buy it again.

4 Cutex Quick ‘N Go 100 Clearly Speeding – a decent clear polish. I would buy it again.

5 Imperial Leather Shake Your Bambootay Luscious Bamboo With A Fruity Twist Icons Shower Gel – I liked this shower gel. I might buy it again.

6 Gliss Total Repair Shampoo & Conditioner – this is a very good conditioner, and I will buy it (and the matching shampoo) again!

7 Boots Live + Be Awakening Glow Shower Cream – it’s too bad that Boots has discontinued the entire collection. I would have loved to have this (and other items from the same collection) again.

8 Makeup Revolution London Lip Hug Love Can Set You Free – one of my favourite lipsticks ever! This collection has now been discontinued, and I’m sad to see it go. I bought a few different shades from this collection, and I’ll try these asap.

9 Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love – I liked this lipgloss, and I can see myself giving other shades from this collection a try.

10 Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss 1 Baby Doll’s Favourite – not my favourite shade, but I liked the rich formula and the cute vanilla flavour.

11 Superdrug B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritz – one of my holy grail products. I have a few more bottles in my stash.

12 The Body Shop Amorito – one of TBS’s best fragrances – of course discontinued. This little fragrant gem smells like white chocolate and vanilla. I know I’ll miss it!

This is everything I managed to finish in January. I’m happy with how many products I was able to use up, and I think February will be a good month for Empties too.

Thanks for stopping by today! 😊

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love, Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 07 So Heavy

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 lipglosses that I picked up for half price at Wilko’s – Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love and Essence Plumping Nudes 07 So Heavy. These lipglosses promise plumper lips within seconds. I’ve been using these lipglosses on and off for a few weeks, and here’s what I think.

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love is a sheer brownish gloss. The shade looks nice on my lips, but I don’t care for the cooling and plumping effect.

Essence Plumping Nudes 07 So Heavy is very pretty! When I bought this lipgloss, I didn’t notice that it was packed with glitter. And I was actually quite disappointed when I realised it was glittery. But then I tried it, and I fell in love with the shade – which is the perfect plum shade for pale girls). The glitter is hardly visible on my lips, but it adds to the glossy look. Another big plus is that the gloss is pretty much opaque – like a liquid lipstick. Again, I don’t care for the cooling and plumping effect, but this gloss is great in every other way, so I’m very happy to use it!

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipglosses are available in a number of shades for £2.30 each at Wilko’s. I paid £1.15 each for the 2 shades I bought.

Haul! New Eye Palettes, Lipsticks, Fragrances, Nail Stuff…

Hi there! Today’s post is about some of the beauty stuff I bought over the past few weeks. To be more specific… all of these products were bought before the lockdown… OK, let’s have a look!

Essence Crystal Power Eyeshadow Palette£3. This palette and all the other Essence stuff is from Wilko!

Essence Ola Rio Eyeshadow Palette£3.50.

3 Essence This Is Me Lipsticks (03 Bold, 05 Legendary, 06 Real) – £2.30 each.
2 Essence Plumping Nudes Lipglosses (05 Bold Love, 07 So Heavy) – £1.15 each.
2 Essence Shine Last & Go Nail Polishes (27 What Is This Feeling, 47 Forget The Rules) – 80p each.
Essence Ultra Quick Dry Top Coat£1.70.

Marks & Spencer Vanilla & Woods Eau de Toilette£10.
Marks & Spencer Rhubarb & Peony Eau de Toilette£10.

Some of the Essence stuff was on clearance, so I can’t say whether your local store would have it. The M&S fragrances are usually £12.50, but they were on special, so I bought 2 of them.

Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? What have you bought (or been able to buy) recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 😘
