Nail Of The Day – Essence Out Of Space Stories 07 1000 Light Years Away & Stamping With MoYou London Sci-Fi 04, Sci-Fi 07 / A-Z Nail Art Challenge O – Out Of Space

Hi there! Today’s post is the last one for this week. This also means that Nail Week has now come to an end.

OK, for this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Top Speed 880 Black Star (1 coat) and Essence Out Of Space Stories 07 1000 Light Years Away (1 coat).

I started with the black Revlon base because I didn’t want to waste the sensationally beautiful Essence polish. 🙂

I decided it was time to break in a few new stamping plates – MoYou London Sci-Fi 04 and Sci-Fi 07.

The white polish I stamped with is Essence’s Stampy Polish which, unfortunately, has been discontinued.

I really liked this mani. I think I could have chosen a better (=smaller) image for the index finger, but I was still happy with the mani.

By the way, this mani is my interpretation of the Out Of Space challenge which is part of the A-Z Nail Art Challenge.

If you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link. Oh, in case you’re wondering… yes, I did purchase this stamping plate myself!

Nail Of The Day – MUA White Wash, Rimmel 60 Seconds 622 Boy You’re So Fine, Orly Basket Case & Nails Inc. Bow Street (Nail Fail)

Hi there! Today’s post is about another mani I wanted to do for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. However, the mani didn’t really ‘work’.

For this mani I painted my nails with MUA White Wash (white base), Orly Basket Case (pink base) and Rimmel 60 Seconds 622 Oh Boy You’re So Fine (milky purple).

The glitter topper is Nails Inc. Bow Street.

I also did some stamping, and I used my QA 88 stamping plate, Sally Hansen Insta-Dri 370 Uptempo Plum, and Essence’s White Stamping Polish (which, unfortunately, has been discontinued).

I think this mani is not very special, and it’s definitely not one of my favourites. It was just about OK for a weekend. Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Revlon 902 Craving Coral & Stamping With Pueen 73

Hi there! I think it’s time for another Nail Of The Day post. So here it is!

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon 902 Craving Coral. I don’t love the colour, but I bought the polish (years ago), so I have to use it every now and then. And that’s what I’m doing! 🙂

I used Essence’s White Stampy Polish to stamp a remotely floral (?) image onto my nails. Said image is featured on Pueen’s 73 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection).

I didn’t love this mani. The images are far from perfect. This was 100% my fault because I was in a hurry. But in real life the mani didn’t look too bad. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Underwater Nails Feat. Rimmel, Pueen, Revlon, Filthy Gorgeous & Essence

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did recently.

We had a few colleagues from France over at our office. I managed to dress properly (navy-blue suit, red and white striped top), but I couldn’t bring myself to wear plain red nails (yawn).

Since I was already dressed like a sailor, I thought I might as well just do a marine mani using the French national colours. And that’s exactly what I did! 🙂

And I used these products:
red base colour – Revlon 335 Mon Cherry,
blue base colour – Rimmel 231 Blue Eyed Girl,
white base colour – Rimmel 703 White Hot Love,

white stamping colour – Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish White,
blue stamping colour – Filthy Gorgeous Midnight,
red stamping colour – Revlon 335 Mon Cherry.

I chose images from three different stamping plates – Pueen 89 (shells), Pueen 91 (fish and corals), and Pueen 96 (anchors). These three stamping plates are part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure stamping collection!

I realise this mani looks quite busy – but I really love it! I also got quite a few compliments which was very nice! How do you like this mani? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin & Stamping With Pueen 44 / Nail Art Challenge #25 Inspired By Fashion

Hi there! Today’s mani is another 31 Days Nail Art Challenge entry!

This mani is my attempt at challenge #25 – Inspired By Fashion. And the fashion item that inspired this mani is a scarf of mine.

I’ve used said scarf as backdrop for a few product photos. If you’re interested, you can see the scarf here.

Now onto the mani! I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin (2 coats).

The stamping plate I used is Pueen’s 44 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Love Elements collection).

And I used Essence’s White Stampy Polish to stamp on the stars. 🙂

Whilst this mani turned out a little messy, I still liked it. What do you think? Feel free to let me know. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Manhattan Lotus Effect 67N & Stamping With Pueen 73 / Nail Art Challenge #6 Violet Nails

uploadHi there! Today’s post is about another mani that counts towards the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. The mani I’ve done is my attempt at challenge #6 Violet Nails.

I painted my nails with Manhattan Lotus Effect 67N. I like the purple colour. It’s not too dark, not too light, not too flashy… it’s just a great purple!

I didn’t want to do a glitter mani, and I didn’t feel like using nail stickers or decals. So I ended up stamping! Again! 😀

So… I used Pueen’s 73 plate (from Pueen‘s Stamping Buffet collection) and Essence‘s fantastic white Stampy Polish to stamp floral images onto my nails.

This mani turned out alright, I think. Sure, it’s not perfect. But keep in mind that, in real life, no one looks at my nails with a magnifying glass – so in real life the imperfections are hardly visible.

Any thoughts? Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Revlon 260 Bold Sangria & Stamping With Pueen 51

uploadHi there! Today’s post is the last post this week – so it’s the last post this nail week.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon 260 Bold Sangria (2 coats). I think Bold Sangria is one of the best dark purple polishes out there. Great quality, lovely shade! Thanks, Revlon!

And I used Essence’s white stamping polish and Pueen’s 51 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection) to stamp floral images onto my nails.

I didn’t like this mani because I managed to smudge all the images on my right hand. I think I moisturised my hands too soon after cleaning up around the nails with nail polish remover…

However, in real life the mistakes were hardly visible. Well, in real life no one stares at my nails and no one’s looking for mistakes. 😉 And I did get a few compliments on this mani, so it wasn’t too bad.

Like I said, this is the last nail post this nail week. I haven’t done a weekly recap post today, so if you think you’ve missed a post or if you’d like to see the other manis I’ve written about this week (or ever…), click here and scroll down. I’m back with a “regular” post tomorrow. So in the meantime… Happy Sunday!

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 310 Vintage Rose & Stamping With Pueen 93

upload-2Hi there! Today I’m showing you another mani I did a little while ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 310 Vintage Rose. I really like this polish. It’s almost a one-coater. And I love, love, love the wide and flat Revlon Colorstay brush.

The floral image is from Pueen’s 93 stamping plate which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection.

The white polish I used to stamp on the images is Essence’s white Stampy polish.

I think this mani turned out alright. I somehow managed to ruin the image on the middle finger, but all in all I think the mani looks OK.

Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night & Stamping

upload-1Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I tried in December. It was supposed to be some kind of a Christmas tree mani – but unfortunately it didn’t really look christmassey at all.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night (2 coats). I like this polish very much because the formula is easy to work with and this polish is almost a one-coater.

I used Essence’s brilliant white Stampy polish to stamp on the Christmas tree images. The stamping plate I used is a no-name plate.

I think this mani looked quite OK – but it didn’t really work out as a Christmas mani. So from this point of view it’s a partial fail.

Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Magenta Moves & Stamping With Pueen 74

Sally Hansen Magenta Moves Pueen 74Hi there! I’ve got a nail post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Magenta Moves (2 coats).

I love this polish. It’s almost a one-coater, it dries really fast, and the colour pops!

Initially I wanted to do a glitter mani, but then I opted for stamping.

I chose a remotely floral image from Pueen’s 74 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection).

The white polish I stamped with is Essence’s fantastic white stamping polish (they call it stampy polish).

I think this mani looks quite nice. Sure, I could have taken a little more care to ensure the images would go on perfectly. But these little flaws are only visible in the photo. In real life no one noticed. 🙂

Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading!
