Kina Cosmetics Pure Volcanic Facial Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Kina Cosmetics Pure Volcanic Facial Sheet Mask. This face mask promises to detoxify skin, to make pores appear smaller, to control sebum and to hydrate skin. On the back of the sachet it states that volcanic ash helps draw out impurities, and that the product contains nourishing botanical extracts.

You’re supposed to apply the mask to a thoroughly cleansed face, and you should leave it on for 20 – 30 minutes. Then you’re supposed to tap in the excess product into the skin until it’s been absorbed. Is the product any good? Read on to find out…

I’ve been using 3 of these masks, and I think they don’t do anything other than hydrating the skin. As someone who has chronic dry and moody skin as well as eczema, I shouldn’t complain about hydrating face care products. However, I’m not happy that this product doesn’t live up to its skin purifying promise.

In addition, I need to mention is that this mask is insanely sticky. So it’s best to use it on a stay-at-home day. Oh, and there’s one more thing… volcanic ash is the next to last ingredient that’s listed on the back of the pack. The last ingredient is fragrance!

I think this mask is probably alright if you’re only getting into sheet masks. However, there are many better masks out there. Kina Cosmetics Pure Volcanic Facial Sheet Mask is available as a pack of 10 masks for £7.99 (TK Maxx).

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse 7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Pac

Hi there! Today’s post is about Montagne Jeunesse’s 7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Pac with Dead Sea salt, sea kelp and lavender.

This face mask promises to draw out impurities and to open blocked pores for clear and soft skin.

I’ve tried this mask for the first time now, and I think I’m somehow familiar with it.

The mint green colour of the mask reminded me of 2 mud masks I reviewed (and liked) not too long ago. And the marine fragrance reminded me of 2 peel-off masks which I reviewed (and didn’t like) a little while ago.

However, this mask was still new to me. So… is this mask any good? Well, I didn’t love the marine fragrance (it’s too much ‘pond’ and ‘algae’), but I think this mask gave my skin a deep cleanse.

I also thought that this mask made my pores look smaller, so all in all I think this is a reasonable face mask that I would recommend to those who want an effective mud mask and who wouldn’t mind the strong marine fragrance. 🙂

Montagne Jeunesse’s 7th Heaven Dead Sea Mud Pac is available as a 20g sachet for £1 or as a 175g tube for about £6. This product is certified cruelty-free. It carries the Leaping Bunny logo!

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Sukin Purifying Facial Masque

Hi there! Today’s post is about Sukin’s Purifying Facial Masque. This mask for all skin types contains cleansing kaolin clay, as well as soothing aloe vera and hydrating rose hip oil.

The instructions are quite simple – apply the mask, let it dry and leave it on for 15 minutes, then rinse it off… and you’re done! 🙂

So how’s the mask? I think that this mask is quite alright. It doesn’t give me any visible results, but it makes my skin feel clean and soft. So yes, I’m satisfied that this face mask works!

However, I don’t love the fragrance – the mask smells like marzipan. If you like marzipan, you’ll love the mask, but the fragrance is just way too sweet for my taste.

All in all, I’m happy to continue to use the mask on a weekly basis. Sukin’s Purifying Facial Masque is vegan, cruelty-free and carbon-neutral. I paid £7.97 (well, I spent 797 store points).

100% Awesome – The Crème Shop Charcoal Lemonade Fusion Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about The Crème Shop’s Charcoal Lemonade Fusion Sheet Mask. This sheet promises to draw out toxins to make skin appear purified and clear. It also claims to have antibacterial and brightening properties.

How does it work? The instructions state that the mask is supposed to be left on for 20-30 minutes – or until it’s completely dry. Any excess serum should be massaged into the skin (face AND neck).

I always leave sheet masks on until they’re perfectly dry. Sometimes this can take an hour – but that’s OK. Sheet masks are for evenings, weekends and days off! I also don’t ‘waste’ the excess serum that’s left in the sachet. I just pop a compressed sheet mask into the sachet – the new sheet mask will then absorb the excess serum, and I get another sheet mask that’s dripping with serum for free!

So what about the mask? This mask is simply sensational. It gave me incredible results after a single use. The mask made my skin feel deeply cleansed and refreshed. And it made my skin tone look perfectly even and insanely bright. This mask has set new standards because I still cannot believe what a difference it made. 24 hours ago I couldn’t have imagined that my skin could look half as good as it looks now. I am completely over the moon!

I would recommend this mask to anyone who’s looking for a product that brightens skin and evens out skin tone. If you want instant results, this mask is your cheapest and most effective option!

The Crème Shop’s Charcoal Lemonade Fusion Sheet Masks are £4.99 for a pack of 5 masks (TK Maxx). Outstanding value! 11 stars!

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Cranberry Kiss Peel Off

Hi there! Today’s post is about a Christmas-themed face mask – Montagne Jeunesse Cranberry Kiss Peel Off.

This face mask is like every other peel off mask. Apply the mask, let it dry (for about 15 minutes), peel it off, and rinse off any residue.

Is the mask any good? I think this mask is quite alright. It does what it’s supposed to do, which is perfectly fine. But it’s not groundbreaking. I’ve had better face masks.

I’m also quite sure that I’ve had this mask before. It seems like this is one of Montagne Jeunesse’s older or even regular face masks that’s been repackaged.

Anyway, if you’re interested, this face mask is available for 90p at Primark. Montagne Jeunesse Cranberry Kiss Peel Off is also certified cruelty-free!

Anatomicals Farewell The Scarlet Pimplehell Deep Cleansing Mud Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about a face mask that I recently tried – Anatomicals Farewell The Scarlet Pimplehell Deep Cleansing Mud Mask. This mask is 1 of the 3 masks in Anatomicals’ Now You’re Ready To Face The World mask set. I’ve already reviewed the other 2 masks from the set, and you can read the reviews here and here.

I think that Farewell The Scarlet Pimplehell is a great name for a face mask. It sounds fun. And it sounds promising. I’ve tried this mask and I’m reasonably happy with it. It’s a fairly standard mud mask. It doesn’t smell very fancy, and its colour is grey. But it cleanses my skin nicely, and that’s the most important thing.

All in all I’m happy with Anatomicals’ Now You’re Ready To Face The World trio mask set. I’m pretty sure I’ll buy the set again. Anatomicals’ Now You’re Ready To Face The World trio mask set is available for £3 at Superdrug. I paid £2 only for the set (Save 1/3 offer).

By the way, this week is face mask week on my blog. This means that I’ll post 7 face mask reviews this week. I hope you’ll enjoy face mask week! Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Beauty Formulas Rejuvenating Glorious Mud Facial Mask

Beauty Formulas Mud MaskHi there! Today’s post is about this £1 Beauty Formulas Rejuvenating Glorious Mud Facial Mask that I found at Poundworld.

This face mask promises to remove dirt and excess oils from the skin’s surface and to absorb impurities. It also promises to unclog pores and to remove dead skin cells for a fresh skin glow.

Is this mask any good? Yes, absolutely! I think this is a reasonable face mask.

In the beginning the soapy fragrance threw me a little because I was expecting a chocolatey fragrance (yeah, my fault). However, the soapy fragrance is perfectly alright.

I’m also happy with what the mask does to my face because it makes my skin look and feel clearer.

My husband is equally pleased with this face mask. Whilst he thinks that the mask smells a little girly, he’s happy to use it once a week too. Awesome!

Have you tried this mask? If so, how do you like it? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading! 🙂

100% Cruelty-Free – Montagne Jeunesse Wild Strawberry Peel Off Face Mask

upload-1Hi there! Over the past few weeks I’ve reviewed quite a few Superdrug face masks. So I think it’s time for another Montagne Jeunesse face mask!

Now meet Montagne Jeunesse Wild Strawberry Peel Off with natural wild strawberry and rhubarb extracts.

This mask is a peel-off mask. You apply it, you let it dry for about 15 to 20 minutes, then you peel it off, and then you rinse off any residue.

How’s this mask? I think it’s alright. It’s just as good as any other peel-off mask.

However, I don’t love the fragrance. The rhubarb scent is quite strong, and the strawberry note is cloyingly sweet. I wouldn’t buy this face mask again – but that’s only because I don’t care for its fragrance.

If you’d like to try this mask, you can pick it up for £1 (give or take a few pence, depending on where you shop) at Poundstores, Boots, Asda, pharmacies, etc. This mask carries the Leaping Bunny logo – it’s certified cruelty-free!
