Boxing Day Haul – Lots Of New Stuff

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the stuff I bought on Boxing Day + 1 present I received. I won’t be doing a big intro today. So let me just show you the stuff. 🙂

I got this The Body Shop gift set as a present. It contained 3 Almond Milk & Honey products + 1 body puff.

I bought this Boots No 7 Youthful Skincare Collection set. It was £10.

It contained 6 products – facial oil, serum, day & night creams, exfoliator, micellar water.

I only paid £5 for this Boots Extracts Sweet Mango set. Awesome value! The set contained 200ml body wash, 200ml body lotion, 70ml body spray, 50ml sugar scrub.

I bought a Sanctuary Spa toiletries set. It was £12.50.

The set contained 4 full-size products: hand cream, body wash, bath soak, body butter.

I also bought this year’s Boots Extracts limited edition toiletries collection – for £7.

This year’s limited edition is called Tangy Passion Fruit. The big tin contained 200ml body wash, 200ml body lotion, 200ml sugar scrub, and 75ml hand cream.

I also bought this year’s Boots Extracts “4 seasons” set. It was £10. I didn’t take a picture of the packaging because it was kind of bulky. Anyhoo… the set contained 4 body washes…

… 4 body lotions…

… 2 body butters, and 2 sugar scrubs. Awesome stuff!

This is everything I bought on Boxing Day. I managed to restrain myself – I only bought the bare necessities.

Have you been sale shopping? What did you buy? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

Empties – December 2017

Hi there! Happy New Year, everyone! My first post in 2018 is about all the products I emptied in December 2017. If you read my empties posts regularly, you know that, every month, I use a number of single-use face masks and that I don’t keep the empty sachets. If you want to read about my latest face mask finds, click here. Now… onto the tubs, tubes and bottles… the big empties… the real empties!

1 Olay Total Effects 7 In 1 Day Moisturiser – this is a fantastic moisturiser. I will buy it again, no doubt!

2 NYC In A Minute 202 Grand Central Station – this is one of the best clear polishes. I emptied one last month, and I emptied one this month. I’m really getting on top of my part-used clear polishes!

3 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail foundation!

4 The Body Shop Vanilla Eau De Toilette – I loved the original TBS Vanilla, but this stuff is just average. I do have a few more bottles in various states of empty. I hope my teenage relative or someone at work wants them…

5 Palmolive Aroma Moments Feel Good – this shower gel is wonderful. Happy to buy it again!

6 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care All Over Body Cream – this is a lovely moisturiser. It smells divine and it’s not sticky at all which makes it the perfect moisturiser for whenever you need to get ready in a hurry. Plus: This is a huge 475ml tub which is £2.99 only – and there’s usually a buy 1 get 2nd half price offer on SD Vitamin E products as well! 🙂

7 Gliss Ultimate Colour Conditioner – this is a good conditioner. I’ll buy it (+ the matching shampoo) again.

8 Radox Uplifting – this is a wonderful grapefruit shower gel. I will buy it again!

9 Classics Nail Polish Remover – 400ml for £1. Awesome stuff! I have a few more bottles, and I’ll continue to stock up on this nail polish remover.

10 Garnier Intensive 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion With Shea Butter – this is a lovely body lotion. It’s nourishing and it smells gorgeous. Happy to buy it again!

11 Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 52S Soft Nude – this lip gloss was awesome. I’ve got a few more of these glosses (different colours), and I’ll review them soon!

12 My Little Pony Rainbow Dash Shower Gel – this travel-sized shower gel was part of a gift set. The shower gel was nice, and I’m sure I’ll buy MLP branded toiletries again soon!

13 Boots Essentials Cucumber Facial Scrub – this scrub was really good. I’ll buy it again!

This is what I emptied in December. I was hoping I’d be finishing a few more products, but it wasn’t meant to be. Ah well, so I have a few more empties this month. 🙂

One more thing… I finished 191 products in 2017. Those 191 products are…
41 shower and bath gels,
31 body and hand moisturisers,
22 fragrances (fragranced body mists included),
16 conditioners and deep conditioners (I don’t count shampoos – I’ve explained this here),
16 nail polishes,
11 face creams and lotions,
6 face serums,
6 face washes and cleansers,
5 Max Factor Pan Stiks
4 body scrubs,
4 face scrubs,
4 toners,
4 foot creams,
4 nail polish removers,
4 lip balms and lip glosses,
4 eyeliner pencils,
3 B. Confident Hyaluronic Acid Facial Spritzes,
2 eye creams,
2 glycolic peels,
2 face mask tubes (I didn’t count single-use face masks).
Not bad, eh?

Anyway… Happy New Year, everyone! 🙂

3rd place – Daily Defense Moisturizing Shampoo & Conditioner With Argan Oil

Daily Defense’s Argan Oil hair products are amazing. Just wow! I’ll buy them again, no doubt.

I love Ekél’s Grape Natural Clean Peeling Gel. I already bought 2 more Ekél products because I love this product so much.

WINNER – Olay Essentials Complete Care Multiradiance Moisturising Lotion

Olay’s Multiradiance Moisturising Lotion is simply wonderful. It makes my skin look and feel refreshed, and it smells like… a summer morning. Awesome stuff!

Now onto the honourable mentions! I think J Lo’s Live Luxe fragrance is really nice. Garnier’s Intense 7 Days Ultra-Replenishing Lotion with Shea Butter is very good, and I’m sure it’ll serve me well this autumn and winter. And Boots’ Essentials Cucumber products were a fantastic surprise. If you’ve never tried Boots’ own brand cucumber products, you need to change that!

Beauty Haul – Sleek Palettes A New Day, All Night Long & Enchanted Forest, Olay Anti-Wrinkle Gift Set

Hi there! Sleek launched two new palettes in February – A New Day and All Night Long. So I was waiting for the next 3 for 2 deal to get my hands on these two palettes and the Enchanted Forest palette from last autumn. Both Boots and Superdrug run a 3 for 2 promotion at the moment – that’s why these three palettes are mine now! 🙂
Sleek Haul 1
Now let’s have a closer look at the A New Day palette below. It bursts with wearable neutral shades. I love it!
Sleek Haul A New Day 1
The All Night Long palette below is just as pretty as the A New Day palette. It’s full of very wearable eyeshadows. Perfect!
Sleek Haul All Night Long 1
I’ve been lusting after the Enchanted Forest palette for a few months now. I know it’s not an expensive palette. But considering all the beauty stuff I’ve got, I couldn’t justify buying more palettes. However, a 3 for 2 offer is my licence to go nuts. 🙂 Anyway, isn’t the Enchanted Forest palette incredibly pretty?
Sleek Haul Enchanted Forest 1
And the super star of my shopping spree is Olay’s Anti-Wrinkle gift set. It contains Olay’s Firm & Lift Day Cream (50ml = full size) and a pocket mirror. This gift set was £5 only at Tesco’s!
Olay Gift Set 2
I haven’t used these products yet. But as soon as I’ve tried them, I’ll review them all. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!

My New Tokidoki MakeUp Bag

Hi there! Today’s post is a really short one. But I had to show you my new make-up bag which I bought for half price (Boots, £4) on Boxing Day. It’s a cute Tokidoki cosmetic bag which features Donutella, Donutino and two of the three Sprinklettes. And it’s got an all-over print featuring lots of different characters – including my favourite, SANDy!
Tokidoki MakeUp Bag 1
The cosmetic bag is medium-sized (about 18 cm x 8 cm) and all the cosmetics I need (define ‘need’…) have enough space in there. No more ‘stuff being beaten up by other stuff’! 😀 I bought another Tokidoki cosmetic bag, but I seem to have misplaced it. I’ll let you know when I find the other one which is just as cute!

Cute Necklaces – Strawberry’s Multi-Owl Necklace

Hi there! I’m sorry I’ve been absent all week. I was too busy with work. I’m so glad I’m not working tomorrow, so I’ll be having some quality time this weekend. 🙂 And to celebrate the happy 48 hours that await, I’ll show you my cute multi-owl necklace. It’s really cute, eh? It’s another Claire’s necklace. I don’t remember how much I paid for it, but I’m pretty sure I bought it for half price.
Necklaces
What I really like about this necklace is that’s got six cute little owls (they’re about 3cm tall). I can’t wear this necklace to work because, well, look at it! 😀 But I love to wear it in my own time and I think it looks great with with random black or navy tops because the owls really stand out.

Any random cuteness you want to share? Let me know, because I love cute things!

Cute Necklaces – Strawberry’s Owl and Melon Necklaces

Hi there! Today’s post is not about beauty, toiletries or skin care, but about two of my favourite necklaces. I have lots of necklaces – mostly cute ones – but also a few grown-up ones. But let’s start with the fun ones. 🙂

The necklace on the left is basically a super cute little owl that’s ‘hanging’ from a branch. I bought it years ago – at Claire’s Accessories. But I still love to wear it.
Necklaces
The necklace on the right is another one I bought ages ago – but this one’s from Accessorize. I really love my melon (slice) necklace. It’s cute, but it’s not over the top. And I love to wear it to work.

What do you think? How cute are these two necklaces? And do you have any cute (cheap) necklaces or bracelets etc. which you’ve had for ages and which you’re still wearing? 🙂
