Nail Of The Day – Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ion & Stamping With Sugar Bubbles 031

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a little while ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Ion (3 coats). This is a terrible polish. The formula is chalky, the polish takes ages to dry, the polish is prone to chipping, and the colour is just awful. 😧

Nail colours like this one always look best when you see as little as possible of them. And that’s why I decided to stamp!

I used the super beautiful Sugar Bubbles 031 stamping plate. The dark blue polish I stamped with is Filthy Gorgeous Midnight.

Whilst I didn’t love the mani, I think it looked alright. But I do love marine manis, and I think the sea, beach and flip flops theme fits the season. 🙂

Another thing: If you’re wondering how stamping works, I’ve done a tutorial on everything you need to know  – and everything I wish I had known when I started to stamp. Don’t worry, you’ll figure out stamping in an hour, but the tutorial will answer all the questions that you will have about stampers, scrapers, polishes, stamping plates, extra stuff you might need and everything else really! The tutorial is here.

And I also did a post on how I made my own stamping polish. This post can be found here.

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 170 Coastal Surf, Revlon Colorstay 290 Midnight, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova & Stamping With Pueen 81

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did recently.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 170 Coastal Surf (middle and ring fingers, 2 coats) and Revlon Colorstay 290 Midnight (pinkies, index fingers, thumbs, 2 coats).

The glitter polish I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova.

I also used Pueen‘s 81 stamping plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Buffet Leisure collection). The dark blue polish I stamped with is Filthy Gorgeous Midnight.

I think this mani was quite alright. For some reason I couldn’t make the glitter pop in the photos, but in real life it looked cute and sparkly!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Fearne Devilish Diamonds & Stamping

Hi there! Today’s post is about another Christmas-themed mani I did a couple of days ago. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 280 Pure Silver (1 coat).

This polish looks gorgeous in the bottle. But it’s actually remarkably ugly because it’s very brush-strokey. So I had to fix my mani right there! I painted 1 coat of Fearne’s Devilish Diamonds over Rimmel’s ugly polish – and it saved my mani!

I used Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (the blue polish) and my new unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate to add a few wintry images.

I think this mani looks great. It was impossible to capture the real life beauty of this mani, but it still looks pretty nice in the picture. And yes, this mani is more wintry than christmassey, but I think that’s perfectly alright. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Essence Out Of Space Stories 06 We Will Spock You & MoYou London Doodles 07 / A-Z Nail Art Challenge U – Underwater

Hi there! Today’s post is about another mani that I did for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge. This mani is my Underwater mani.

I started by painting my nails with Essence Out Of Space Stories 06 We Will Spock You. This isn’t the greatest silver holo polish, but it does the job.

I used MoYou London’s Doodles 07 plate and Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (the dark blue polish I stamped with) to complete this mani.

I’m happy with this mani. I know I did a very similar mani not too long ago – but I just love holo + cuteness + all things marine. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to get in touch. By the way, if you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link.

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani that I did recently. A mani that I’m quite proud of! And with this mani I’ve also completed the A-Z Nail Art Summer Challenge. Yeah!

OK, so for this mani I painted my nails with Sinful Colors Blue La La (2 coats).

The stamping plate I chose is Sugar Bubbles SB 031. This stamping plate bursts with summery images. It’s the ultimate ‘day at the beach’ stamping plate.

The 2 stamping colours I used are Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (dark blue) and Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (gold).

I love how this mani turned out. I love it! Do you agree? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Sinful Colors Blue La La & Stamping With Pueen 93

Hi there! Today’s post is a short Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Sinful Colours Blue La La. I really like this shade of blue. It’s cute and cool!

The stamping plate I chose is Pueen’s 93 plate (which is available as part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure collection).

And the blue polish I stamped with is Filthy Gorgeous Midnight. It’s not a “real” stamping polish,  but it stamps perfectly.

I think this mani turned out OK. It’s not my favourite, but I couldn’t come up with a more creative mani. I also didn’t want to do another underwater mani just yet. Ah well, maybe next time. 🙂

Anyway, feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Underwater Nails Feat. Rimmel, Pueen, Revlon, Filthy Gorgeous & Essence

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did recently.

We had a few colleagues from France over at our office. I managed to dress properly (navy-blue suit, red and white striped top), but I couldn’t bring myself to wear plain red nails (yawn).

Since I was already dressed like a sailor, I thought I might as well just do a marine mani using the French national colours. And that’s exactly what I did! 🙂

And I used these products:
red base colour – Revlon 335 Mon Cherry,
blue base colour – Rimmel 231 Blue Eyed Girl,
white base colour – Rimmel 703 White Hot Love,

white stamping colour – Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish White,
blue stamping colour – Filthy Gorgeous Midnight,
red stamping colour – Revlon 335 Mon Cherry.

I chose images from three different stamping plates – Pueen 89 (shells), Pueen 91 (fish and corals), and Pueen 96 (anchors). These three stamping plates are part of Pueen’s Buffet Leisure stamping collection!

I realise this mani looks quite busy – but I really love it! I also got quite a few compliments which was very nice! How do you like this mani? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Pueen, Rimmel, Revlon, W7, Orly & Filthy Gorgeous / Nail Art Challenge #21 Inspired By A Colour

Pueen 72Hi there! Today’s post is another Nail Of The Day post. And this mani is another one that counts towards the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge.

So today’s mani is my entry for challenge #21 Inspired By A Colour. Obviously, this colour is blue. 🙂

I painted my thumb, middle finger and pinky with Rimmel 60 Seconds 231 Blue Eyed Girl (2 coats).

And I painted my index and ring fingers with Rimmel Salon Pro 636 Hooray Henry (2 coats).

Then I applied one coat of W7 96 Mosaic to my accent nail (ring finger).

The images I stamped on are from Pueen’s 72 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection).

And I used the following nail polishes to stamp on the images:
Orly Snowcone (pinky and thumb),
Revlon Brilliant Strength 110 Hypnotize (middle finger),
Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (index finger)

I think this mani turned out great. I like the colours that I picked, I love the glitter accent, and I think the images are almost perfect. Do you agree? Feel free to tell me what you think. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Essence The Gel Nail Polish 33 Wild White Days, B. Complete 154 Brit, Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap, Victoria & Stamping With MoYou London Doodles 07

072016 Underwater ManiHi there! This is another mani I did recently. I painted my nails with Essence The Gel Nail Polish 33 Wild White Days (pinky), Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap, Victoria (ring and middle fingers), and B. Complete 154 Brit (index finger, thumb).

I didn’t know what to do with the white & blue mani – I didn’t feel inspired at all. So in the end I opted for an underwater mani.

I used Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish in White (ring and index finger, thumb) and Filthy Gorgeous Midnight (pinky, middle finger) to stamp on images from Moyou London’s Doodles 07 plate.

Unfortunately I smudged the image on my pinky. Not sure how it happened. But all in all I like this mani. In regards to the polishes I used, I found the Rimmel polish to be amazing. The formula was perfect and it applied like a charm. Brilliant!

The B. polish wasn’t great. It took ages to dry and I had to apply three coats. The B. polish was also prone to chipping, so within 24 hours I had to ‘fix’ all the nails I painted with this polish. Not great. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the B. polish didn’t stain at all when I removed it. The white Essence polish is alright. It really is opaque in two coats. But it takes a while to dry and the formula is on the goopy side.

Feel free to comment if you wish. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – MUA White Wash & Stamping

112015 MUA White Wash plus Stamping111Hi there! I’ve been looking for a nice and opaque white nail polish for a while. And after reading a few reviews I bought MUA White Wash.

I think White Wash is quite good. It didn’t take long to dry and two coats were sufficient for perfect white nails. Good job, MUA!

Now what do you do with white nails? You stamp! 😀

But before I got to work with my stamping kit, I tried to add a touch of glamour with a no-name iridescent white shimmer polish.

Then I selected a few simple floral images from different no-name stamping plates which I stamped on with Filthy Gorgeous Midnight. Midnight is a great polish for stamping – but I’m sure you can see that. 🙂
