Nail Of The Day – Primark Holler & Glow Pink Unicorn, Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin, Ciaté Putting On The Ritz & Stamping With MoYou London Suki 16

Hi there! Happy Monday! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark Holler & Glow Pink Unicorn (pinkies, ring fingers, 2 coats). This polish is described as a long wear polish. And guess what, it is! I “use” my nails a lot, and I only had very minor tip wear after 3 days. Truly impressive stuff!

I used Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin (2 coats) on my middle and index fingers and my thumbs. This is supposed to be a long-lasting polish too, but I had to fill in the tips every day.

For the images I used MoYou London‘s Suki 16 plate and (since it was right there) Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin.

The gold glitter topper I used is the gorgeous Ciaté Putting On The Ritz which has been sititing in my stash for ages. Yes, I regret not trying it sooner!

I liked this mani. Since I had zero inspiration, it was supposed to be a “filler mani”, but it turned out much better than expected.

What nail polish are you wearing at the moment? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 066 Cranberry Zest & Accessorize Bewitched

Hi there! This is another mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 066 Cranberry Zest (2 coats). This is a gorgeous colour. It reminds me of Revlon’s Cherries In The Snow!

When I painted my nails, I realised that this polish is one of Rimmel’s scented polishes. I think scented polishes usually smell awful, but this (cranberry-scented) one was actually quite alright.

The flakie top coat I used is Accessorize Bewitched. This is a low quality top coat. I had to apply 2 thick coats to achieve an acceptable finish.

Having said that, I do think that this mani looked cute. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 702 Marshmallow Heaven & Essence Glamaxy Far Far Away

Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 702 Marshmallow Heaven (2 easy coats).

I love these milky purple shades. Of all the nail colours (and finishes) out there, “milky purple” is my favourite nail colour.

I also used one one of my favourite top coats, Essence Glamaxy Far Far Away (1 coat). This is a gorgeous rainbow flakie top coat. It doesn’t photograph well, but you can catch a glimpse of its incredible colour-shifting beauty in this photo.

I really liked this mani. It was a simple mani, it was super easy to do, but it was very eye-catching!

Nail Of The Day – Essence Colour Boost 04 Instant Love & Essence Glamaxy Top Coat 34 Glamaxy Far, Far Away / A-Z Nail Art Challenge X – X-Plain To Me Why You’re Doing Red Nails Again

Hi there! Today’s post is the last one for this week. This means that Nail Week comes to an end as well.

For this mani I painted my nails with Essence Colour Boost 04 Instant Love.

This polish is a true one-coater. Great quality! Essence was stupid to discontinue the entire Colour Boost collection.

The top coat I used is the one and only Essence Glamaxy 34 Glamaxy Far, Far Away.

This is the most beautiful flakie topper. No matter which base colour you choose, this flakie topper will always look good. Too bad that Essence discontinued this gem as well.

I’ve done this mani for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge which I’m doing on my own terms. This mani is for the X-Plain To Me Why You’re Doing Red Nails Again challenge.

Now let me explain why I’m doing red nails again… the reason is that I have too many red nail polishes. I think red is one of the most boring nail colours, and that’s why I tend to neglect the red polishes in my stash. So this challenge provided the perfect opportunity to do red nails. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Astor Lacque Deluxe 875 Electric Blue & Essence Glamaxy Top Coat 34 Glamaxy Far, Far Away / Nail Art Challenge #31 Recreate A Favourite – Blue Nails

Hi there! Today’s Nail Of The Day post is about a simple mani I did recently.

For this mani I painted my nails with Astor Lacque Deluxe 875 Electric Blue (2 coats). I love this polish. The formula is a dream and the colour is amazing.

The cute flakie topper is Essence Glamaxy Top Coat 34 Glamaxy Far, Far Away. I bought this topper recently, and I’m glad I did!

I really liked this mani. It was a very simple mani, but it was really pretty.

With this mani I’ve also completed challenge #31 of the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. Awesome! However, I might redo two more challenges – galaxy nails and glitter nails! 🙂

How do you like this mani? Do you love flakie top coats? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. Thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin & Color Club Covered In Diamonds

Rimmel Black Satin PLUS Color Club Covered in DiamondsHi there! Just last week I paired Color Club‘s ultimate flakie polish, Covered In Diamonds, with a pinkish lavender shade.

I knew it would be prettier on a darker base, so that’s why I used Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin as a base this time.

Unfortunately the photo doesn’t capture the beauty that is Covered In Diamonds, so you have to trust me when I say that this mani looks absolutely amazing.

I’ve fallen in love with flakie polishes again recently and I think I should definitely buy more of them and also try the other ones I’ve got (Ciaté, Poundland, W7, Nfu Oh). I’ll keep you updated on the flakie adventures! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender & Color Club Covered In Diamonds

NYC Lincoln Square Lavender PLUS Color Club Covered In DiamondsHi there! Here’s another quick nail post. A couple of weeks ago I found the most amazing bargain at Poundworld – three NYC nail polishes for £1! The polishes looked absolutely perfect, so I grabbed quite a few triple packs. 🙂

One of the new polishes is NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender. The soft lavender shade is quite pretty and I’m 100% happy with the quality of the polish (dries fast, only two coats needed).

However, I get easily bored of simple manis, so I added a few flakies. I couldn’t be bothered to apply several coats of flakie topper, so I left it at one coat of Color Club’s Covered In Diamonds.

Yes, I could have use a little hand lotion around the cuticles… but it’s too late now. Anyway, I really love the flakie look. It’s a lot more beautiful on darker nails, but I think it looks great on this soft lavender shade too.
