Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did.

For this mani I painted my nails with Ciaté Reign Supreme (2 coats). This is an almost black purple shade. Really pretty!

I used a cheap white nail polish (I can’t remember which one) to sponge random white blobs onto my nails.

Then I sponged pink and purple nail polish on top of the white blobs – I used Ciaté Kiss Chase (pink), Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 370 Wild Orchid (milky purple) and Ciaté Reign Supreme (purple).

The glitter top coat I used is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 450 Ice Pop.

This isn’t my best galaxy mani, but I haven’t done any in a while, so it’s not too bad. I do need practice though!

Nail Of The Day – Barry M Molten Metal Holographic Sunburst & Stamping With Pict You Stamping Plates

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Barry M Molten Metal Holographic Sunburst (2 coats). This is a lovely holographic polish. I like it a lot!

For the images I used 2 of my new stamping plates – Pict You PY-J025 and Pict You PY-J028.

I stamped with a random black polish.

I liked this mani very much. The base colour is amazing, and I love the images on my new stamping plates.

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails

Hi there! Today’s post is the last one for this week. This means that Nail Week has come to an end. I’ll be back with a regular product review tomorrow.

But let me tell you about this mani! I painted my nails with Barry M Matte Nail Paint Espresso (2 coats). This is a terrible polish. Tip wear and chips within hours. I had to keep filling in the tips…

I applied blobs of white nail polish with a sponge to make the lighter colours pop.

The blue and pink colours I used are from the double-ended Revlon Nail Art Expressionist 300 Pop Art. The glitter top coat I used is Manhattan Super Nails 02 Glitter Champion.

This isn’t my best galaxy mani, but it’s not the worst either. I did like the mani. But next time I’ll try it without the blue.

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Astor, Primark & Pop Rocks

Hi there! After yesterday’s Empties post, today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lycra Pro 416 Night Flight (1 coat). Since galaxy nails aren’t about precision or perfection, I thought I could get away with 1 coat – and I did!

Then  I used a small piece of a make-up sponge to apply small blobs of white polish (Primark PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow).

Once the white polish had dried, I sponged pink (Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy) and blue (Rimmel 60 Seconds 825 Sky High) polish onto the white areas on my nails.

And once the colour polishes had dried, I applied 1 coat of holographic glitter top coat (Pop Rocks With The Band) to add stars to the galaxies.

I liked this mani a lot. Whilst I’ve done better galaxy nails in the past, I did like the addition of a “proper” holo top coat. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Sally Hansen, Revlon & More

Hi there! A few weeks ago I did a galaxy mani. It wasn’t my favourite galaxy mani, but I have to say that I still liked how it turned out.

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin (2 coats).

I used a small piece of a make-up sponge to apply blobs of Primark PS… Nail Polish Snow White to my nails.

I used a few colour polishes (and more small make-up sponge pieces) for the accents: Collection 2000 Hot Looks 30 Sherbet Lemons (yellow), Revlon 044 Blue Lagoon (pale turquoise), and NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink (pink).

The beautiful glitter top coat is Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova – which happens to be my all-time favourite glitter top coat!

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails Feat. Rimmel, Manhattan, Sally Hansen & Primark

Hi there! Today’s post is another Nail Of The Day post. I did this galaxy mani a few weeks ago. Here’s how:

I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 820 Hot Black To Go (2 coats).

I used a small piece of a make-up sponge and Primark’s PS… Marshmallow polish to sponge white blobs onto my nails. Then I used 2 colour polishes, Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies and Manhattan Mode Pilot 01M, to fill in the white blobs. I used a sponge for this too.

There’s no galaxy mani without glitter, so I applied 1 coat of Sally Hansen’s Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova. This is my favourite glitter top coat!

I’ve done better galaxy manis in the past. However, I still think this one looked quite cool. Do you like nail art? Have you tried to do galaxy nails before? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Feat. Revlon, Ciaté, MUA & Manhattan / A-Z Nail Art Challenge G-Galaxies

Hi there! Today’s Nail Of The Day post is about the Galaxies mani that I did for the A-Z Nail Art Challenge.

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 260 Bold Sangria.

And then I used small pieces of a retired make-up sponge to apply a number of different nail polishes.

I used these colours: MUA White Wash (white), Revlon Colorstay 040 Provence (pale lavender) & Manhattan Buffalo 18 (milky lilac).

And then I just applied one coat of Ciaté Confetti, which is a beautiful silver holo glitter topper.

I think this mani turned out great. I love it! What do you think? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Galaxy Nails / Nail Art Challenge #31 Recreate A Favourite – Galaxies

Hi there! Today’s post is about the galaxy mani I did the other day. For this super easy mani I painted my nails with Revlon 999 Blackest Black (2 coats).

Then I used small pieces of a make-up sponge to apply different colour polishes to my nails.

I used 4 different Essence Colour Boost nail colours: Instant Friendship (pale nude pink), Instant Feeling (dusty lavender), Instant Summer (yellow), and Instant Match (blue).

I liked how my nails looked at this point. However, I knew I wanted star dust too! So I applied 1 coat of the one and only Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova.

This mani is 1 of the 3 encores I’m doing for the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. This would be challenge #31 Recreate A Favourite II.

How do you like this mani? I have to say that I love it. I can’t stop staring at my nails! 😀 Feel free to let me know if you like this mani. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Unicorn Puke Foil Mani

galaxy foilsHi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago when my nails were shorter. I’m only doing the post now because I didn’t save the photo where I’d normally save it.

But let’s start! I used Rimmel I ♥ Lasting Finish 080 Black Cab as my base colour. I really like this black polish because it doesn’t dry too quickly (great for foils).

I let the polish dry to the point where it would be tacky – and then I started to press different foils (rainbow, gold, blue, purple, red, green, pink, etc) onto my nails. I repeated this process until all the nails looked like they were covered in unicorn puke. 😀

Then I let the mani dry for a while before I applied one coat of regular clear polish.

And this is the finished mani. I’m sorry the nails look messy in the photo – I should have cleaned up around the cuticles before taking the photo. The blurriness is real though – that’s what the mani looked like. 🙂 Sorry about the word puke. But I looked at the finished mani and I thought ‘this is what unicorn puke must look like’. There it was again! Oops! Anyway, thanks for stopping by. The next post will be a regular product review, I promise!
