Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Maybelline Forever Strong 605 Hyper Jade & Pop Rocks Groupie

Hi there! Today’s post is the last post for this week. And, of course, it’s another Christmas Nail Ideas post.

For this mani I painted my nails with Maybelline Forever Strong 605 Hyper Jade (2 coats). This polish is almost a one-coater. Nice!

The top coat I used is called Pop Rocks Groupie. It’s a sheer green jelly topper that’s packed with silver holo glitter. I had to apply 2 coats, but I didn’t mind because the mani turned out to look amazing. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Will you do a Christmas mani? Which colours will you use? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Manhattan ModePilot 03M & Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 833 Vintage Confetti

Hi there! Over the past few months I’ve done a few manis that I didn’t share with you. But since this week is Nail Week, I’ll show you the forgotten manis. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Manhattan Mode Pilot 03M (2 coats).

I love this Manhattan polish. The formula is great and the colour is very pretty.

The glitter topper is equally pretty! It’s Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 833 Vintage Confetti (1 easy coat).

I really liked this mani. The base colour and the topper look great together – but wine and gold are made for each other, so I knew the mani would great. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Primark PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow & Barry M Christmas Tree

Hi there! If you read my blog regularly you might remember that all my nail posts in October were Halloween-themed.

I really enjoyed thinking up halloweeney manis the entire month. And because of this I thought I should try to do Christmas-themed manis only in December.

For this mani I painted my nails with Primark PS… Nail Polish Marshmallow (2 easy coats). This is a really good white polish that’s 90p only. You need to try it!

The glitter topper I used is Barry M Christmas Tree. It’s the perfect Christmas gitter topper!

I really liked this mani! It was super easy to do, and it looked very christmassey. Doy ou agree? Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – W7 Lava Flow / Nail Art Challenge #31 Recreate A Favourite – Glitter

Hi there! Today’s Nail Of The Day post is a special post. It’s about the final mani I did for the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge.

This mani is for challenge #31 Recreate A Favourite. Yes, I’ve already done challenge #31 twice, but I said I would do another glitter mani – and here it is!

For this mani I painted my nails with W7 Lava Flow (2 coats), an off-white polish that’s packed with red and blue hex glitter. I love this polish! It’s so cute!

However, this glitter polish feels quite rough, so I had to slather it in top coat.

And this is already it! This is the simplest mani I’ve done in years! 🙂

How do you like this glitter polish? Feel free to comment if want to. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – Nail Art Challenge #9 Rainbow Nails

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did recently. It’s also another mani that counts toward the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge. And this rather chaotic mani is my attempt at challenge #9 Rainbow Nails.

Before I tell you which products I used, let me tell you how I ended up with this mani… one of my friend’s daughters celebrated her 11th birthday over the Easter weekend. I’m not good at baking or decorating, so I offered my friend to give her daughter a manicure.

I had lots of different nail colours and glitter toppers with me when I came to my friend’s house on Good Friday, so it wasn’t surprising that the young lady couldn’t decide which nail colour she liked best.

I suggested to paint her nails in different colours – and she agreed! The young lady opted for (more or less) pastel shades – light blue, orange, lilac, yellow and light green. And she chose a super cute glitter topper to complete the look.

When I got home I painted my nails in the same colours:
MakeUp Revolution True Blue (pinky),
Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 844 On The Mango (ring finger),
NYC Expert Last 255 Late Night Lilac (middle finger),
P2 240 Joyful (index finger),
Rimmel 60 Seconds 816 Green-Eyed Monster (thumb),
Jess Rainbow (glitter topper).
The only difference was that I used a peel-off base coat (for easy removal) on my friend’s daughter’s nails, whilst I used a regular base coat on my own nails. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet ‘N’ Spicy & China Glaze Pure Joy / Mrs Santa Nails

upload-1Hi there! I hope everyone’s still enjoying the holidays. Today is one of my favourite days of the year – Boxing Day! 🙂

Why? Because the big 50% off in-store post-Christmas sale is on! I’ll show you all the stuff I bought – in a few days. Now onto the mani!

I painted my nails with Rimmel Lycra Pro 322 Sweet’N’ Spicy (one coat). And I topped off my mani with two coats of China Glaze Pure Joy, a limited edition glitter topper from a few years ago.

Pure Joy is a densely packed red and gold glitter topper. But I still wanted a simple red base just so that I could skimp on the glitter topper.

Whilst I have dozens of red polishes, I only have 2 bottles of China Glaze’s Pure Joy. And I want to wear this polish again and again and again. By the way, Pure Joy isn’t just a Mrs Santa glitter polish, it’s also great for Halloween – if you’re going for a non-gory vampy vampire or devil look. 😉

Anyway, I really like my Mrs Santa nails. How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Bourjois So Lacque 61 Vert Chlorophylle & Barry M Jingle Bells / Nail Art Challenge #17 Glitter

Christmas NailsHi there! I’m continuing with the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge, and I’m also doing Christmas manis this month. And today’s nail art challenge is #17 Glitter!

For this easy mani I painted my nails with Bourjois So Lacque 61 Vert Chlorophylle (2 coats). I really like this polish – it dries reasonably quickly and the formula is easy to work with.

The glitter polish is one that sat in my stash for quite some time. It’s Barry M Jingle Bells, a cute gold and red limited edition glitter topper from 2014.

So whilst this mani is far from being unique, it’s a wearable green/glitter Christmas mani that shouldn’t raise too many eyebrows. 🙂

How do you like this mani? Feel free to let me know. And thanks for reading!

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day, Andrea Fulerton Art Attack & Rock Star Glitter

Funky Town Glitter NYC A Perfect Day Andrea FulertonHi there! I’ve done a lot of stamping recently, so I thought it’s time to do a glitter mani again.

I chose NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day (grey) and the blue polish from Andrea Fulerton’s Nail Boutique Art Attack Trio as my base colours.

The NYC polish is fantastic in every way – but the Andrea Fulerton polish annoyed me a bit. It took ages to dry – well over 45 minutes per coat. Fortunately I was watching a movie, so my hands weren’t busy.

The glitter is one of my favourite glitter mixes – it’s called Funky Town and I think it’s the ultimate rock star glitter mix.

I’ve done a mani – quite similar to this one – with the same glitter mix before. If you’d like to compare the manis and tell me which one you like better, you can find the other mani here.

I really like both manis, but I think this one looks fresher. I don’t know why, but my husband thinks it’s because the glitter looks so alive on the grey polish. Well, who am I to argue? 🙂

Feel free to let me know which mani you like better – the one from last year or this one. And thanks for stopping by!

Rimmel Glitter Topper Haul

Hi there! Here’s another non-review post. I went to the new B&M Bargains store near my place. They didn’t have many beauty products, but they had Rimmel glitter toppers – in bags of 2 for £1.99 each. That’s a total of £3.98 for four glitter toppers. Not bad!
Rimmel Glitter Toppers
I picked these glitter toppers: Rimmel Glitter 021 Bedazzle, Rimmel Love Glitter 032 All Glittered Up, 031 Mistletoe Mischief, 030 Queen of Bling. I think All Glittered Up and Mistletoe Mischief look very promising. I can’t wait to play with them!

Nail Of The Day – Nails Inc. Baker Stret & Claire’s All Sorts

022016 Nails Inc Baker Street and Claire's All SortsHi there! Since I’ve done two nail posts since Monday, I decided this week would be nail week. 🙂 And I hope you’re enjoying nail week as much as I do!

So for this mani I dug out one of the more interesting glitter toppers I have. But let’s start from the beginning.

At first I painted my nails with Nails Inc.’s Baker Street (2 coats), a beautiful medium blue that really pops.

Then I painted on one coat of glitter topper. This one’s called All Sorts and it’s from Claire’s Accessories. This glitter topper features lime green, yellow and pink glitter in different shapes and sizes. Btw, I love the yellow squares the most!

I think this mani came out wonderful. The colours pop and it looks fun. If I were a rock star, this is the kind of mani I’d wear all the time! 🙂
