L’Oréal Nail Polish Haul – Confettis, Tweed & Carat Top Coats

Hi there! Today’s post is not a review. But I wanted to show off my new L’Oréal top coats. 🙂 The first four toppers (from left to right) are 926 Independence Day (red, blue and white hex glitter), 927 Splash Peach (pastel yellow and peach hex glitter), 929 Graffiti D’Amour (red, pink and white hex glittr), and 925 Mini Camouflage (black and light green hex glitter). These beauties are from L’Oréal’s Confettis top coat collection.

And 910 Gold Carat (gold topper) and 909 Saphyr Carat (shimmery blue glitter) from L’Oréal’s Carat collection.
L'Oréal Toppers
I can’t wait to try them all! L’Oréal’s Color Riche nail polishes and top coat are £4.99 for 5 ml. But you can find quite a lot of them in discount stores. I paid 99p per topper only. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Astor Quick’N Go 321 & Gold Glitter

Astor Quick'N Go 321 gold glitterHi there! After lots of manis involving foils or stamping I’ve done a really simple mani the other day.

I couldn’t think of anything spectacular, so I just painted my nails (two coats) with Astor Quick’N Go 321 – a pale vintage rose colour with a cream finish.

I wasn’t sure which kind of glitter would look best, so I chose a simple gold glitter as a top coat. I’m sorry, I don’t remember which one because they all look the same. And I meant it – they’re not similar, they all do look the same.

I’m quite happy with the Astor polish (another great find from Poundworld) which didn’t chip until day four.

The gold topper didn’t feel too rough. Good suff – no regular to coat needed!

Whilst this isn’t my favourite mani, I think it looks alright.

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies & Glitter

Rimmel Stormy Skies GlitterHi there! So, after two attempts (Blood Spatter Nails and Bats on a monster slime green background) I’ve already run out of nail ideas for Halloween. So I thought I’d do a happy mani.

I used Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies as my base colour and added lots of colourful matte glitter hexes (white, fuchsia, lime green) for a good mood effect.

I really like Stormy Skies. The colour is a creamy greyish blue / blueish grey and I think it’s a great autumn and winter shade. I also had to apply one coat only, so this polish is just perfect!

The matte glitter looks quite cute, I think. However, I think it would have looked better on an orange or a light yellow background. Well, there’s always a next time.

What do you think? 🙂

Nail Of The Day – L’Oréal Color Riche 701 Midnight Mistress & Stamping with Pueen 59

L'Oreal Midnight Mistress PLUS Pueen 59Hi there! Today’s post is about nails again. I”m enjoying stamping again and in the past couple of weeks I’ve done quite a few manis with the help of my Pueen Stamping Buffet image plates.

The base colour is L’Oréal Color Riche 701 Midnight Mistress. This is the darkest blue in my nail polish collection. It reminds me of Nails Inc.’s Motcomb Street, but L’Oréal’s formula is much better.

The white stamping polish is from Essence. It’s called Essence Nail Art Stampy Polish 01. As you can see it stamps very well. And it’s only £1.50 so it’s a total bargain. The floral stamping plate is Pueen 59.

I really like this mani and I’m impressed with the white polish. Thank you, Essence!

Nail Of The Day – Boots 17 Lasting Fix Indigo & Glitter Mix

062015 Boots 17 Indigo PLUS glitter mixHi there! Here’s another quick NOTD post. I haven’t taken pics of my nails in ages because I haven’t done any spectacular manis lately. I also broke a nail (middle finger – again!), so I’m only showing you my ring finger and my pinkie this time.

I’m currently wearing Boots 17 Lasting Fix Indigo and a few sprinkles of a loose glitter mix which I bought online. I really like this mani – it’s happy and cheerful and the colourful glitter looks great on the purple polish.

What do you think of glitter manis? Feel free to comment. And thanks for checking out my blog!

Nail Of The Day – Orly Terracotta & Sally Hansen Fuzzy Coat 600 Fuzzy Fantasy

Hi there! I thought after all the face, eye and body products it’s time for a nail post. Yes, I’m a nail nut, too. I know the photo is huge – sorry about that – but I wanted to show off the Fuzzy Coat. 😀 Sooo… today I’m wearing Orly Terracotta (two coats) and Sally Hansen Fuzzy Fantasy (one coat).
Orly Terracotta PLUS Sally Hansen Fuzzy Fantasy
Orly Terracotta is a bright pinkish red; Sally Hansen Fuzzy Fantasy is a clear polish packed with matte green and white glitter strands. At first I wasn’t sure how this combination would turn out, but once the Fuzzy Coat was applied, I thought it looked cute. Mr Strawberryblonde certainly agrees. 🙂
