Empties – October 2021

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I finished in October. I used a few single-use face masks, and you can click here if you’d like to read my latest face mask reviews. Now let’s look at the big bottles…

Imperial Leather Grapefruit & Pomegranate Shower Cream – I liked this one a lot! It’s been discontinued, and I believe this was the last one I had in my stash. 😢

2 Radox “Donut Mind If I Do” Vanilla Bean & White Chocolate Scent Shower Gel – very nice! Definitely repurchase-worthy!

3 Herbal Essences Moisture Balance Conditioner – a holy grail product! I have plenty of backup (shampoos AND conditioners!) 😁

4 Gosh Cracked Nail Lacquer 04 Gold – didn’t like it. Wouldn’t give it a second look.

5 Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Magenta Moves – I loved this polish so much! I think I have another bottle. Fingers crossed!

6 Primark PS… 2 In 1 Base & Top Coat – a decent clear polish. I should have 1 more bottle in my stash.

7 Olay Regenerist Advanced Anti-Ageing Regenerating Night Cream – I love this night cream! I have another one in my stash.

8 Superdrug Anti-Ageing Hand Cream – I used this hand cream as a foot cream, and it did a good job. But I won’t buy it again.

9 Garnier Body Tonic Firming Hydrating Lotion – a very nice body lotion! Repurchase-worthy, no doubt!

10 Original Source Sweet Apple & Vanilla Milk Moisturising Shower Milk – a really nice shower cream. Unfortunately, it has been discontinued, otherwise I’d buy it again.

11 Olay Essentials Refreshing Face Wash – a great face wash! I believe this product has been repackaged and is now called “Olay Cleanse Foaming Cleanser Jelly”, although I’m not 100% sure if it’s the exact same formula.

12 Asda Sleep & Relax Bath Soak – I love this bath soak! I already bought a few back-up bottles!

13 Classics Nail Polish Remover – they shrunk the bottle from 400ml to 250ml, but the price remained the same. Rather greedy from the manufacturer, but this will remain my go to nail polish remover.

I think I did more than alright with my empties in October. Hopefully November will be just as good. Fingers crossed!

Nail Of The Day – Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom & Gosh Cracked Nail Lacquer 04 Gold (Nail Fail)

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post. And it’s also a Nail Fail.

For this mani I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Sonic Bloom (1 coat). This polish is a true one-coater. It’s amazing!

The crackle polish I used is Gosh Cracked Nail Lacquer 04 Gold. This crackle polish is awful! I applied it well over an hour after I had applied the base colour.

The base colour was 100% dry. However, the crackle polish still managed to somehow suck some of the base colour off of my nails, leaving my nails with “bald spots”. I’m sure you can tell that I was not impressed!

I’m not going to use this crackle top coat again. I have another one from the same brand, but I’m not really looking forward to giving that one a try!

Nail Of The Day – Gosh 549 Holographic Hero & Stamping With Pueen 72

upload-1Hi there! Today’s post is another nail post.

I didn’t know what to do with my nails the other day (What else is new…?!).

I wasn’t in the mood for bold colours, pastels or glitter. So in the end I decided to paint my nails with Gosh 549 Holographic Hero (2 coats).

I really like this polish. It dries quickly and it looks very pretty.

Sure, it would look even prettier on a sunny day, but it’s winter, and (unfortunately) there’s nothing I can do about the weather.

And I didn’t have the time or energy to think up a complicated mani, so I went for a super easy stamping mani.

The floral images are from Pueen’s 72 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection). And the black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I think this mani turned out OK. Do you agree? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Gosh 549 Holographic Hero & Stamping with Pueen 55

Gosh Holographic Hero and StampingHi there! I’ve been sporting really boring manis for the past week. Nothing worth mentioning.

And, of course, I got bored of those plain manis. So I grabbed a holo polish, Gosh 549 Holographic Hero, and my stamping kit.

I applied two coats of Holographic Hero. The polish dried quickly and was opaque in two coats. It’s not the strongest holo polish out there, but I only paid £1.99 for it, so I won’t complain.

Then I chose a stamping plate – Pueen 55 from Pueen’s Stamping Buffet. I opted for the leafy image and stamped it on with Revlon Colorstay Stiletto. I think this mani turned out alright. What do you think? 🙂
