Skin Treats Blueberry Detox Sheet Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Skin Treats Blueberry Detox Sheet Mask. This sheet mask contains 10+ botanical and fruit extracts, and it promises to cleanse and purify the skin.

This mask works like the majority of sheet masks – cleanse your face, apply the sheet mask to your face, leave it on for about 15 minutes (I leave sheet masks on until they’re dry), massage the leftover essence into the skin – and you’re good to go!

I’ve given this mask a try, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again. The mask itself is one of those terrible low quality masks which will have lost their shape by the time you’ve unwrapped them. By the time I had placed it on my face, the mask looked like it had been in a fight.

I found the essence to be refreshing, and I’m happy to report that it didn’t feel sticky at all. However, the mask didn’t make any difference to my skin. Based on my experience, I’m not convinced of its cleansing or purifying powers…

If you’d like to give Skin Treats Blueberry Detox Sheet Mask a try, it’s 99p at Savers and B&M Bargains.

Maxbrands Luxurious Gold Mask / Peel-Off Face Mask

Hi there! I hope everyone had a good weekend! This week I’m going to post about face masks only, so this week is going to be FACE MASK WEEK. ☺️ And today’s post is about Maxbrands’ Luxurious Gold Mask / Peel-Off Face Mask for normal skin.

Maxbrands is a brand from the Netherlands. I’ve never seen their products anywhere in the UK – until I found their face masks (gold masks and charcoal masks) at my local Home Bargains store. Since a pack of 5 masks was 99p only, I picked up 2 packs right away.

This gold mask promises to give skin a deep cleanse and to remove blackheads. I’ve now used 2 of these masks, and I think they’re the most powerful peel-off masks ever. But let’s start from the beginning…

First of all, if you use peel-off masks a lot, you’re probably used to them being runny. However, these gold masks are much thicker, almost paste-like. These masks don’t take long to dry. I think that leaving them on for 15 minutes is more than enough. Now, when you remove the mask, you have to be extra careful – because it removes blackheads AND facial hair.

If I had known how powerful this mask is before I’d used it, I would have shaved my face. I’m serious! Trust me, you have no idea how much peach fuzz you have until those teeny tiny strands of baby hair are pulled out. My face was bright red for about an hour after I removed the mask, but that was from the unexpected and unwanted peach fuzz removal; this was not an allergic reaction.

Having mentioned this, this mask is actually one of my new favourite products. It made my pores squeaky clean, and it completely transformed my husband’s nose after a single use. My husband enjoys an occasional face mask, but his nose has always been a problem (nose strips didn’t help – we tried). Now I don’t want to spoil your dinner, so all I’m going to say is that once my husband peeled the mask off of his nose, he was actually ashamed of how much gunk it caught. It wasn’t pretty, but again, a single use of this mask completely transformed his nose.

Based on my experience, I would recommend this face mask to anyone who’s fighting a losing battle against their blackheads. Just be aware that you might want to consider shaving your face before you use this mask. I will continue to use this mask on a regular basis, and I have already stocked up on this amazing little product!

Maxbrands’ Luxurious Gold Mask / Peel-Off Face Mask is available as a pack of 5 masks I paid 99p (Home Bargains).

100% Vegan & Cruelty-Free – Superdrug B. Glowing Clay Face Mask, Superdrug B. Purified Clay Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 face masks that I bought in March – Superdrug’s B. Glowing Clay Face Mask and B. Purified Clay Face Mask. These 2 face masks are suitable for all skin types, and they’re vegan and cruelty-free (Leaping Bunny certified).

Superdrug’s B. Glowing Clay Face Mask promises to brighten and exfoliate skin and to refine skin texture. This mask contains a blend of 3 clays, red seaweed and apricot seed powder.

Since the pack provided enough product for 2 uses (10ml), my husband was happy to test the mask with me. We both agree that the mask feels cleansing and exfoliating. In addition, the mask feels extremely cold for the first minute or two, and I can see that some people would find this unpleasant. What else? My husband and I also agree that apricot seed powder is great in body scrubs but that it’s too harsh for facial skin. Because of this, I wouldn’t repurchase the mask.

Superdrug’s B. Purified Clay Face Mask promises to refresh and purify skin and to minimise shine. This face mask contains a blend of oil absorbing ingredients as well as eucalyptus extract.

My husband and I gave this mask a fair try as well, and we liked this one a lot more. My husband found that this mask stung a little around this nose, but I didn’t notice anything unpleasant or scary. This mask is very effective – it sucks the grease right out of the pores. I won’t buy this mask again because it’s too powerful for me. But if you have oily skin, or if your skin tends to develop impurities, you might want to give this mask a try!

Superdrug’s B. Glowing Clay Face Mask and B. Purified Clay Face Mask. are available as 10ml for £2.99 each. I paid £1.45 each (special offer).

Nivea Refining Peel Off Mask

Hi there! Today’s short post is about Nivea‘s Refining Peel Off Mask for combination skin. 🙂

This face mask promises to exfoliate skin gently, to remove sebum and to reduce shine for several hours.

It works like any other peel-off mask. Just apply it to your face, let it dry for 15-20 minutes, then peel it off.

How’s the mask? I think it’s one of the best peel-off masks I’ve ever used. It removes dead skin cells as well as grease and grime with ease. It’s really powerful!

Nivea‘s Refining Peel Off Mask for combination skin is available as 2x 5ml. I paid £1. I will definitely go back to Poundland to buy more of these masks!

This peel-off face mask is like any other peel-off mask. Apply it, let it dry for about 15 minutes, then peel it off, and wash off any residue with warm water.

So how’s the mask? I think it’s one of Montagne Jeunesse’s best peel-off masks. I found it very effective, and I think it even brightened my skin. The lovely fragrance is an added bonus!

Creightons Pink Grapefruit Mattifying Face Mask

Hi there! Today’s post is about Creightons Pink Grapefruit Mattifying Face Mask which I picked up for 99p at my local Home Bargains store.

This face mask contains kaolin as well as bentonite, and it promises to absorb excess oils for a clearer complexion.

It’s super easy to use – apply it to cleansed skin, leave it on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

So how is it? I think this mask is very good. I can see that this mask is giving my skin a deep cleanse, and that it makes my skin feel squeaky clean but not dry. This is pretty awesome!

I also love the fresh grapefruit fragrance. It’s refreshing and natural.

I would recommend this face mask to anyone who’s looking for an effective but inexpensive clay mask.

Creightons Pink Grapefruit Mattifying Face Mask is available as 100ml.

You Need This In Your Life – Malki Dead Sea The Miraculous Source Natural Sulphur Soap

Hi there! Today’s post is about Malki‘s Dead Sea The Miraculous Source Natural Sulphur Soap. This soap contains palm oil, olive oil, and coconut oil, as well as sulphur and Dead Sea salt. Since sulfur and Dead Sea salt are known to help with skin ailments like eczema, acne, and psoriasis, I was interested. Then I discovered that this soap is free of detergents and animal fat – and I knew I had to have it! I started to use this soap 4 weeks ago, and I’m blown away. Now let me tell you why I love this product!

First of all, this soap smells like soap. If you read somewhere that this soap has a strong sulphur smell, don’t believe it. Some people just never experienced the smell of good old-fashioned soap!

Alrighty… when I used the soap for the first time, I used it on my body and on my face. It doesn’t lather up like a shower gel or a face wash, but it cleanses skin very well. It also removed most of my make-up which was nice (but since it’s a soap, I wouldn’t recommend using it around the eyes).

Right after I got out of the shower, my skin felt super clean, yet not stripped. I didn’t use any body lotion afterwards, and I had no issues with dry skin at all. I loved it!

But here’s the best bit – the soap took care of the bumpy rash (probably some kind of heat or sweat rash) that has been bugging me for most of this summer. The rash was 50% better after one shower using the soap, and it was completely gone after just a few days. I’m now using this soap 2-3 times per week, and I think it does wonders for my skin. I haven’t had a single spot in 4 weeks, I have no new rashes or dry patches. And even my semi-permanent ezcema patch has been looking really calm and almost colourless for almost 4 weeks now.

I know I will use this soap forever (assuming it won’t ever be discontinued) – and my husband feels the same way! This is probably the best product I’ve tried all year. I would recommend this soap to everyone, especially to those with skin problems. If you’re not giving this soap a try, well, that’s your own fault really!

Malki‘s Dead Sea The Miraculous Source Natural Sulphur Soap is available as 90g for £3.75 (Boots).
