Hi there! Today’s post is about Treacle Moon’s That Vanilla Moment Bath And Shower Gel. My husband and I call it amazingness in a bottle. 🙂
I’ve been avoiding Treacle Moon products for years. I have nothing against the brand – au contraire! I do think the brand is actually very quirky.
However, I just somehow made the decision to ignore all things Treacle Moon. I guess it was some anti-hoarding impulse that kicked in… 😀
Anyway, now the shower gel is mine, and I’ve given it a try! I think this shower gel is lovely. The vanilla fragrance isn’t a pure vanilla. I think it’s a mix of vanilla and yoghurt with a hint of lemon.
This shower gel smells sweet and refreshing at the same time. And I love the non-drying formula. I’m very happy with this product!
I would recommend this shower gel to everyone! Treacle Moon That Vanilla Moment Bath And Shower Gel is available as 500ml for £3 (Waitrose, Tesco). I paid £2 (save 1/3 promotion).
Hi there! Just last weekI told you that I bought a 3-piece Baylis & Harding gift set. I just couldn’t resist the Donuts theme. Yes, I know I’m weak! 🙂 I’ve already given these products a try, so here’s what I think.
Baylis & Harding’s Beauticology Blueberry Glaze Donut Shower Crème is quite nice. The fragrance is definitely yummy, and the shower cream formula is really gentle. But there’s one issue… the tube has a screw cap which is not very practical…
Baylis & Harding’s Beauticology Vanilla Sugar Donut Body Butter moisturises my skin well. The vanilla sugar donut fragrance is rather faint, but I have to say that it’s very authentic!
Baylis & Harding’s Beauticology Frosted Sprinkles Bath Soak Crystals are a nice treat. I think the Frosted Sprinkles fragrance is inredibly sweet and rather strong, but it smells like the perfect mix of frosting and sprinkles!
All in all I am happy with these fun products. I paid £6 (Asda) for my Baylis & Harding Beauticology Donut set (which, I think, would also make a cute gift). Have you tried these products? If so, please feel free to let me know how you liked them. And thanks for stopping by!
Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 Boots Extracts products – Boots Extracts Luxurious Coconut Body Scrub, Body Butter and Body Wash. These 3 products were part of a large Christmas-themed gift set that contained several products from four different Boots Extracts product lines (Marshmallow & Peppermint, Mango, Vanilla and, obviously, Coconut). Now let’s get straight to the actual review!
The Body Scrub was the first product I tried. Just like all the other Boots Extracts scrubs, this one is quite alright. It could be a little grittier, but it’s still a good product. I also like the coconut fragrance because it’s rather subtle. The Body Wash is really nice. I like the moisturising formula and, again, I’m happy with the subtle coconut fragrance.
The Body Butter is truly great. It’s rich, but it feels light. It’s very nourishing, but it’s not sticky. It makes my skin feel soft and silky, but it doesn’t feel like “product” on my skin. This body butter is subtly scented – which is fantastic because I think the majority of coconut fragrances are just overwhelming. So I think Boots did a great job with this body butter. And, of course, Boots did a great job with the body wash and the body scrub too.
I would recommend these products! Boots Extracts Luxurious Coconut is available as 400ml Scrub for £6.50 and 200ml Body Butter for £6. It appears that, at the moment, the shower gel isn’t part of the regular collection. However, if you really want the shower gel, you should keep an eye on special occasion gift sets (Christmas, Mother’s Day etc.).
Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 I Love… products that I found at my local Poundworld. I Love… had 2 limited editions last Christmas – Chocolate Truffle and Yummy Caramel. The Chocolate Truffle products were everywhere (I stocked up!), but I couldn’t find the Yummy Caramel products anywhere – until a few weeks ago.
And now that I’ve been using these 2 products for about a week, let me tell you if I Love…’s Yummy Caramel Bath & Shower Crème and Nourishing Body Butter are any good. 🙂
I Love…’s Yummy Caramel Bath & Shower Crème is a nice shower product. The caramel fragrance is sweet and yummy (they weren’t kidding), and the formula is gentle and non-drying. Great stuff! I Love…’s Yummy Caramel Nourishing Body Butter is rich and nourishing indeed, and it smells sweet and yummy too. This body butter is a real skin treat!
I would recommend these I Love… products to everyone. I found these products at my local Poundland, but I’ve also seen them at Bargain Buys – for £1 each.
I Love…’s Yummy Caramel Bath & Shower Crème is available as 500ml, and
I Love…’s Yummy Caramel Nourishing Body Butter is available as 200ml.
Hi there! Today’s post is about Flower Pharm’s Wild Rose Body Wash, Body Scrub and Body Butter. It’s been some time since I bought my Flower Pharm Wild Rose gift set (Asda, £5). But when I saw a similar Flower Pharm set (same contents, slightly different packaging) at my local Tesco store the other day (I thought these products were discontinued – ?!), I knew I should finally try the products that I already have!
I have reviewed the body butter (which I have a big tub of) some time ago, and you can read my review here. In summary, this body butter is amazing! It’s rich, but not sticky. It feels great on my skin and it makes my skin feel great. I love it! And instead of mineral oil and synthetic fragrances, it contains coconut oil and real Damascus rose flower water. This body butter is fantastic!
The body scrub is very nice and effective. It contains pecan shell powder but it feels like a sea salt scrub. Great stuff! In addition, this body scrub contains sweet almond oil and shea butter – I guess this is why this scrub makes my skin feel so soft and conditioned. The body wash is wonderful. It’s a clear gel that lathers up nicely and cleanses my skin gently. It smells lovely and it doesn’t feel drying at all. Well done, Flower Pharm!
If you’re wondering what the fragrance is like… it’s a charmingly old-fashioned and pure rose fragrance. And it doesn’t have that sweaty note that most rose fragrances seem to have nowadays. This is the kind of rose I’d like to smell in all rose-scented products. So yes, I would recommend Flower Pharm’s Wild Rose collection! As Flower Pharm’s products seem to be stocked by the most random stores, you should check if your local supermarket, drugstore or bargain store has them. You won’t be disappointed by Flower Pharm products, I promise!
Hi there! Today’s post is about NSPA’s Rich And Velvety Decadent Caramel Chocolate Shower & Bath Gel which I bought last year.
Back then I thought I’d use this shower gel right away, but I had so many part-used bottles that I wanted to finish first. In addition, this one is a 500ml bottle!
And all of a sudden it was summer and I switched to fruity shower products. 😀
But a few days ago I finally started to use this shower gel. And I love it!
The gel itself is quite thick which is nice because I can’t spill it by accident. And I love the shimmering golden brown colour of this shower gel.
But it doesn’t just look chocolatey – it smells chocolatey too! Whilst it’s a caramel chocolate shower gel, the caramel note is quite faint. The rich chocolate aroma is the star of the show, no doubt!
Another thing I like is that this shower gel doesn’t feel drying. It lathers up well, but it’s very gentle! All in all, I think this is a fantastic shower product. I hope NSPA does the same limited edition again next year. If so, I’ll be stocking up!
Hi there! Today I’m reviewing Calcot Manor’s De-Stress Body Buff. A while ago the luxurious Calcot Manor Spa teamed up with Tesco to come up with a spa-themed product range.
Some of these products have now hit the discount stores, so I bought quite a few of them. The first product I wanted to try was this body buff. So I tried it!
The first thing I noticed was the product’s fragrance. I’d describe it as a beautiful old-fashioned floral fragrance. My husband is not impressed. But I think the scent is gorgeous!
I also love the formula – because it’s fun! When you squeeze the product out of the tube, it comes out like a worm. 😀
But to me the big selling point is that the product is easy to distribute all over my body – almost like a shower gel. I think sugar scrubs can be quite a pain to use – but exfoliating my skin with this body buff is quick and easy.
I think this product is really good and I can definitely recommend it! The scent isn’t for everyone, and I would have expected it to be fresher and more youthful. But I actually like the strong vintage floral fragrance because it fits the traditional English spa theme.
Calcot Manot De-Stress Body Buff is available as 200ml for £4.99 at Tesco. However, I paid 99p at a discount store!
