Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss 1 Baby Doll’s Favourite, Collection Bedazzled Special Glitter Edition Eye Palette

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 products – Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss 1 Baby Doll’s Favourite and Collection Bedazzled Special Glitter Edition Eye Palette.

Let’s start with this Essence XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss 1 Baby Doll’s Favourite which I picked up when it was on sale for £1 at Wilko’s.

Whilst the pale peachy shade is nothing special, I do like the hydrating formula of this lipgloss. I’m also a fan of the subtle vanilla flavour. I’m happy to continue to use this lipgloss, and I have no doubt that I’ll finish it over the next few months.

Onto this Collection Bedazzled Special Glitter Edition Eye Palette which was £1.99 at Fragrance Direct. I’m not really a fan of the brand Collection, but the palette was cheap, so I wanted to give it a try.

This eye palette contains 9 glittery eyeshadows – a few colours, a few neutral shades, black and white. I did the swatches on a well-moisturised forearm!

The shades in the top row are purple, grey and a light beige. The purple is terribly chalky and not easy to blend. The grey and the light beige are poorly pigmented. It took more than 10 swipes to get the colours to show!

Row 2 has a chalky minty green, an incredibly poorly pigmented black (What were they thinking?) and a surprisingly half-decent gold. It took 10+ swipes for the green and black to show, but just about 2 or 3 swipes for the gold.

And in the bottom row there’s a terribly ugly metallic blue, a poorly pigmented white, and a very nice metallic brown. They did keep the best for last! The blue and white are, again, 10+ swipes, but the brown is just a single swipe!

I’ve made the decision to use the nice brown shade for all my eye looks until the end of the month. But after that I’ll bin the palette as I won’t keep it for just 1 eyeshadow.

Thanks for stopping by today, lovelies! 🥰

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love, Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 07 So Heavy

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 lipglosses that I picked up for half price at Wilko’s – Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love and Essence Plumping Nudes 07 So Heavy. These lipglosses promise plumper lips within seconds. I’ve been using these lipglosses on and off for a few weeks, and here’s what I think.

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipgloss 05 Bold Love is a sheer brownish gloss. The shade looks nice on my lips, but I don’t care for the cooling and plumping effect.

Essence Plumping Nudes 07 So Heavy is very pretty! When I bought this lipgloss, I didn’t notice that it was packed with glitter. And I was actually quite disappointed when I realised it was glittery. But then I tried it, and I fell in love with the shade – which is the perfect plum shade for pale girls). The glitter is hardly visible on my lips, but it adds to the glossy look. Another big plus is that the gloss is pretty much opaque – like a liquid lipstick. Again, I don’t care for the cooling and plumping effect, but this gloss is great in every other way, so I’m very happy to use it!

Essence Plumping Nudes Lipglosses are available in a number of shades for £2.30 each at Wilko’s. I paid £1.15 each for the 2 shades I bought.

Yves Rocher Framboise Nourishing Lip Balm, Manhattan Lipjelly 59N, MUA MakeUp Academy Sheer Finish Lipgloss Perk Me Up

Hi there! Today’s post is about 3 lip products – Yves Rocher Framboise Nourishing Lip Balm, Manhattan Lipjelly 59N and MUA MakeUp Academy Sheer Finish Lipgloss Perk Me Up.

Yves Rocher Framboise Nourishing Lip Balm is one of the better lip balms I’ve used over the past few years. I just finished it, but I’m happy to report that It made my lips feel hydrated. The raspberry flavour is 100% spot on! This lip balm is tinted; the colour of the lip balm matches the colour of the raspberry on the front. I enjoyed using this one!

Manhattan Lipjelly 59N is my favourite gloss-balm type of lip product at the moment. I picked it up as part of a nail polish + lip duo for £1 at Poundland, so I didn’t expect much from it. But guess what, this lip jelly is amazing! It tastes like… paradise (!), it hydrates my lips perfectly, and the sheer tint is super gorgeous. I love it!

MUA MakeUp Academy Sheer Finish Lipgloss Perk Me Up is another lip product I’m enjoying very much. This gloss is very nourishing, and it has a beautiful sheer brownish tint. I also love the classic lipstick flavour! The best bit – I paid 50p for this one (bargain bin).

I’m happy with the lip products I’m using at the moment. I do have a few more in my rota, and I will do another post about the other products soon!

Have you tried any of these products? Would you like to try them? Which lip products are you loving at the moment? Please feel free to comment. And thanks for reading! ☺️

Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipgloss 130 Crushed Candy & 160 Treat Me Sweet

Hi there! I haven’t reviewed any lip products in ages, so I thought I could (or should) do a post about 2 Maybelline Color Sensational lipglosses. The shades / flavours are 130 Crushed Candy and 160 Treat Me Sweet.

Crushed Candy is a pale pink gloss, Treat Me Sweet is a pale peach gloss. Both glosses contain micro shimmer particles which, fortunately, aren’t visible on the lips. Having said that, these two glosses are indeed super glossy on the lips!

Onto the flavours! Crushed Candy is peppermint-flavoured. It’s actually quite nice. And Treat Me Sweet is… sensational! The flavour is the loveliest sweet flavour I could imagine. I can’t describe it, but it has everything. If I ever find any kind of food stuff that tastes like this lipgloss, I’ll be in trouble!

I believe these lipglosses have been discontinued – but you can still find them at Poundland, Poundworld (which is where I bought them) and the likes.

The Best 50p I Ever Spent – Manhattan Tasty Lips Lipgloss American Grapefruit

Hi there! Today’s post is a short one. And it’s about this clear Manhattan Tasty Lips Lipgloss with American Grapefruit flavour. This lipgloss was part of a £1 Manhattan Cosmetics duo pack (lipgloss + eyeshadow duo) at Bargain Buys!

I already lost the eyeshadow duo – well, it’s somewhere in my stash – I just have no idea where it could be. 🙂 But let’s focus on the lipgloss…

I think this lipgloss is fantastic! The gloss is clear, there’s no sparkle (Yay!), it’s very hydrating but it doesn’t feel too sticky. And the grapefruit flavour is… the ultimate yummy grapefruit flavour! It’s perfect. It’s dreamy. I love it! I will have to go back to Bargain Buys to see if I can find more. Wish me luck, OK? 🙂

Have you tried this lipgloss? Feel free to comment. And thanks for reading!

Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipgloss 410 Peach Sorbet & 520 Cherry Kiss

Hi there! I spotted these cute Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipglosses at Poundland the other day. I’m not very much into Maybelline, and their Popsticks left me pretty much underwhelmed. But I thought these glosses looked promising. I’ve tried them both now. So it’s time I put my thoughts into words.
Maybelline Lipgloss
Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipgloss 410 Peach Sorbet has a peachy tint which is invisible on the lips. I’m OK with that because I don’t care for peachy, orange or coral lips. Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipgloss 520 Cherry Kiss looks tinted in the tube as well. But the soft cherry tint doesn’t show on the lips at all. I’m OK with that too because I’m not a red lips gal at all.

I really like these glosses. Here’s what’s good:
– fruity flavours that last,
– very moisturising,
– no shimmer or sparkle

I have to mention that I find the cherry flavour a bit too sweet for my taste, and I think the glosses are quite sticky (certainly above average sticky). But overall I really like them and I’ll use them up for sure.

I believe these Maybelline Color Sensational Luscious Lipglosses have been discontinued. However, they can still be found online or in discount stores like Poundland, etc.
