L’Oréal Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Moisture Boosting Shampoo & Moisture Locking Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about the hair care combo I’m using at the moment – L’Oréal Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Moisture Boosting Shampoo & Moisture Locking Conditioner. These products are aimed at people with dehydrated hair. My hair isn’t dehydrated, and I wash my hair every morning, so I can’t comment on the “up to 72h moisture” claim. But I can comment on how these products work for me.

Let’s start with the shampoo! I think it’s really nice. It’s a creamy white shampoo, but the formula feels a bit lighter when I compare it with other L’Oréal shampoos. I think it cleanses my hair gently, and I also like the fresh and floral scent.

Onto to the conditioner which is just as lovely. I’m impressed with how quickly and easily this conditioner detangles my hair. It’s really good! I also like how soft and silky it makes my hair feel without weighing it down.

I’m very happy with these hair products. Based on my experience, I’d recommend them, and I will buy them again, no doubt. If you’re interested, L’Oréal Elvive Hydra Hyaluronic Moisture Boosting Shampoo & Moisture Locking Conditioner are available as 400ml each for about £6. I paid £2.99 each (half price offer). I just checked the prices on Boots’ and Superdrug’s websites, and Boots is actually running a half price promotion, and Superdrug has a 2 for £6 deal (no idea when these offers expire though).

L’Oréal Elvive Nutri-Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! Today’s post is about L’Oréal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo & Conditioner. These products claim to provide weightless moisture to make hair feel ‘velvety soft and as light as a feather’. In addition, these products promise to make hair extra shiny by smoothing the hair surface to boost light reflection. Alrighty! Now let me tell you if this hair care combo is any good.

L’Oréal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo is the prettiest shampoo ever. It’s a clear gel that shimmers and sparkles. It looks gorgeous! I think this shampoo cleanses my hair and scalp nicely. However, for some reason it causes my hair to tangle up which isn’t the best prep for a conditioner…

L’Oréal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Conditioner is an average conditioner. I think it’s not good enough to detangle the knots that the matching shampoo causes. No matter how much conditioner I use, I always end up with at least 2 messy knots, so I have to double-condition those knots, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to detangle them at all…

All in all, I think these two products are just OK. I don’t think that my hair looks shinier than usual, and I also don’t think that my hair feels smoother. Saying this, I’m happy that these two products don’t grease up my hair.

Will I buy these products again? Yes – because I want to do an experiment! L’Oréal’s Nutri Gloss Luminiser products made my hair feel super soft and silky. However, they made my hair go greasy rather quickly. So they did the opposite of what the Nutri Gloss Crystal products did. Because of this I want to find out if the Luminiser shampoo + Crystal conditioner and the Crystal shampoo + Luminiser conditioner would be better match-ups.

L’Oréal Elvive Nutri Gloss Crystal Sparkling Shampoo & Conditioner are available as 400ml each for £4.50 each. But they’re almost always on special (half price, BOGOF, 2 for £5, etc.) somewhere. I always (!) wait for half price or BOGOF offers! 🙂

L’Oréal Elvive Colour Protect Caring Shampoo & Conditioner

Hi there! As I’m using different shampoos and conditioners all the time, I sometimes forget old favourites – like L’Oréal’s Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. However, I’ve now bought these two products again – and I remembered why I always loved them so much.

The shampoo is great. It smells pleasant and it cleanses my hair and my scalp nicely. The conditioner is one of the best I’ve ever used – second only to Herbal Essences’ Classics conditioners. What I love about the conditioner is that it detangles my hair nicely and that it doesn’t weigh my hair down – just the way I like it. 🙂

I also noticed that these two products really help maintain the intensity of my hair colour after I’ve dyed my hair. Normally the colour bleeds quite a bit for a few washes after I’ve dyed my hair – but these two products made a huge difference! Well done, L’Oréal!

I would definitely recommend L’Oréal’s Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner to anyone with coloured hair. If you want to hold on to your hair colour for as long as possible, you really should try these two products!

The shampoo and the conditioner are available as 250ml for £2.99 and 400ml for £3.99. This is really good value. However, there’s usually at least one supermarket or drugstore chain that runs a half price or BOGOF promotion on the big bottles. So keep your eyes peeled for the best offer! 🙂
