L’Oréal Fine Flowers Gel-Cream Wash

Hi there! I’ve got a skin care review for you today, and it’s about this L’Oréal Fine Flowers Gel-Cream Wash with rose and jasmine.

This soap-free face wash is aimed at people with dry & sensitve skin, and it promises to cleanse, purify and soften the skin.

I’ve been using this face wash for a few weeks now, and I think it’s very nice.

Whilst I don’t think that it made a huge difference to what my face looks or feels like, I think it’s great at cleansing my skin properly without aggravating it or drying it out.

Based on my experience, I would recommend this face wash. I can definitely see myself buying it again!

L’Oréal Fine Flowers Gel-Cream Wash with rose and jasmine is available as 150ml for £3.99. I paid £1.99 (special offer, Boots).

L’Oréal Pure Clay Multi-Masking Kit / Detox, Purity & Glow Masks

Hi there! Today’s post is about this L’Oréal Pure Clay Multi-Masking Play Kit which contains 3 10ml face masks – L’Oréal Pure Clay Detox Face Mask, L’Oréal Pure Clay Purity Face Mask, and L’Oréal Pure Clay Glow Face Mask. I paid £3.50 for this set.

The first mask I tried from the set was L’Oréal Pure Clay Detox Face Mask which contains 3 pure clays and charcoal. According to L’Oréal, the mask acts like a magnet that draws out impurities. Sounds promising!

I’ve given this mask a try, and I think it’s good. I didn’t care for the masculine fragrance, but I was happy with the mask’s skin cleansing powers. My skin felt a bit dry afterwards, but that was OK because that’s how I knew the mask worked. The dryness was easy to combat with a bit of face mist, serum and moisturiser.

Onto L’Oréal Pure Clay Glow Face Mask with 3 pure clays and red algae. This mask promises to exfoliate and to brighten the skin.

Unfortunately, this mask contains ground apricot pits. This stuff is too harsh for facial skin! If I had looked at the ingredients first, I wouldn’t have used the mask. I also don’t think that it was brightening. The only good thing about this mask was the pleasant fragrance.

The last mask I tried was L’Oréal Pure Clay Purity Face Mask with 3 pure clays and eucalyptus. This mask claims to give pores a deep, purifying cleanse for a matte look – all without drying out the skin.

This is another mask that’s good but not great. Whilst I agree that the mask felt clarifying, it also felt like it left a dry film on my skin. I guess this one’s probably more suited for oily skin types.

If you’re interested, L’Oréal Pure Clay Detox Face Mask, L’Oréal Pure Clay Purity Face Mask, and L’Oréal Pure Clay Glow Face Mask are available as 50ml each for £7.99 each. I’m glad I was able to try these masks, but I won’t buy any of the full sizes because there are better masks for less money out there.

Reducing My Samples Stash – L’Oréal Revitalift Laser Renew Day & L’Oréal Revitalift Filler Renew

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 samples I received fairly recently – L ‘Oréal Revitalift Laser Renew Day & L’Oréal Revitalift Filler Renew. Let’s start with the Laser Renew sample!

L ‘Oréal Revitalift Laser Renew Day contains hyaluronic acid and a chemical exfoliant (LHA), and it promises reduced wrinkles and smoother, firmer skin – after 4 weeks of use. Well, I had 1 sample, so I can only share my first impressions. Read on, and I’ll tell you more.

The first thing I noticed about this face cream was its lovely texture. It felt silky, and it melted into the skin. Nice! I think this face cream would be suitable for normal to oily skin types. But I don’t think it’s good enough for dry skin. After a couple of hours I could feel that this cream just wasn’t moisturising enough. What else? I liked the subtle fragrance. However, I’m not happy that this face cream doesn’t contain sunscreen. All in all, I’m 100% sure I won’t be buying the full size.

Sample number 2 is L’Oréal Revitalift Filler Renew Anti-Ageing Day Replumping Care (this is what it says on the back of the sachet). This product contains hyaluronic acid and fibroxyl plant extract, and it promises reduced wrinkles and plumper skin that bounces back. L’Oréal didn’t state how long it would take for results to be visible.

When I opened the sachet, the first thing I noticed was a strong (and not very feminine) smell. It wasn’t really unpleasant, but I didn’t care for it at all. I also noticed that this cream was considerably thicker than the Laser Renew cream I tried the day before. I wouldn’t say the cream was waxy, but the texture felt quite awkward. I have to admit that I expected the cream to flake. However, it did nothing of the sort. It went on fine. Still… this cream wasn’t very moisturising, and it doesn’t contain sunscreen, so this is another product I won’t buy the full size of.

If you’d like to try these L’Oréal face creams, they’re available as 50ml for about £20 – £23 each. I think they’re quite pricey, so I would recommend you look up reviews from people who’ve used these creams for a number of weeks. Anyway, if you’ve tried these face creams, please get in touch. I’d love to know if these products worked for you. 🙂

L’Oréal Skin Perfection Soothing Gel-Cream Wash

L'Oreal Face WashHi there! today’s post is about L’Oréal’s Skin Perfection Gel-Cream Wash for dry and sensitive skin.

This fragrance-free and soap-free face wash promises to remove make-up and impurities, to reveal a better skin texture, and to make skin feel silky-soft.

I’ve been using this face wash for 2 weeks now, and I’m very happy with it.

I think this face wash is definitely gentle and non-drying. And when used with a sponge or a wash cloth (or similar), it’s a fantastic facial cleanser.

Whilst I agree that this face wash leaves my skin feeling soft, I haven’t noticed any improvement in my skin texture. However, this is still a great face wash, and I would recommend it!

It appears that L’Oréal is replacing its entire Skin Perfection collection. So if you want to try this face wash, or stock up before it’s sold out, you need to be quick! My local B&M Bargains store sells this face wash. It’s £1.99 for a 150ml tube which is great value! B&M also sells other Skin Perfection products (toner, cleansing milk, serum, day and night creams…), so you might want to swing by your local B&M too!

L’Oréal Skin Perfection Correcting Concentrated Serum

Hi there! A few weeks ago I emptied the first L’Oréal serum I’ve ever used, and since then I’ve been using another L’Oréal serum – L’Oréal’s Skin Perfection Correcting Concentrated Serum. This serum is aimed at women aged 18-32 who want smoother, brighter and more radiant looking skin. In summary, this serum promises to tighten pores and to make first lines appear smoother – in 7 days!

Whilst this serum isn’t perfect, I do like it. Here’s why: I think the pump dispenser is great. Two pumps deliver the perfect amount of serum for my face and neck. Nice! The serum is lightly fragranced – the fragrance is nothing special, but it’s definitely pleasant.

I think that this serum feels great on my skin. The lightweight formula delivers a refreshing hydration boost which is very nice! Whilst I don’t think this serum made any difference to my pores at all, I’m still happy with it because it seems to maintain the ‘fresher skin’ look the other L’Oréal serum gave me.

I would recommend this serum – and I would recommend you get your 30ml bottle from B&M Bargains. L’Oréal’s Skin Perfection Correcting Concentrated Serum is £15.99 at Superdrug – but it’s only £4.99 at B&M!

100% Awesome – L’Oréal Youth Code Luminizer Serum

Hi there! I consider myself to be an Olay girl,  but when I saw L’Oréal’s Youth Code Luminizer Serum at my local B&M Bargains Store, I just bought it. This serum has been sitting in my stash for a while (I had other serums to finish first). However, I managed to get on top of my part-used serums (I finished all 3 in the past 3 months – success!) a few weeks ago. And since then I’ve been using this L’Oréal serum.

Before I tell you why I love this product, let me tell you what it claims to do. L’Oréal’s Youth Code Luminizer Serum is aimed at women aged 25-40 who want skin hydration and a more radiant, more even and more youthful complexion. The serum claims to be highly-concentrated, and it promises visible results after 1 month.
L'Oreal Luminizer Serum
Now here’s why I love this serum! First of all, I really like the pump dispenser. Two pumps give me the perfect amount of product for my face and neck. Great stuff! The serum smells absolutley lovely (it reminds me a lot of D&G Light Blue!). The lemoney-fresh fragrance goes very well with the Luminizer theme. Well done, L’Oréal!

I’m happy to report that the serum feels smooth and silky on my skin. It’s definitely hydrating, but it doesn’t feel like “product” on my skin. It’s very lightweight! I like it! I’ve also noticed that this serum made my skin look fresher. So yes, I could see results in less than a month!

I’m very happy to continue to use this serum – and I’m just as happy to recommend it. L’Oréal’s Youth Code Luminizer Serum is available as 30ml for £4.99 at B&M Bargains (I’ve also seen it at TK Maxx – but not this cheap, and I guess other bargain stores have it too). Yes, it’s an import from Germany – but who cares?

I think the price is amazing – especially when you consider that certain reputable online sellers offer this serum for £24.99 (yes, 5 times the price I paid for the same amount of product). I’m pretty sure this serum has been discontinued, so if you want it, you should swing by your local bargain stores and get it now!

100% Awesome – L’Oréal Skin Perfection Velvety-Soft Toner

L'Oreal Velvety Soft TonerHi there! Today’s post is about L’Oréal’s Skin Perfection Velvety-Soft Toner. As you can see from the title of this post, I am in love with this toner.

Now let me tell you why. So, this toner promises to remove impurities and to reveal toned and silky-smooth skin.

In addition, the toner is paraben-free, it’s hypo-allergenic and it’s suitable for sensitive skin.

I’ve been using this toner for a few weeks now, and I can say it is definitely suitable for my sensitive (and moody) skin. No redness, no stinging, no burning.

This toner feels… like no other! That’s because it really feels velvety on my skin – I love it!

I’m also very happy with how well this toner cleanses my face. It removes make-up and cream cleanser residue with ease and it makes my skin feel clean, clear and velvety. It’s amazing!

Another bonus is the lovely and subtle fragrance – it’s pure, fresh and ‘pink’. It’s the perfect fragrance to go with the colour and the bottle design. So yeah, I would recommend this toner to everyone. If you’re looking for a new toner, give this one a try!

L’Oréal’s Skin Perfection Velvety-Soft Toner is available as 200ml for about £4. However, look out for special offers – I bought mine on a 2 for £5 offer – which is excellent value. 🙂 And since I love the toner so much, I want to try the matching cleanser too. Yes, I’ll continue to use the half-used products in my rota first. But the cleanser will move in with me too – no doubt!

If you’ve tried this toner, I’d love to hear to hear what you think. Feel free to leave a comment. And thanks for reading!

L’Oréal Sublimist Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser

L'Oréal SublimistHi there! Today’s post is about L’Oréal’s Sublimist Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser.

I only had this small sample, but it was enough for me to conclude this is an excellent face cream! Now let me tell you why.

When I applied the cream, I noticed the rich texture. The cream felt great on my dry skin. But I wasn’t sure if this rich cream would be a good base for make-up.

My worries were unfounded because – within a minute – the cream had sunk into my skin nicely. What remained was the feeling of a silky, lightweight moisturiser on my skin. And yes, this cream is a good base for make-up. I found the scent of this face cream to be pleasant as well. It’s not too strong – it’s just right.

The only thing I’m not super happy with is that this cream doesn’t contain sunscreen. I do like my facial moisturisers to have SPF 15. So I wouldn’t use this cream on sunny days (because my foundation doesn’t contain sunscreen). However, if you prefer a face cream without SPF, I would definitely recommend this product!

L’Oréal’s Sublimist Skin Perfection Day Moisturiser is available as 50ml for £15. As always, keep your eyes peeled for half price or BOGOF offers. 🙂
