Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post. And this mani is also my attempt at Animal Print nails which is challenge #13 of the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge.
For this mani I painted my nails with Essence Aquatix 04 Under The Sea. This polish is supposed to be a holographic nail polish, but the holo effect isn’t very strong. And I would describe the actual colour of this polish as steel. Or steel-y. It’s neither grey nor blue.
The cute sea life images are featured on MoYou’s Doodles 07 stamping plate. The black polish I stamped with is NYC In A Minute 001 Evil.
I realise that the person who thought up the original 31 Days Nail Art Challenge thought of Animal Print nails as zebra or leopard nails (or something similar). But I didn’t want to do another animal stripes mani so soon. And sea creatures are animals too, so I think I’m OK. 🙂
I like this mani! The holo polish could be prettier, but the images are just too cute. What do you think? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by!
Hi there! I’ve got a Nail Of The Day post for you today.
For this mani I painted my nails with 1 coat of Ciaté’s Sugar Plum. And then I sponged on another coat of polish.
Why? Well, the bottle is almost empty, and it was next to impossible to get any polish out of the bottle.
There’s still a little polish left in the bottle, but it won’t be enough for a full mani. It might be enough for 2 accent nails – we’ll see… 🙂
Now back to this mani! The stamping plate I used is Pueen’s 74 plate (you’ve seen it before, and it’s part of Pueen’s Stamping Buffet collection).
And the black polish I stamped with is NYC In A Minute 001 Evil.
I’m really happy with this mani. What do you think? Feel free to comment. And thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it. 🙂
Hi there! I’ve got another nail post for you today. This mani is my attempt at #8 Metallic Nails for the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge (which I’m doing as a lifetime challenge).
For this mani I painted my nails with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Time To Shine, a pale gold with a metallic finish.
The star images I opted for are featured on Pueen’s 44 plate (which is part of Pueen’s Love Elements collection). And the black polish I stamped with is NYC In A Minute 001 Evil.
I like how this mani turned out. It’s got gold and stars, and I think it’s perfect as a pre-Christmas mani.
Feel free to let me know what you think. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Hi there! Today’s post is about another mani that counts towards the 31 Days Nail Art Challenge (which I’m doing as a lifetime challenge). It’s mani #3 Yellow Nails.
For this mani I painted my nails with P2 Color Victim 240 Joyful (3 coats). This polish is a bright and sunny yellow with an old-fashioned frosty finish. It’s not really a favourite.
I used my unbranded Flowers 01 stamping plate and NYC In A Minute 001 Evil to stamp on the images.
I think this mani wasn’t great, but it was OK to wear it for two days. I got a few compliments, but that was only because the shiny yellow caught peoples’ eyes.
Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Hi there! Today’s nail of the day post is another Halloween-themed mani. And it’s also my attempt at #2 Orange nails for the Nail Art Challenge. I think this mani is really spooky – do you agree?
I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 001 Evil (pinky and index fingers, two coats) and Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure 844 On The Mango (ring and middle fingers, thumbs, two coats).
I chose images from 5 different stamping plates: No-name plates M94 (Konad dupe) and A13 (bats), No-name plate JQ-L18 (tree), Bundle Monster BM-224 (spooky mansion) and Bundle Monster BM-222 (pumpkin).
The two polishes I used to stamp on the image were my white Essence Stampy Polish and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto (black).
I do like this mani. I could have paid more attention when I did the middle and index fingers, but I think the pinky and the ring finger look great. Feel free to let me know what you think. And thanks for reading!
Just in case you missed my last Halloween nail idea – cat nails – you can find the post here. And don’t forget to check out my monster slime & bats and my blood spatter manis. 🙂
Hi there! I haven’t done a foil mani in ages – and I don’t even know why. So, finally, I did another one!
At first I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 001 Evil. Not too long ago, when I couldn’t find my black Revlon Colorstay polish, I used this polish for stamping. However, 001 Evil is better for actual nail painting than for stamping.
Since I have many leftover foils in different colours, choosing the right colours wasn’t easy. I started with a gold foil which made the mani look christmassey right away. So to avoid an unseasonably christmassey finish, I used blue and fuchsia foils too.
I’m happy with how the mani turned out. And I got several compliments which made me realise I need to do foil manis more often. I might do another one in a few days. Feel free to let me know what you think. And thank for reading! 🙂
Hi there! The other day I painted my nails with one of my new polishes – NYC In A Minute 027 Love Match.
I don’t really love the colour orange, and I always struggle to come up with ideas on what to do with orange nails. So why I continue to buy (and wear!) orange polishes I’ll never know. 😀
Anyway, I was bored of the orange polish quickly – I’d say it was around the time I was applying the second coat.
So I sponged on NYC In A Minute 264 Lincoln Square Lavender in vertical lines. I really like this polish – the colour is lovely and the formula is great and easy to work with.
OK, there I was – still without an idea on what to do with this half-hearted attempt at a manicure. So I picked Pueen’s 82 plate from Pueen’s Buffet Leisure stamping plates set. I opted for an image featuring stars, hearts and circles.
The black polish I used to stamp on the images is NYC In A Minute 001 Evil. Everything went well until my midle finger had an unfortunate run-in with a blob of black polish – which essentially ruined the image. And when I tried to save the image, I ruined another one (I’m glad you can’t see my thumb!). Ah well, it’s certainly not the worst mani – but I wish I could have avoided the blob accident.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate it. Have a lovely day! 🙂
