NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 30 Seoul, NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain 320 Unforgettable Fuchsia

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 lip products I picked up at Poundland for £1 each – NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 30 Seoul and NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain 320 Unforgettable Fuchsia.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 30 Seoul is lovely! I’m enjoying the colour, the matte look, the cute vanilla flavour and, of course, the soft and velvety feel of this lip cream. I’m glad I bought it. I know I’ll be wearing it a lot this autumn and winter.

NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain 320 Unforgettable Fuchsia is nice too (in a way), but it’s not going to be a favourite product of mine. The colour is insanely intense and bright – which I didn’t expect. Also, this lip stain is very difficult to remove from wherever you apply it. This stuff on your skin is like ink on a piece of blotting paper. But I’ll see if I can incorporate it into my “pretty working from home” routine.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend the NYX lip cream. However, I woldn’t recommend the NYC lip stain unless you’re into very bright and bold lip colours. However, if you’re interested, NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream SMLC 30 Seoul is available as 8ml, and NYC Smooch Proof Liquid Lip Stain 320 Unforgettable Fuchsia is available as 7ml.

NYC City Mono Eyeshadows 915 Broadway Look, 918 Front Raw, 906 Luxury Reborn & Astor Couture Eye Shadow 120 Cocoa, 750 Glam Grey, 800 Pearl

Hi there! Today’s post is about 6 eyeshadows – NYC City Mono Eyeshadows 915 Broadway Look, 918 Front Raw, 906 Luxury Reborn & Astor Couture Eye Shadow 120 Cocoa, 750 Glam Grey, 800 Pearl.

Let’s start with NYC City Mono Eyeshadows 915 Broadway Look. This is a medium to dark grey which has both matte and metallic facets (swatch in photo 4). This is a weird eyeshadow. I won’t keep it.

NYC City Mono Eyeshadows 918 Front Raw is a bright and sparkly piggie pink (swatch in phopto 4). In terms of quality it’s not bad, but I don’t like it at all.

NYC City Mono Eyeshadows 906 Luxury Reborn is a beautiful light brown (swatch below). The eyeshadow has a creamy look to it. It’s so pretty!

I think Front Raw (2) and Luxury Reborn (3) look nice in the swatches, but Broadway Look (1) is just weird. Apologies for the pinkish hue in the first swatch – this is a scar.

Onto Astor Couture Eye Shadow 120 Cocoa which is a medium brown. This shade has a creamy texture and a shimmer-free metallic look (swatch in photo 8). Really nice!

Astor Couture Eye Shadow 750 Glam Grey is a metallic light grey shade (swatch in photo 8). Not bad but not a favourite.

And the last eyeshadow today is Astor Couture Eye Shadow 800 Pearl which is a shimmery white (swatch below). If it wasn’t so poorly pigmented, I could use it to make white stamping polish, but… I really have no use for this eyeshadow.

Cocoa (1) and Glam Grey (2) look nice in the swatches, but you can see that Pearl (3) is not a great product.

I will keep the 2 brownish shades – Luxury Reborn and Cocoa. I will incorportate the 2 grey shades – Broadway Look and Glam Grey – into a few more looks, but I will not keep these eyeshadows for long. And by the time this post is published, the pink and white eyeshadows – Front Raw and Pearl – will have been binned.

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 900 Wonder Purple & Stamping With Born Pretty BP-L078

Hi there! Today’s post is a Nail Of The Day post.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 900 Wonder Purple (2 easy coats).

This is (was) one of my favourite nail polishes ever, but it’s finished now. I’m glad I was able to get one more quality mani out of the bottle.

For the images I used my Born Pretty BP-L078 stamping plate.

The black polish I stamped with is the wonderful Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I liked this mani a lot, and I look forward to creating more purple and black manis.

NYC Kissgloss 534 Tribeca Tangerine

Hi there! Today’s short post is about my current favourite lipgloss – NYC Kissgloss 534 Tribeca Tangerine. Its tagline is shiny lips in fruity flavour!

I’ve already given away that I love this lipgloss, and here’s why! It’s very hydrating, yet not sticky. The micro-shimmer is not visible on my lips – it’s just insanely shiny. And it has most incredible candy banana flavour.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend NYC Kissgloss 534 Tribeca Tangerine to everyone! I found this amazing lipgloss at Poundland. It came in a pack of 2 products (lipgloss + nail polish) for £1.

Revlon CustomEyes 010 Sweet Innocence, NYC Metro Quartet Eyeshadow 816A Chelsea Chic

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 small eyeshadow compacts – Revlon CustomEyes 010 Sweet Innocence and NYC Metro Quartet Eyeshadow 816A Chelsea Chic. Let’s take a look at Revlon CustomEyes 010 Sweet Innocence first!

Sweet Innocence is a cute looking little compact. The 5 shades are dark grey, peachy nude, champagne, dusty plum and vintage pink.

I’ve done a few looks with this palette, but I found the quality of the eyeshadows to be poor. They were chalky, it was impossible to build them up, and they didn’t blend.

After the disappointing experience with the Revlon eyeshadows, I tried NYC Metro Quartet Eyeshadow 816A Chelsea Chic.

This little eye palette contains 4 shades: a pale gunpowder, a medium chocolate brown, a frosty baby pink, and a light brown tinted grey.

I’ve done a few looks with this eyeshadows as well, and I think that the pale gunpowder and the brownish grey were alright. The chocolate brown shade was extremely chalky, and I didn’t care for the frosty pink.

Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend these small eye palettes (or compacts). I found them at some bargain store (Poundland?), so at least I didn’t spend much money on them.

MUA MakeUp Academy Matte Lipstick Fawn Fancy, NYC Color Instinct Eyeshadow Palette 969 Rooftop Cocktails

Hi there! Today’s post is about a lipstick and a small eyeshadow palette. And I’m starting with this MUA MakeUp Academy Matte Lipstick in the shade Fawn Fancy which was £1.

This lipstick is awful. The shade is nice, but the lipstick is waxy, strangely dry and impossible to apply. It broke off the first time I used it. Not a surprise – I tried a few lipsticks from this line before, and I remember that this happened with at least 2 of them. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a matte lipstick from MUA again. Having said this, their creamy lipsticks (which are also £1 only) are lovely!

Onto this NYC Color Instinct Eyeshadow Palette 969 Rooftop Cocktails which was 99p at Fragrance Direct.

This is a small eye palette that contains 4 eyeshadows – a dusty lavender, a light blue, a light green, and a pale champagne highlighter shade.

I bought this palette a while ago, but I never used it until I gave it a try a few weeks ago. The dusty lavender shade is nice, but it’s poorly pigmented. And I didn’t care for the other 3 shades.

Since I have no use for this palette, it’ll be the latest victim of my 6 months early spring declutter.

Have you tried these products? Which products did you get rid of recently? Feel free to get in touch, and thanks for reading! 😊

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day, Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap Victoria, Glitter & Stamping With Bundle Monster Secret Garden BM 717

Hi there! I hope everyone had a good weekend. Today’s post is about a mani I did earlier this month.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 019 A Perfect Day (2 coats, pinkies, ring fingers) and Rimmel 60 Seconds 503 Mind The Gap Victoria (2 coats, middle and index fingers, thumbs).

I used a rainbow glitter top coat to add colour to the grey nails. That cute glitter top coat is Barry M Amethyst Glitter.

For the images on the blue nails I used my Maniology (formerly Bundle Monster) Secret Garden BM 717 stamping plate. I stamped with a random black polish.

Nail Of The Day – NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink & Stamping With Biutee 02

Hi there! I have a short and sweet Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 258 Prospect Park Pink (2 coats). This is a pale rosey shade with micro-shimmer. I’m not a fan of the colour, but it’s a great base colour for stamping!

For the images I used my Biutee 02 stamping plate. I like the Biutee plates a lot. Most of the images are stunningly beautiful. ♥

The black polish I stamped with is, of couse, the one and only Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.

I liked this mani because it looked nice and summery!

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel Rita Ora 860 Bestival Blue, NYC In A Minute 260 Pop Heart, Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova & Stamping With Pueen 119

Hi there! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with NYC In A Minute 260 Pop Heart (pinkies, ring fingers, 2 coats) and Rimmel Rita Ora 860 Bestival Blue (middle and index fingers, thumbs, 2 coats).

I decided to give the pink nails a bit of sparkle, so I applied 1 coat of the marvellous Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear 235 Supernova.

For the images on the blue nails I used Pueen‘s 119 stamping plate (which belongs to Pueen‘s Make Your Day stamping plate collection). The black polish I stamped with is Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto.
