Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash With Exfoliating Particles

Hi there! Today’s post is about this Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash With Exfoliating Particles.

This face wash is aimed at women who are 40+, and it promises to remove make-up and impurities, to improve skin texture, to reduce the look of lines and wrinkles, and to promote the natural skin cell renewal process for younger looking skin.

I’ve been using this face wash for a few weeks now, and I like it.

This is a cream wash with exfoliatig particles. The exfoliating effect isn’t very strong, but that’s OK (and expected) since it’s supposed to be used daily.

I use this face wash every morning in the shower, and I’m happy to report that it’s also gentle, creamy and refreshing.

Based on my experience, I’d recommend it! If you’re interested, Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash With Exfoliating Particles. is available as 150ml for £4.19. I paid £2.09 (special offer at Boots which was still on last time I checked on 20 June).

HAUL! New Products From Boots, No 7, Sanctuary Spa, Marks & Spencer, Fragonard, Olay, Westlab, Radox, Dead Sea & More

Hi there! Today’s post is about most of the stuff I bought since the post-Christmas sale started. I’m saying most of the stuff because I always forget a lot… OK, let’s take a look at the goodies!

Boots Skincare Treats The Discovery Collection – this was £10 on Boxing Day. I bought 3 of these. The 2 moisturisers are worth £25 alone! The set would have been great value for full price = £20, but it was the most amazing bargain for half price on Boxing Day!

I bought more face masks – but what else is new? Some half price Disney masks, some £1 masks from B&M Bargains.

The Sanctuary Spa Celebration Hamper – this was £20 on Boxing Day and it had the following goodies:

These look amazing!

And these too!

I bought a few more products from Boots’ discontinued Live + Be range. The cheapest item was £1, the most expensive item was £1.75.

A few more Live + Be products.

I also bought fragrances from M&S. The first 2 were £9.50, the third was £12.50. All of them are repurchases.

I bought a number of different Westlab bath salts, the one above was £2.99 at Boots.

I also bought more Radox bath salts. The one above was £2.25 at Sainsburys.

2 more Radox shower gels – these were about £1.30 (or so) each at Superdrug.

Fragonard Belle De Nuit fragrance – £20 at M&S, the Olay Face Wash was £2.09 at Boots, the the Botanics Face Scrub was 33p (£2.33 plus 200 Advantage points for buying a Botanics product).

I also rescued 2 Dead Sea Natural Mineral Soaps from the clearance bin.

And this is it! Quite a bit, eh? Well, what can I say. I’ll always be a bargain hunter! Thanks for stopping by today! 😊

Empties – April 2017

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in April. I have used several face masks – but I didn’t keep the empty sachets. But you can read about my latest face mask finds here. Now let’s get to the big empties! 🙂

1 Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash – this is a nice creamy face wash. I have 10+ face washes in my stash, so at the moment I’m not buying any more. I would, however, buy this face wash again! I’ve been using this product since November last last year.

2 Burberry Weekend – the ultimate inoffensive office fragrance. I won’t be buying this fragrance again. It’s just too random and too forgettable. I’ve been using this fragrance on and off for several (5+) years.

3 Boots Extracts Rosehip Body Butter – one of my favourite body butters. It’s been discontinued, but I have a few more tubs in my stash! This body butter lasted me for about six weeks – although I didn’t use it every day.

4 Boots Extracts Satsuma Body Spray – a decent body spray. This one was a limited edition body spray, so I can’t repurchase it. I’ve been using this body spray since February – but not every day.

5 Superdrug Moisturising Cocoa Butter Body Lotion – not great. I wouldn’t buy it again. My husband and I used this body lotion as a foot lotion – so this one is a shared empty. We’ve been using this “foot lotion” on and off since September last year.

6 L’Oréal Elvital Color-Vive Deep Conditioner – this deep conditioner is fantastic! I bought a back-up bottle last month. I started to use this product in April last year, so it lasted 12 months!

Superdrug Extracts Grapefruit & Papaya Conditioner – a mediocre conditioner. It’s not good, it’s not bad… it’s just mediocre. I won’t buy it again. The conditioner lasted me 3 weeks. I have passed the matching leftover shampoo on to my husband.

8 Maybelline Black Eyeliner – this is a nice eyeliner. I would buy it again. However, I have five more of these and dozens of other black eyeliner pencils, so I won’t be stocking up any time soon. I don’t know when I started to use this eyeliner because I have about 20 eyeliners in a rota…

9 Yves Rocher Lemon Basil Refreshing Shower Gel (50ml) – this one is quite nice. I might buy it again – but next time it would be the full-size bottle! I finished this travel-size shower gel within a few days.

10 Simple Pleasures Winter Woodland Snow Flurries Shower Gel (120ml) – it was nice while it lasted. But I wouldn’t buy it again. I’ve been using this shower gel on and off for 2 or 3 weeks.

11 Simple Pleasures Winter Woodland Berry Frost Shower Gel (120ml) – just like the other Simple Pleasures shower gel, this one was nice enough. But I don’t really need to buy it again… I’ve been using this shower gel on and off for 2 or 3 weeks.

12 Superdrug Vitamin E Skin Care Nourishing Eye Cream – I liked this eye cream. It’s not as nourishing as I expected it to be, but it’s still a really good eye cream. I will repurchase it. I started to use this eye cream in October last year. Then I lost it, but I found it again, and now it’s finished!

13 DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Body Lotion (150ml) – I received this boy lotion as a gift ages ago, but I only started to use it (on and off) in December last year. This body lotion is extemely runny, and I also don’t care for the fragrance. I should have re-gifted it…

14 Sanctuary Spa Crème Soufflé – this moisturiser feels very luxurious. And I love the Sanctuary Spa fragrance! I’ve used this product on an off for about a year (it’s a huge 475ml tub after all), and now it’s finished. I have another tub left in my stash. But I promise it won’t take another year for tub number 2 to be finished. 🙂

15 Superdrug Clearly Youthful SPF 15 Skin Balancing Moisturiser – I’m glad this product is gone. It’s the worst face cream I’ve ever tried because it’s not even a proper cream. This awful ‘paste’ balled up every time, so I could only use it as a targeted night-time blemish treatment. I started to use this product in late October or early November last year.

16 Max Factor Pan Stik 25 Fair – my holy grail of foundation! This Pan Stik has been 1 of the 6 Pan Stiks I’ve been using for the past year. I have a few back-up Pan Stiks. 🙂

17 Yves Rocher Apple Star Anise Refreshing Exfoliating Shower Gel – this is a very nice exfoliating shower gel! Unfortunately it’s been discontinued, otherwise I’d buy it again. I started to use this product in July last year (!), then I used other exfoliating shower products, so I only finished this one this month.

18 Imperial Leather Indulgence Beautiful Shower Gel – I love this shower gel! Of course I have a back-up bottle! 🙂 I started to use this shower gel in January.

19 Body Fantasies Pink Grapefruit Fantasy – this sugary grapefruit fragrance is not very sophisticated, and it’s incredibly sweet. However, it’s alright. It’s also a good ‘base’ for musky fragrances that you wouldn’t like on their own. I’ve been using this fragrance on and off since June or July 2016. I have another bottle, but once bottle number 2 is finished, Pink Grapefruit Fantasy will not move in with me again.

This is everything I finished in April. I didn’t think it would be this much because March already was an exceptionally good month for empties. But hey, I’m not unhappy! 🙂 Let’s see how many products I’ll empty this month! Feel free to comment if you want to. And thanks for stopping by!

December Beauty Awards

Hi there! It’s the end of the month. So it’s time for my monthly favourites. As usual, I only picked products which I’ve reviewed this month. And since I’ve loved quite a few products, it wasn’t easy to pick three favourites and to limit myself to only a few honourable mentions. But I did it! So let’s take a look at the products I loved the most this month.

3rd place – Boots Extracts Cocoa Butter Body Wash
Boots Extracts Cocoa Shower + Bath
I love the taste and the fragrance of chocolate and cocoa. So it’s hardly surprising that I also love chocolate and cocoa scented shower products. Boots did an excellent job with their Cocoa Butter collection. It mops the floor with the more expensive offerings from a certain high street brand. 😉

Runner-Up – Boots Exracts Olive Body Butter
boots-extracts-olive
Boots Extracts Olive Body Butter was one of my favourite products from the Extracts range. And then Boots discontinued it and replaced it with a cheap smelling strawberry body butter… Idiots! I have a few tubs of this wonderful olive body butter left but I know I’ll be sad once they’re finished.

WINNER – Flower Pharm Orange Flower Body Butter
flower-pharm-orange-flower
Flower Pharm’s Orange Flower Body Butter is simply fantastic. The formula is perfect, the orange flower fragrance is divine, the product bursts with natural ingredients and the price is very reasonable. If you see this body butter at your local Home Bargains or TK Maxx store (or wherever), you should just buy it.

Now onto the honourable mentions. I loved all the Superdrug face masks that I’ve tried this month:
Clearly Youthful 3 in 1 Mask / Cleanser / Scrub,
Vitamin E Leave On Mask,
Black Seaweed Peel-Off Mask, and
Superfruits Clay Mask.

And I’m really pleased with my new Olay Anti-Wrinkle cleansing products. I also love Givenchy’s original Ange Ou Démon fragrance. And Alberto Balsam’s Stunning Shine hair products are very nice too!

What do you think of my December favourites? Which products did (or do) you love this month? Feel free to get in touch. And thanks for stopping by!

Weekly Recap 12 – 18 Dec 2016

Hi there! I hope everyone had a good week. I had another busy week. But I’m looking forward to the holidays. I know – who isn’t? 😉 But let me tell you what I’ve been up to this week.

Monday 12 Dec – Givenchy Ange Ou Démon
givenchy-ange-ou-demon-le-secret
I bought myself an Ange Ou Démon gift set a while ago. I used the fragrance on and off (it’s a 50ml bottle, and I think I only have about 10ml left) but I haven’t touched the body care products until recently. I posted the review on Monday. Click here if you’d like to read it.

Tuesday 13 Dec – Dolly’s Mixtures Peach Melba “Just Peachy” Body Mist
Wednesday 14 Dec – Nail Of The Day / 31 Days Nail Art Challenge

On Tuesday I reviewed a body mist which I picked up at my local Home Bargains store for 49p. If you’d like to read the review, click here. Wednesday’s post was another Nail Of The Day post. Click here to read this week’s nail post.

Thursday 15 Dec – Olay Anti-Wrinkle Cleansing Products
olay-anti-wrinkle-cleansing
Thursday’s post was about Olay’s Anti-Wrinkle Cleansing products. I reviewed the face wash, the cleansing milk and the toner. If you’ve missed the post, click here to read it.

Friday 16 Dec – Beauty Hoarder Problems…
upload-2
Friday’s post was about another beauty hoarder problem – about my inability to finish beauty products. Sure, I empty toiletries and face creams – but I can’t seem to finish any actual make-up. But I’m trying to break the curse – I’m trying to finish an eye palette! If you’ve missed the post, you can find it here.

This is it for this week! I hope everyone had a great week and everyone’s enjoying the last weekend before Christmas. 🙂

Olay Anti-Wrinkle Facial Cleansing Products – Cleansing Milk, Face Wash & Toner

Hi there! A few weeks ago I bought a few new Olay products – they were on a better than half price offer (£2.95 each instead of £5.99 each), so I had to have them. Now meet Olay Anti-Wrinkle Cleansing Milk, Olay Anti-Wrinkle Face Wash and Olay Anti-Wrinkle Toner.

Olay’s Ani-Wrinkle cleansing products promise…
– to help reduce the appearance of fine lines,
– to improve dull skin,
– to make skin look and feel smoother,
– to maintain skin suppleness,
– to promote the renewal of skin cells,
– and to “fight signs of ageing as you cleanse” (that’s what it says on the back of these three products).

I’ve now used these products for three weeks. And if you read on, I’ll tell you what I think of Olay’s Anti-Wrinkle cleansing products.
olay-anti-wrinkle-cleansing
I think the cleansing milk is quite effective. It removes my make-up very well, and it doesn’t cause any problems when I use it to remove my eye make-up. I think this cleansing milk makes my skin feel and look smooth and supple. Nice!

I really like the face wash. It reminds me very much of Olay’s Total Effects Face Wash – the texture and the fragrance are the same! I think this face wash makes my skin feel great. It’s creamy and it exfoliates my skin gently. It’s perfect for dry skin and for everyday use.

The toner is very nice too. It removes make-up and cleanser residue without problems, and it makes my skin feel clean and refreshed. Whilst I prefer the fragrance of Olay’s blue toner, I can’t find any issue with this toner.

I don’t think that any of these products have made a difference to my fine lines. But I really enjoy using these cleansing products because they make my skin feel great. In addition, I’m 35, so I can accept that the fine lines aren’t going away. 🙂

Olay’s Anti-Wrinkle cleansing products are available for £5.99 each. The toner and the cleansing milk are 200ml, the face wash is 150ml.
