100% Vegan – Original Source Passionfruit And Jojoba Milk Shower Milk, Original Source Orange Shower Gel

Hi there! Today’s post is about 2 shower gels which I picked up at a local independent bargain store – Original Source Passionfruit & Jojoba Milk Shower Milk and Original Source Orange Shower Gel. These shower gels are imports from Germany.

Original Source Passionfruit & Jojoba Milk Shower Milk smells like the perfect fusion of juicy and tangy passionfruit and creamy jojoba. It’s very enjoyable. This shower milk is also gentle on the skin. I like it!

Original Source Orange Shower Gel is very nice. It smells like juicy oranges. This shower gel is refreshing, and I think it’s perfect for early mornings because it really wakes me up! Well done, Original Source!

Original Source Passionfruit & Jojoba Milk Shower Milk and Original Source Orange Shower Gel are available as 250ml. I paid 90p each.

100% Vegan – Original Source Skin Quench Pineapple & Moringa Oil Body Lotion

Hi there! Today’s post is about Original Source‘s Skin Quench Pineapple & Moringa Oil Body Lotion.

This body lotion contains natural oils, and the fragrance is 100% natural.

What’s the product like? Well, I don’t like it at all. And here’s why:

I have to say that the body lotion hydrates my skin nicely. However, the fragrance is terrible. The body lotion smells like a mix of overly ripe pineapple and furniture polish. Fortunately the fragrance doesn’t linger!

I remember the shower gels from the Skin Quench line – they didn’t smell great either! It’s not surprisig the Skin Quench line didn’t survive.

I won’t continue to use this body lotion on my body, but I’m sure it’ll be perfectly OK as a foot lotion.

Original Source‘s Skin Quench Pineapple & Moringa Oil Body Lotion is approved by the Vegan Society, and it is available as 200ml for £1.79 (Savers).

Suitable For Vegans – Original Source Shower Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea, Vanilla & Raspberry, Skin Quench Cherry & Jojoba Oil

Hi there! Today I’m reviewing 3 shower gels which sound perfect for summer – Original Source Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea, Vanilla & Raspberry, and Skin Quench Cherry & Jojoba Oil. These shower gels are also suitable for vegans – they’re approved by the Vegan Society.

You can find Original Source shower gels in most supermarkets and drugstores where the 250ml bottles retail for £2 to £2.30. Or you can pick them up for £1 or less (bargain stores, special offers). Now onto the reviews!

Original Source Hibiscus & Pomegranate Tea is very nice. It smells of tea, red fruits and exotic flowers. Despite the ‘red’ fragrance this shower gel is actually refreshing. I think it’s one of the best limited editions Original Source ever did!

Original Source Vanilla & Raspberry sounds great – but it’s not. From the bottle it smells like raspberry ice cream, but as soon as you start to lather it up on your skin, the ice cream fragrance disappears, and the shower gel starts to smell like candle wax. The only good thing about this shower gel is that it doesn’t feel drying. However, since I don’t want to shower with anything that smells like candle wax, this shower gel will end up in the hand soap dispenser in the kitchen…

Original Source Skin Quench Cherry & Jojoba Oil is really good. This shower gel is very moisturising (those jojoba oil beads really work), and it smells like boiled cherry sweets. Awesome fun!

Have you tried any of these shower gels, or would you like to try them? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for reading. 🙂

Suitable For Vegans – Original Source Extreme Deep Clean Liquorice Body Scrub, Tropical Pineapple Shower and Mango & Macadamia Shower

Hi there! Today’s post is about three new Original Source shower gels I picked up. (Actually it’s six because I bought two bottles of each fragrance!) I’ve never seen them at the local drugstores, so I was curious when I spotted them at Home Bargains and Poundworld. When I got home, I checked Original Source’s web site and I found out that…

Original Source Extreme Deep Clean Liquorice Body Scrub is for men, Original Source Tropical Pineapple Shower is an Australia-only edition (well, not anymore!), and Original Source Mango & Macadamia Shower is exclusive to Poland (and to British bargain stores, it seems). 🙂
Original Source Shower
Original Source Extreme Deep Clean with Liquorice is an effective body scrub that’s suitable for every day use. But I don’t use it daily – I use it two to three times per week. In regards to the fragrance – if you love liquorice, you’ll love this scrub. It smells delicious!

Original Source Tropical Pineapple Shower smells almost like the white Haribo gummy bears – but without the plasticky sweetness. It’s very pleasant. Unfortunately the fragrance is also very faint. So by the time your body is lathered up, the fragrance is already gone.

Original Source Mango & Macadamia Shower is one of Original Source’s best products. It smells heavenly. I can’t really describe the fragrance – it’s just… heavenly! I have no idea why this product is exclusive to Poland. I’m sure I’m not the only who’d love to see the sickly sweet Mango shower replaced with this amazing Mango & Macadamia shower.

Original Source shower products are usually around £2.20 – but they’re often on sale and you can find them in bargain stores for £1 or less. 🙂

Suitable For Vegans – Original Source Shower Plum & Blackcurrant, Raspberry & Cocoa and Wild Cherry & Nettle

Hi there! I haven’t reviewed any Original Source products in a while. But now’s the time to look at a few fruity shower gels. Meet Original Source Plum & Blackcurrant, Raspberry And Cocoa, and Wild Cherry And Nettle. These shower gels are suitable for vegans – they’re approved by The Vegan Society.
Original Source Shower
Original Source Plum & Blackcurrant is surprisingly refreshing. I thought the plum fragrance would make this shower gel a bit too sweet for summer – but I was wrong. The fragrance actually reminds me of blackcurrant cough lozenges – in a good way. It smells like blackcurrant juice and green currant buds. So yes, this one is definitely suitable for warm summer days.

Original Source Raspberry And Cocoa isn’t my favourite. This fragrant combination smells a bit weird. It’s not bad, but it’s not what I expected – and I can’t smell any raspberries or cocoa. I don’t really care for this shower gel (and neither does my husband), so this one might end up in the hand wash dispenser.

Original Source Wild Cherry And Nettle is another nice surprise. And it’s another shower gel that reminds me of cough lozenges – cherry-flavoured ones, of course. The fragrance isn’t as strong as the plum & blackcurrant fragrance, but it’s definitely yummy!

The RRP for 250ml Original Source shower gels is usually around £2 – but you can find these shower gels for £1 (Poundland and the likes) or less (special offer).

Thank you for stopping by. I really appreciate it. 🙂

Original Source Lemon & Tea Tree vs. Sainsbury’s Lemon Body Wash

Hi there! Today I’m doing another product comparison. Not too long ago I told you how Superdrug’s lime & ginger shower gel fared against the classic Original Source lime shower gel. Now it’s time for the Battle of the Lemons! 🙂

Original Source Lemon & Tea Tree is loved by many people. So it’s not surprising that most supermarkets and drugstores now sell their own cheaper alternative. One of those cheaper alternatives is Sainsbury’s Lemon Body Wash.

Both lines are vegan; Original Source’s products are approved by the Vegan Society, whilst Sainsbury’s shower gels are BUAV-approved and carry the Leaping Bunny logo
Original Source vs Sainsburys Lemon
Let’s start with Original Source Lemon & Tea Tree. This shower gel has been a favourite of mine for many years. I love the cool and zesty lemon fragrance, especially in summer, because it’s very refreshing on a hot day. I also think that this shower gel brightens my skin – it must be the vit C from the lemons.

Sainsbury’s Lemon Body Wash smells fresh and zesty as well, but the scent is much weaker and considerably less natural. It’s not unpleasant, though. In summary, Sainsbury’s did an OK job with its lemon body wash. However, it can’t compete with the original.

In my opinion, Original Source is the clear winner of the Battle of the Lemons. Original Source’s Lemon & Tea Tree shower gel (250 ml) is available for about £2.20, but it can usually be found for £1 somewhere. Sainsbury’s Lemon Body Wash (250 ml) can be yours for 90p or even less if it’s on special offer.

Original Source Pink Grapefruit Shower, Blood Orange Daily Scrub and Skin Quench Blackcurrant & Moringa Oil

Hi there! Today’s post is about some of Original Source’s fruitiest shower gels: Original Source Pink Grapefruit, Blood Orange Daily Scrub and Skin Quench Blackcurrant & Moringa Oil. These shower gels are perfect for summer because they’re fruity, juicy and truly refreshing. I think they’re absolutely fantastic and I’ll buy them all again. But let’s take a closer look…
Original Source Shower
I love all things grapefruit, so I was happy to see that Original Source finally did a Pink Grapefruit shower gel. It’s incredibly refreshing and it smells of juicy grapefruits. Yummy!

The new Blood Orange Daily Scrub is absolutely fantastic. It makes my skin feel really soft, and the fresh and zingy scent of this shower scrub is truly delightful. This is definitely going to become a new beauty staple for me.

The Blackcurrant & Moringa Oil shower gel was a very pleasant surprise after the other three skin quench shower gels left me disappointed. This Blackcurrant & Moringa shower gel contains moisturising oil beads that really work, and it smells like sun-drenched blackcurrants.

Original Source shower gels are approved by the Vegan Society. The skin quench shower gels and the scrubs are quite new and they’re £2.69 each, the regular shower gels are £2.20 each. However, if you shop around, you can find half price or BOGOF deals easily. At the moment the big four supermarkets, Wilko and the two big drugstores all have some kind of deal.
