Empties – September 2020

Hi there! Today’s post is about all the products I emptied in September. As always, I used a number of single-use face masks, and if you’re wondering if they were any good, you can click here to read about my latest face mask finds. Now let’s take a look at the big bottles, tubs, etc…

1 Superdrug Naturally Radiant Glycolic Tonic – one of my favourite skin care products. I’ve already repurchased it.

2 L’Oréal Fine Flowers Gel-Cream Wash – this is a decent face wash. Repurchase? Probably!

3 NSPA Deliciously Soft And Sweet Peach Shower & Bath Gel – this isn’t a great shower gel. Most of it went into the hand wash dispenser. I wouldn’t care to buy it again.

4 Original Source Hydrating Water Infusions Pineapple & Lemon Zest Shower – this is a nice shower gel that I might buy again.

5 I Love… Juicy Watermelon Revitalizing Shower Gel – a decent shower gel. However, this is a huge 750ml bottle, and the fragrance got old less than halfway through the bottle, so I repurposed this shower gel as a hand wash.

6 Original Source Plum & Blackcurrant Shower – I really liked this one. Smells like yummy cough lozenges. 😍 I believe this one has been discontinued, but I think I have one more bottle in my stash.

7 Orly Clear Nail Polish – the best quick-dry polish I’ve ever used. I can paint my nails with it and 2 minutes later I can get in the shower and wash my hair. I have 7 or 8 more bottles of this amazing nail polish.

8 NYC 16H Lipstain 491 Forever Freesia – this is an amazing product. I think that I have a backup!

9 Manhattan Colour Loop Lipgloss 52S Soft Nude – I love this lipgloss. I think this is the 3rd one I’ve finished. And I have 4 more – 2 red, 1 brown(ish) as above, 1 berry! 😍

10 Elizavecca Milky Piggy Aqua Rising Argan Gelato Steam Cream – this is a very good face cream. It doesn’t have SPF, but since I’ve been working from home since March (and still am), I used it as a day and night cream. I would buy this face cream again! But I have a few other Elizavecca products to try first.

11 Original Source Hydrating Water Infusions Raspberry & Rose Water – a nice shower gel. I can see myself buying it again.

12 L’Oréal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Shampoo & Conditioner – this is a very good conditioner. I will buy it (and the matching shampoo) again.

13 Boots Extracts Sweet Mango Body Lotion – I loved this body lotion. Unfortunately, the entire line has been discontinued, and I’m sad that I won’t be able to buy it again.

I think I’ve done well with the big bottles – 5 more shower gels are history. And I’m glad to have finished a few more skin care products as well! Have you tried any of these products or would you like to try any of them? What have you emptied recently? Feel free to get in touch via the comments and thanks for reading! 😘

Nail Of The Day – Rimmel 60 Seconds Rapid Ruby, Revlon Top Speed 330 Emerald & Orly Hair Band

Hi there! I have another Nail Of The Day post for you today! 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Rimmel 60 Seconds 320 Rapid Ruby (2 coats) and Revlon Top Speed 330 Emerald (2 coats). These two polishes are pretty much one-coaters. And the colours are perfect for all kinds of Christmas-themed manis!

The glitter top coat I used is the one and only Orly Hair Band. This top coat is insanely pretty and sparkly. I love how dense it is. And guess what, I only applied 1 coat. Orly did a truly amazing job with this top coat.

This is a mani I did before. It’s super easy to do and it always looks amazing.

Have you done any Christmas manis already? Please do let me know via the comments. And thanks for stopping by!

Nail Of The Day – Invogue Hi Res Glitter Desire, Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies & Stamping With Pueen 111

Hi there! Since this week is Nail Week, here’s another Nail Of The Day post. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with a Invogue Hi Res Glitter Desire (2 coats, pinkies and ring fingers) and Rimmel Lycra Pro 431 Stormy Skies (2 coats as well, middle and index fingers, thumbs).

For the images I used Orly Snow Cone and Pueen‘s 111 plate, which is part of Pueen‘s super gorgeous Make Your Day stamping plate collection.

I think this mani looked alright. It was definitely not bad, but I think it was nothing special.

Nail Of The Day – Revlon Colorstay 290 Midnight & Stamping With MoYou London Animals 05

Hi there! I have a Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this mani I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 290 Midnight (2 coats). I love this polish (I love quite a few Revlon Colorstay polishes because they’re awesome).

I used my (relatively new) MoYou London Animals 05 plate – which I bought because it has a number of marine images. I own several stamping plates with marine images, and I’ve done quite a few marine manis over the years – and I know I’ll be doing many more!

The light blue polish I stamped with is Orly Snow Cone. It’s not a stamping polish, but it stamps perfectly. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Orly Basket Case & Stamping With Pueen 116 + 117

Hi there! Here’s another mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Orly Basket Case (2 coats). I love this polish. The colour is gorgeous, and the formula is absolutely perfect.

For the images I used 2 stamping plates – Pueen 116 (thumbs, index and middle fingers) and Pueen 117 (ring fingers, pinkies). These 2 stamping plates are part of Pueen‘s super cute Make Your Day stamping plate collection.

The black polish I stamped with is Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 Black Satin.

I didn’t love this mani, but it was a nice enough filler mani for a few days.

Nail Of The Day – Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy, Orly Hair Band, Water Decals & Stamping With Pueen 103

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did a few weeks ago.

For this mani I painted my nails with Astor Fashion Studio 002 Cotton Candy (2 coats, thumbs, index and middle fingers).

This is an OK nail polish. I decided to use it for this mani because the bottle is more than half-empty, and I’m thinking I might actually finish this polish!

I used Pueen‘s 103 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Make Your Day stamping plate collection) and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto for the images.

I used floral water decals for my ring fingers and pinkies, and I painted 1 coat of Orly Hair Band over them.

I didn’t love the mani, but I did like it. This was a nicer than expected filler mani. 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Christmas Nail Ideas / Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night & Stamping

Hi there! Today’s nail post is about my interpretation of a blue and silver winter mani.

For this look I painted my nails with Revlon Colorstay 180 Indigo Night (2 coats).

I used my unbranded Christmas-themed stamping plate and 2 regular polishes (Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 280 Pure Silver and Orly Snow Cone) to stamp wintry images onto my nails.

I really love this mani! Blue and silver look great together, and the double-stamped images look amazing!

How do you like this mani? Feel free to get in touch via the comments. And thanks for stopping by! 🙂

Nail Of The Day – Orly Terracotta & Stamping With Pueen 72

Hi there! Today’s post is about a mani I did this summer (but forgot to show you…). Oops!

For this mani I painted my nails with Orly Terracotta (2 coats). I don’t know why they called this shade Terracotta. It’s a bright and beautiful watermelon-red.

I wanted to stamp, and I chose one of my favourite stamping plates – Pueen‘s 72 plate which is part of Pueen‘s Stamping Buffet collection. The polish I stamped with is MoYou London‘s Cancun Coral.

I didn’t love the mani because I’m really not a big fan of orange or red nails, but I think it looked nice and summery.

Nail Of The Day – Orly Basket Case & Stamping With MoYou London Illusion 09

Hi there! I’ve got another short Nail Of The Day post for you today.

For this mani I painted my nails with Orly Basket Case (2 coats).

I love this polish. The colour is gorgeous, the formula is a dream, and the polish dries reasonably quickly. Great stuff, Orly!

I used my new MoYou London Illusion 09 stamping plate and Revlon Colorstay 270 Stiletto for the images.

I really like the look of this mani. This stamping plate wasn’t my first choice, but now I’m glad I bought it. I can’t wait to use this stamping plate again!

Oh, and by the way, if you’d like to order from MoYou, you can get 10% off if you order through this link.

Nail Of The Day – Orly Basket Case & Stamping With Pueen 56

HI there! Happy Saturday! I’ve got another Nail Of The Day post for you today. 🙂

For this simple mani I painted my nails with Orly Basket Case (2 coats). I love this polish. The colour is simply gorgeous, and the formula is just perfect.

For the stamping bit I chose Pueen‘s 56 plate (which is part of Pueen‘s Stamping Buffet collection). This is one of a number of stamping plates that I’ve never used, even though it’s been in my stash for ages.

The black polish I stamped with is a home-made “stamping” polish.

I didn’t like the mani because I didn’t like the images. I might give this stamping plate another try, or I might just give it away.
